Peter (Kepha) wrote to the chosen people scattered in other nations – 1 Peter 1:1.
He speaks about the scattered strangers. Who are these people?
In Matthew 10:6 Messiah says to Peter and the other apostles to go to the lost (scattered) sheep of Israel. Read also Acts 2:8-10.
This same message from Peter about the Good news is to the scattered strangers across the earth.
Then Peter speaks about these people as the chosen or the elect – the called-out ones!
1 Peter 1:2 chosen according to the foreknowledge of Elohim the Father, set apart by the Spirit unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Yahusha Messiah: Favour and peace be increased to you.
According to the foreknowledge of Yahuah. Their election was in accordance with Yah's predetermined purpose known to the prophets and the called-out ones.
The called-out ones are set apart by the Ruach (Spirit) to obedience through the blood of Yahusha Ha Mashiach.
Obedience in what way?
1 Peter 1:13-15 Because of this, having girded up the loins of your mind, and being wide awake, perfecting hope on the grace being brought to you at the revelation of Yahshua Messiah, as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves to your former lusts in your ignorance, but according to the Holy One who has called you, you also become holy (set-apart) in all conduct.
1 Peter 1:22 Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth through the Ruach (Spirit) to sincere brotherly love, love one another fervently out of a pure heart.
The obedience ones are the children of Yahuah who have turned away from the world’s ways, walking now in obedience to the truth given through the Ruach (Spirt).
