The family

After studying scripture, I realize the Creator of this universe made us to share His creation with us. He gave us the authority to be in control of the earth and have a free choice to choose what is good and what is wrong.

You will notice that in everything He created be it the animals, birds, insects, plants, trees, people, His mind was set on a family.

The most important part of this family was the people, who He made in His image to be part of His family. A family that would make the correct choices to follow good and not the wrong.

To give us guidance to know what is good, He gave us instructions. Now according to scripture these instructions are called various names; commands, Torah, laws, right-rulings etc. People have turned something intended to be good into being harsh or burdensome commands.

Man has made these simple instructions from Father for good living into something been hard on us. Our minds have been programmed to reject when we hear or see the word commands, laws etc. Example in the army a command given must be obeyed, you do not have a choice to not obey even if you know it is wrong. This simple example of many is implanted in our minds and when we read or see the instructions in scripture, we immediately reject them.

Father’s instructions have always been given to us to guide us to do good.

Now I believe these instructions given by Father is the 10 Words He spoke at Mt Sinai in Exodus 20, also known as the 10 commandments.

I believe Moses did give other commands that the Father approved which are good to follow but the 10 Words (commands) are directly from Father for His people to be in covenant with Him. This is all a free choice.

I do not believe as mentioned by the rabbis and other religious leaders that the 5 books of Moses are all to be known as the Torah. There are instructions given within these books. The 5 books do not consist of instructions only therefore cannot be known as instructions only. Although majority of the books of Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy consist of instructions, these instructions mostly were given for the people at that present time who were preparing to go into the promised land. Torah means instructions (pointing in the right direction).

I will be writing a message in the near future regarding the Torah and go into details why these commands are for our daily living. There is a difference between the commands Yahuah gave directly and the commands given through Moses.

Think about this for a moment. If the 5 books (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) are the Torah and they are all applicable for us, then we need to obey all the instructions within these 5 books. Now almost the whole book of Leviticus and Numbers speak of slaughtering’s and offerings of animals etc. Why are we not then doing what these books are telling us to do? Many religious leaders will say they cannot do them because of this and that, no temple etc. Are these excuses valued?

This is how I see the Creator Father when I turn back to walking with Him.

I hear His voice and then choose to hear or not hear. Many of us like myself did not hear at first but we realized it is better to be a family with Him, and we turn back (repent) after hearing Him. He accepts us (forgives), saves us from the wrong and accepts us as His family.

A free choice to be part of His family.
