Do we receive witnesses from men?

Our witness comes from Yahuah through His Ruach (Spirit) given to us for Truth.

1 John 5:9-10 If we accept the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of Yahuah; because this is the testimony of Yahuah which He has testified about His Son: The one believing in the Son of Yahuah has the testimony in himself. The one not believing Yahuah has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony which Yahuah has testified concerning His Son.

Most testimony (witnesses) comes from men, but to deny the maiden (virgin) birth and Yahusha as Messiah and Son of Yahuah is to deny the testimony of Yahuah Himself, so to deny this is to call Yahuah a liar.

 

Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore Yahuah Himself gives you a sign: Look, the maiden conceives and gives birth to a Son, and shall call His Name Immanu’el.

1 John 5:11-12 And this is the witness (testimony): that Elohim has given us everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. He who possesses the Son possesses life, he who does not possess the Son of Elohim does not possess life.

 

1 john 5:13 These things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of Eloyim; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of Eloyim.

Believing in the name of Yahusha is critical for deliverance (salvation) as the name of the Father Yahuah is in Yahusha's name and scripture states there is deliverance in no other name.

Exodus 23:21 “Be on guard before Him and obey His voice. Do not rebel against Him, for He is not going to pardon your transgression, for My Name is in Him.

 

Acts 4:12 “And there is no deliverance# in anyone else, for there is no other Name under the heaven given among men by which we need to be saved.”

#Deliverance (Save), salvation means Yah-saves in Hebrew.

 

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of Elohim has come and has given us an understanding, so that we might know the true One. And we are in the true One, in His Son Yahusha Messiah. This is the true Elohim and everlasting life.

 

Elohim is love- Part 2

 

 

 

Love must come first, if we do not have love for Yah, we will struggle to keep the commands of Yah. To keep the commands will not give us everlasting life but it proves to Elohim that we truly love Him.

1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy, …

2 John 6 And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands. This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it.

 

John 14:15 “If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.

John 14:21 “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

John 14:23 Yahusha answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The perfect sequence: first love, then obedience.

1 John 5:4-5 because everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world: our belief. Who is the one who overcomes the world but he who believes that Yahusha is the Son of Elohim?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Who are the overcomers?

Remember Jacob’s (Yaaqob) name was changed to Israel (Yisra’el) because he “overcame (prevailed) with Elohom.” Revelation uses the word “overcome” (and “overcomers”) no less than 17 times. Who else overcomes with El but Yisra’el, the true Yisra’el!

 

 

 

 

Through love for Yah will we obey and overcome the world through true belief.

Elohim is love- Part 1

 

 

 

Love must come first, if we do not have love, we are going to struggle to love Yah and our neighbor. The thing I have leant over the years is that there are two types of love; a) the worldly love and b) the true love.

We need true love.

 

1 John 4:7-8 Beloved ones, let us love one another, because love is of Elohim, and everyone who loves has been born of Elohim, and knows Elohim. The one who does not love does not know Elohim, for Elohim is love.

Yah's character is only true love. His commands are only an extension of His character and love for mankind. One can memorize the scripture from cover to cover but if he is not obedient to Yahuah's commands and does not have genuine Elohim guided love for his neighbor, then it is all vanity and meaningless and self-righteous.

1 John 4:9-10 By this the love of Elohim was manifested in us, that Elohim has sent His only brought-forth Son into the world, in order that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved Elohim, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be an atoning offering for our sins.

When we have His Spirit in us, we have true love.

 

1 John 4:11-12 Beloved ones, if Elohim so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen the Father at any time. If we love one another, Elohim does stay in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

The pre-existent Son declared, and was the One who appeared to men (John 1:18). If we say we love Yahuah who we cannot see, then it must be easier to love our neighbor which we can see. The question is, who is our neighbor? Is it the person living next to your property or is everyone your neighbor by which you then need to love? In my opinion my neighbor is those who believe and follow Yahuah. Please note that I do not say my way of seeing my neighbor is all correct.

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that Elohim has for us. Elohim is love, and he who stays in love stays in Elohim, and Elohim in him.

To me, this verse shows me who my neighbor is: if I stay in Yah with love, Yah will stay in me with love. My neighbor will have Yah staying in him/her.

1 John 4:17 By this love has been perfected with us, in order that we might have boldness in the day of judgment, because as He is so are we in this world.

 

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear holds punishment, and he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

Fear is the opposite of faith and the acronym for fear is “false evidence appearing real.” Fear is from satan and only brings torment to a person.

I have struggled many times when in stress or in a difficult situation not to be fearful. But I know I should not fear as Yah is with me. Perfect love or true love casts out fear.

1 John 4:19-20 We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love Elohim,” and hates his brother, he is a liar. For the one not loving his brother whom he has seen, how is he able to love Elohim whom he has not seen?

Very strong words and very true. We cannot say we love Yahuah and then hate our brother or neighbor – to me means my fellow believer.

 

1 John 4:21 And we have this command from Him, that the one loving Elohim should love his brother too.

Their it is a command.

 

 

Given us of His Spirit

 

 

 

Believers are given His Ruach who live in Him (live by His ways because we love Him).

1 John 4:13 By this we know that we stay in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.

His love through His Spirit is perfected in us.

When His love is in us through His Spirit then we will love His commands and we will guard them because of love.

 

1 John 3:24 And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us.

His Spirit (Ruach) in you, makes love to be perfected in you which leads then to loving your neighbor and to loving His commands.

John 14:23 Yahusha answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.

Acts 5;32 “And we are His witnesses to these matters, and so also is the Set-apart Spirit whom Elohim has given to those who obey Him.”

 

1 John 2:5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

But now here is a big warning for all of us as there are those who have a false spirit in them which must be tested.

 

1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are from Elohim; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

Isaiah 8:20 To the Torah and to the witness! If they do not speak according to this Word, it is because they have no light.

A true prophet will only teach what is scripturally sound according to Yahuah’s commands.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The true and the false spirit is mentioned in 1 John 4:2-3 The Spirit of Elohim is known by this: Every spirit which confesses that Yahusha Messiah has come in the flesh is from Yahuah. And every spirit which does not confess that Yahusha Messiah has come in the flesh is not from Elohim; and this is the Anti-Messiah which you heard is coming, and now is already in the world.

Anti-Messiah means to be in the place of Messiah.

1 John 4:4 Little children, you are of Elohim and have overcome them, because He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

The Ruach in you is greater than the world.

 

1 John 4:5-6 They are of the world, therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of Elohim – the one knowing Elohim hears us. He who is not of Elohim does not hear us. By this we know the Spirit of the Truth and the spirit of the delusion.

The one with the true Spirit of Elohim in him, hears Him but the one with the false spirit is in error and hears delusions.
