The Word is forever

The Word was from the beginning and the Word will be until forever.

1 Peter 1:22-25 Now that you have cleansed your lives in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another fervently with a clean heart, having been born again – not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible – through the living Word of Elohim, which remains forever, because “All flesh is as grass, and all the esteem of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, but the Word of Elohim remains forever.” And this is the Word, announced as Good News to you.

A repented person has a clean heart (soul), lives the true word through the Ruach (Spirit). The Word was from the beginning and will be at the end.

Isaiah 40:6-8 The voice said, “Cry out!” and he said, “What do I cry?” “All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. “Grass shall wither, the flower shall fade, when the Spirit of Yahuah has blown on it! Truly the people are grass! “Grass shall wither, the flower shall fade, but the Word of our Elohim stands forever.”

Flesh (grass & flower) shall die but the Word of Elohim will be forever and ever.

His Word is the Good News.

Be set apart as I am Set-apart

Prophets were sent to inform the next generations of the Ruach, Messiah and the Good News.

1 Peter 1:10-12 Concerning this deliverance the prophets have sought out and searched out, prophesying concerning the favour for you, searching to know what, or what sort of time, the Spirit which was in them was pointing out concerning Messiah, when it was bearing witness beforehand the sufferings of Messiah, and the esteems that would follow, to whom it was revealed that they were serving, not themselves, but you, in these matters which now have been announced to you through those who brought the Good News to you by the Set-apart Spirit sent from heaven – into which messengers long to look into.

Yahuah sent the prophets for us so we can prepare ourselves to receive the Ruach and then to become set-apart from the world.

1 Peter 1:13-14 Therefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, set your expectation perfectly upon the favour that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Yahusha Messiah, as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance,

Once the truth is revealed to us, we repent (turn and become clean vessels), walk in Yahusha’s path in obedience with the Ruach in us.

1 Peter 1:15-16 instead, as the One who called you isset-apart, so you also should become set apart in all behaviour, because it has been written, “Be set-apart, for I am set-apart.”

Once we have turned away from our old ways, we need to become set-apart as we start walking in His covenant.

Yahuah confirms this in two scripture verses below to be set-apart when you walk in His ways. We cannot serve two masters, it’s one or the other – our choice.

Leviticus 11:44 ‘For I am Yahuah your Elohim, and you shall set yourselves apart. And you shall be set-apart, for I am set-apart. And do not defile yourselves with any creeping creature that creeps on the earth.

Leviticus 19:2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’el, and say to them, ‘Be set-apart, for I Yahuah your Elohim am set-apart.

The Hebrew word here 'Kadosh' means tobe set apart (Holy). True covenant believers are tobe set apart from the world not imitatingtheir ways.

In all behavior, “Be set-apart, for I am set-apart.”

To the chosen in dispersion

Peter (Kepha) wrote to the chosen people scattered in other nations – 1 Peter 1:1.

He speaks about the scattered strangers. Who are these people?

In Matthew 10:6 Messiah says to Peter and the other apostles to go to the lost (scattered) sheep of Israel. Read also Acts 2:8-10.

This same message from Peter about the Good news is to the scattered strangers across the earth.

Then Peter speaks about these people as the chosen or the elect – the called-out ones!

1 Peter 1:2 chosen according to the foreknowledge of Elohim the Father, set apart by the Spirit unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Yahusha Messiah: Favour and peace be increased to you.

According to the foreknowledge of Yahuah. Their election was in accordance with Yah's predetermined purpose known to the prophets and the called-out ones.

The called-out ones are set apart by the Ruach (Spirit) to obedience through the blood of Yahusha Ha Mashiach.

Obedience in what way?

1 Peter 1:13-15 Because of this, having girded up the loins of your mind, and being wide awake, perfecting hope on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Yahshua Messiah, as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves to your former lusts in your ignorance, but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy (set-apart) in all conduct.

1 Peter 1:22 Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Ruach (Spirit) to sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart.

The obedience ones are the children of Yahuah who have turned away from the world’s ways, walking now in obedience to the truth given through the Ruach (Spirt).

Apple of His eye

For the portion of Yahuah is His people; Jacob is the lot of His inheritance. He found him in a desert land, and in the waste, a howling wilderness. He encircled him and cared for him; He guarded him as the pupil (apple) of His eye. As the eagle stirs up its nest; it hovers over its young; it spreads out its wings and takes it, and bears it on its wing. Yahuah alone led him, and there was no strange god with him – Deuteronomy 32:9-12.

Who is the apple of Yahuah’s eye?

His inheritance is Jacob, changed later to Israel to be the apple of His eye. It is Jacob’s decedents and as we will read in Zechariah 2:11 people from other nations are called His people as well.

Is this a land, or a particular place or is it a people Yah has chosen for His inheritance?

Zechariah 2:5 ‘For I Myself am to her,’ declares Yahuah,‘ a wall of fire all around, and for esteem I am in her midst.’”

Yahuah will protect her, not a government, or a religion but the Almighty.

Zechariah 2:6-7 “Oh, Oh! And flee from the land of the north,” declares Yahuah, “for I have scattered you like the four winds of the heavens,” declares Yahuah. “Oh, Tsiyon! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babel.”

Yahuah is telling His people that are scattered around the world to come out of Babel. Take note it is the daughter of Babylon that His people must come out of or escape from. Who is the daughter of Babylon?

Zechariah 2:8 For so says Yahuah of Hosts: He has sent Me after glory, to the nations who plundered you; for he who touches you touches the pupil (apple) of His eye.

At this present moment His people who are the apple of His eye is scattered around the world enslaved in a worldly system.

Zechariah 2:9 “For look, I am waving My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. And you shall know that Yahuah of hosts has sent Me.

The time will come when Yahuah will wave His hand against those nations where His people are scattered.

Zechariah 2:10 “Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Tsiyon! For look, I am coming, and shall dwell in your midst,” declares Yahuah.

His Ruach (Spirit) is now in the midst of His people.

Zechariah 2:11 “And many gentiles (other nations) shall be joined to Yahuah in that day, and they shall become My people. And I shall dwell in your midst. And you shall know that Yahuah of hosts has sent Me to you.

Very clear in this verse who Yahuah’s people are (His apple of His eye).

Confirmed in Isaiah 14:1 Because Yahuah has compassion on Ya’aqob (Jacob), and shall again choose Yisra’el (Israel), and give them rest in their own land. And the strangers shall join them, and they shall cling to the house of Jacob.

Micah 4:2 And many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahuah, to the House of the Elohim of Ya’aqob (Jacob), and let Him teach us His ways, and let us walk in His paths. For out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah, and the word of Yahuah from Jerusalem.”

His people shall know Yahuah and also who Yahuah has sent to bring His people back to Him.
