The Chosen people

Yahuah says in Exodus 19:5, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be my treasured possession above all the people's.

Obey My voice, and I shall be your Elohim, and you will be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, so that it be well with you - Jeremiah 7:23.

Why was Abraham chosen: Genesis 26:5, because Abraham obeyed My voice and guarded My Charge; My commands, My laws and My Torah. Abba called him His friend.

Obedience to Elohim is love for Him.

Does Messiah say anything different! John 14:15; "If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.

Messiah says in John 14:23, "If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word (commands). And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.

John 3:36 says that he who believes in the Son (Messiah) possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life.

This does not sound like "once saved always saved."

Are you considered His chosen if you are a Jew, a Rabbi, a Pastor, a Priest, or someone that attends church every Sunday, keep the Sabbath, know the Bible (scriptures) from beginning to end or just being a good person?

What do people say today as to who are the chosen people: All Jews today say they are the chosen people. All Christians say today they are the chosen (saved) people. But what does Abba Father say who are the chosen ones?

The one who obeys His voice, His Words, His will, His ways, His covenant, His commands/Torah are the chosen.

Abraham did so (Genesis 26:5), and Yahuah again laid down this condition for Yisra’Ãl (Israel) to be His chosen people, and the same applies to us.

Hebrews 4:11  Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. Hebrews 3:18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey?

Hebrews 5:9  And having been perfected, He became the Causer of everlasting deliverance to all those obeying Him,... Messiah was obedient, so must we. Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.

Obedience is love. Messiah tells us what love is ..... “As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Stay in My love.

“If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love - John 15:9-10.

Romans 6;16 says you are servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?

So who are the chosen! Those who are in His rest. Read Hebrews 4:11 & 3:18 again. Those who are not in His rest are disobedience and then Exodus 19:5 says to those who are obedience, you will be called His treasured possession (chosen people).

The Israelites - Hebrews 8:8

Heavenly Father Yahuah said to the Israelites if they did not obey His commands (Torah), He would divorce them and send them into the nations. Israel disobeyed Yahauh so He scattered them to all four corners of the world and they lost their identity.

Have you ever wondered where the Israelites are today after they were scattered.

Yahuah made a promise that Israel will always be His chosen people, they are His apple of His eye forever (Deuteronomy 32:10).

Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) said to the apostles in Matthew 10:5-6 to not go to the nations but to go to the lost sheep of Israel.

In Matthew 15:24 Messiah says again that He was sent for the lost sheep of Israel.

Luke 2:32 and 34 is all about Israel. This is what these verses say; 32 light for the unveiling of the gentiles, and the esteem of Your people Israel.” 34 and Simeon blessed them, and said to Mariam His mother, “See, this One is set for a fall and rising of many in Israel (Yisra’Ãl), and for a sign spoken against –

In Revelation 7:4-9 It is mentioned that the tribes of Israel will be sealed at the end.

In Revelation 21 it mentions the renewed heaven and earth and the children of Israel who will be returned.

Yahuah said to Israel when He scattered them out of the promised land that He will take them back as soon as they remove all false worship, proudness and idolatry and turn back to Him and obey His commands (laws).

The Israelites are already returning, look around, you will recognize them! How do you recognize an Israelite? He/she does not look different to other people but by watching the fruits they bear, you  will know them. This is how they look; They are the ones who are born again from above, and now trying to obey all of Yahuah's commands, keeping the 7th day Sabbath and celebrating the set-apart feasts (Leviticus 23). They have the Spirit of Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) which is their savor and worship Him in truth and Spirit. They are set apart (holy) from all other gods and will no longer commit adultery with false idols (worship). They are not part of a church domination, or a Jewish sec, they do not have any worldly traditions but worship Father and His son by His Word through the guidance of His Holy Spirit.

Many believers do not realize or understand that they are part of the lost Israelites and living in Babylon (satan's system), therefore need to listen to what Revelation 18:4 says to us who believe; "Come out of her, my people, least you share in her sins".

Here is the promise to the Israelites: Hebrew 8:8-9 for finding fault with them, He says, “See, the days are coming,” says Yahuah, “when I shall conclude with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah (Yahudah) a renewed covenant, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,” says Yahuah.

