Nation of pride shall fall

Son of man, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his host: To whom are you like in your greatness? Behold, Assyria was like a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches and forest shade and exalted in height, and his top was among the thick boughs – Ezekiel 31:2-3.

Egypt was compared to Assyria.

Ezekiel 31:3-9 is shown how great a nation Assyria become with everyone prospered even foreigners came to Assyria to fulfill their dreams of wealth.

Ezekiel 31:9 ‘I made it pretty by its many branches, so that all the trees of Eden which were in the garden of Elohim were jealous of it.’

I believe the trees of Eden is compared to the people of Yah who became jealous of Assyria (This is my assumption only).

Ezekiel 31:10 “Therefore thus said the Master Yahuah, ‘Because you have increased in height, and it set its top among the thick foliage, and its heart was lifted up in its height…. (Read Ezekiel 31:11-14).

Assyria became proud because of their greatness and Yah took action against them.

Pride leads to a fall.

Ezekiel 31:15-17 “Thus said the Master Yahuah, ‘In the day when it is brought down to the grave, I shall cause mourning. I shall cover the deep because of it and hold back its streams, and many waters shall be confined. And I shall make Lebanon mourn for it, and all the trees of the field shall wither away because of it. ‘I shall make the nations shake at the sound of its fall, when I bring it down to the grave together with those who descend into the pit. And all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the depths of the earth. ‘They too shall go down to the grave with it, with those slain by the sword. And those who were its strength shall dwell in its shadows among the nations.

Elohim who sets up nations and takes them down, due to pride.

Egypt went the same route as Assyria due to pride and so too shall it be to any nation today who become pride.

Let it be a lesson learnt!