Do you read that my Christian brothers and sisters, this verse is coming straight from the New Testament. The weakness of the first covenant at Mount Sinai was not the commands (Law or Torah), which is Holy, just and good (Romans 7:12), but the inability for the people to keep it since the Law (Torah) can tell you right from wrong (Psalm119:105) but it can't change your heart.

But this was said to the Israelites; Because this is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahuah, I will put My Law (Torah) into their mind, and I will inscribe it on their hearts, and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people." And they shall no more teach each one their neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, know Yahuah; because all shall know Me, from the least of them to their great ones - Hebrews 8:10-11.

In all these New Testament verses it is spoken about Israel. The Israelites are still here! Are you one of them?

Now you will find certain race groups who say they are the house of Israel but listen what the scripture tells us who the chosen people will be! Remember in the Old Testament when the 12 tribes were altogether under the leadership of Moses, anybody from other nations who believed and kept the Law where allowed to join one of the tribes. The other nations did not set-up their own tribe, they joined one of the 12 tribes of Israel. It is no different today! It is a heart thing, never has been anything else but your heart that Yahuah looked at or looks at. Exodus 12: 49“There is one Torah (Law) for the native-born (Israel) and for the stranger (other nations) who sojourns among you (12 Tribes of Israel).” These strangers are no longer called other nations when they join one of the tribes of Israel. Yahuah says they are now part of the chosen people. Do you get it? It is all about your heart condition that makes you an Israelite or not.

I pray your eyes and ears are open my Christian brothers and sisters.

Sacrifice Law

All instructions (Torah/commands) should be now written on our hearts as a believer in Yahusha (Jesus) according to Hebrews 8:10 “Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahuah, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. This verse comes straight out of the New Testament which actually is still the same covenant Father made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Israel). Read the above verse again it says a covenant with the house of Israel (Jacob).

The following Old Testament verses tells us that Yahuah always wanted His laws (Words) written on our hearts. Deuteronomy 6:6 “And these Words which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart,... Deuteronomy 11:18 ‘And you shall lay up these Words of Mine in your heart and in your being,.. Deuteronomy 30:14 “For the Word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart – to do it. Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My Torah (law): do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their revilings. Jeremiah 31:33 “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Israel (Jacob) after those days, declares Yahuah: I shall put My Laws (Torah/Word) in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.

Yahuah declares "after those days the laws will be written on their hearts!" After what days? To understand this verse written in Hebrews 8:10, you first need to understand what happened in the so called Old Testament before you can ever understand Hebrews chapter 8. After those days, I believe is when Messiah was here on earth, and went back to heaven to become the High Priest, taking the responsibility back from the Levitical priesthood. Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) paid the price, once and for all, not to be done again. His offering was once and never to be done again. Below is Hebrew chapter 8;

Now the summary of what we are saying is: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Greatness in the heavens, and who serves in the set-apart place and of the true Tent, which Yahuah set up, and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and slaughters. So it was also necessary for this One to have somewhat to offer. For if indeed He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the Torah, who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly, as Moses was warned when he was about to make the Tent. For He said, “See that you make all according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” But now He has obtained a more excellent service, inasmuch as He is also Mediator s of a better covenant, which was constituted on better promises.  For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. For finding fault with them, He says, “See, the days are coming,” says Yahuah, “when I shall conclude with the house of Israel and with the house of Yahudah (Judah) a renewed covenant, not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,” says Yahuah. “Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Israel after those days, says Yahuah, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. “And they shall by no means teach each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know Yahuah,’ because they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. “Because I shall forgive their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall no longer remember.” By saying, ‘renewed,’ He has made the first old. Now what becomes old and growing aged is near disappearing. (taken from ISR but you can read from KJV or NKJV).

Laws that changed, not removed but changed is the offering (sacrificing) laws. Messiah has taken the offerings upon Himself. The offering laws are still in place but now Messiah does them in our place.

No longer do we have to offer blood of lambs (animals) for our sins as the Messiah who was crucified at Passover, shed His blood in place of a lamb and He became the lamb.

In John 1:36 John the baptize said that the Messiah is the lamb.

Revelation 19:7, 9, 21:9, 14, 22, 23, 27, 22:1 and 3 Messiah is called the lamb in all these verses.

Messiah has taken the place as our High Priest for us to be able to speak to Heavenly Father - Hebrew 9:11.

Hebrew 9:12-14 says that Messiah has taken the place of animals for the offering of blood.

Hebrew 9:18-23 talks about the old way of offering and from verse 24-28 is about the new way of offering.

Hebrew 10:16 Yahuah says that the covenant that I make with them after those days, giving My laws into their hearts and in their minds I shall write them (not a different covenant but a better covenant). Confirmed from Hebrews 8:10.

Verse 18-19 Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer a slaughter offering for sins. So, Brothers, having boldness to enter into the Set-Apart Place (Holy Place) by the blood of Messiah.

So, do we still have to celebrate Passover even though Messiah fulfilled it?

Exodus 12: says the Passover is a everlasting feast. Today we no longer do any rituals or offering (Messiah has done it once for us and now it is complete) but we acknowledge this day as Yahuah said in Leviticus 23 this feast (Passover) is His set apart (Holy) feast forever and Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) was their when this was spoken.

The heart of Yahuah

We must remember that when Messiah walked on this earth over 2000 years ago, His message and teachings came all from the Old Testament, the New Testament did not exist when He was here on earth.

The same for the apostles, they taught from the Old Testament scroll.

All the people that are mentioned in the New Testament from Stephen right through to Paul used the Old Testament (called the Tanakh in Hebrew) to teach the Word, they added the Good News of Messiah to their Teaching. All scripture reading came from the Old Testament.

If you want to know the Will of Yahuah and His son, you need to read the Old Testament, if you skip the Old Testament and only read the New Testament, you will not find all the truth and knowledge to grow.

The New Testament only came hundreds of years after the last apostle John died and these were mostly in form of letters which were then added to the scripture of the Old Testament to form part of the inspired Word of Yahauh. This all occurred in the Roman period.

There was a period between the apostle John and the Roman church that a certain sec called the Nazarenes of which the apostles were part of, followed the teachings of Messiah together with the old testament scripture and took the good news to everyone.

2 Timothy 4:-17 and that from a babe you have known the Set-apart (Holy) Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for deliverance through belief in Messiah Yahusha (Jesus). All Scripture is breathed by Elohim and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for setting straight, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of Elohim might be fitted,
equipped for every good work.
What Holy scriptures was Timothy talking about? Could only have been the Tanakh (Old Testament).

1 Samuel 13:14 “But now, your reign is not going to stand. Yahuah shall seek for Himself a man after His own heart,..
Acts 13:22 “And having removed him, He raised up for them David as sovereign, to whom also He gave witness and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse (Yishai), a man after My own heart, who shall do all My desires.’

David knew Yahuah's heart.

Many of the verses that is written down in the New Testament comes directly out of the Old Testament and many people like Paul referenced the Old Testament verses.

To fully understand the Messiah's message in the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John we need to go back to the beginning and read/study the Old Testament about the promised Messiah, His purpose, His commands (Torah), His salvation and His judgement.
We cannot read the last chapter from a story book and expect to know the full story,  we need to read from the beginning to know the full story and get a clear picture. This is the same with the Word of Yahuah! If we want the full picture of His Kingdom, then we need to start reading at the beginning of His Word.

The people like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul and Timothy were inspired by the Set-Apart (Holy) Spirit to proclaim His Word and the New Testament is their witness of the announcement of the true living Messiah given by the Holy Spirit.
Can we exclude the New Testament and only read the Old Testament? No, because then you will not hear the Good News of the Messiah, His return and His final judgement.

Timothy tells us in 2 Timothy 4:2 Proclaim the Word! Be urgent in season, out of season. Reprove, warn, appeal, with all patience and teaching.
All His Word, starting from Genesis (Old) until the last of Revelation (New). Once you have read/studied His Word with the guidance of the Holy Spirit can you and I understand the full picture of our Creator's heart.

This is the heart of Yahuah and the Messiah only did His Father's Will.
