We shall be like Him.

When we are children of Elohim, we are like Him.

1 John 3:2 Beloved ones, now we are children of Elohim. And it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.

1 John 3:3 And everyone having this expectation in Him cleanses himself, as He is clean. Philippians 3:21 who shall change our lowly body, to be conformed to His esteemed body, according to the working by which He is able even to bring all under His control.

If you are clean (pure) then you will not sin. Read further what John says as it is totally different from what we are taught by men today.

1 John 3:4 Everyone practicing sin also practices lawlessness, and sin is the breaking of the commands or sin is lawlessness.

It is unbelievable to see how people are ignorant of this simple truth.

Sin is clearly defined as the breaking of the commands (Torah). The argument against keeping the commands is extremely weak and non-biblical as if there are no commands, then there would be no sin, and then why would someone need a savior? It is utterly evil to preach a lawless message of salvation.

1 John 3:5-6 And you know that He was revealed that He might take away our sins, and sin is not in Him. Everyone remaining in Him does not (practice) sin. Everyone practicing sin has not seen Him, nor known Him.

1 John 2:4 The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. And 3 John verse 11 Beloved ones, do not imitate the evil, but the good. The one who is doing good is of Elohim, but he who is doing evil has not seen Elohim.

1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

We are taught that we cannot be righteous but here in John 2:29 it says the following: If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone doing righteousness has been born of Him.

1 John 3:8-10 The one doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil. Everyone having been born of Elohim does not sin, because His seed stays in him, and he is powerless to sin, because he has been born of Elohim. In this the children of Elohim and the children of the devil are manifest: Everyone not doing righteousness is not of Elohim, neither the one not loving his brother.

Romans 8:7 tells us that before baptism and the laying on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit (Ruach) the carnal mind is hatred toward Yahuah's commands (Torah). It is the Holy Spirit that changes our heart to write the commands on our very hearts (Hebrew 8:10). Once someone does this he may still as a human being slip up and sin, but he would not practice sin as a lifestyle. Those saying the commands is done away are proving (according to scripture) they still have the carnal mind of their wicked human nature and not the Holy Spirit (Ruach H' Chodesh) of Yahuah.

In Psalm 119:172 it says, all the commandments are righteousness.

Titus 2:14 who gave Himself for us, to redeem us from all lawlessness (sin) and to cleanse for Himself a people, His own possession, ardent for good works.

Lawlessness is a synonym for sin (1 John 3:4). This is the main reason why the Messiah Yahusha came to earth: to save sinners from sin.

Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of Adam is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.

Love one another

Heavenly Father loved us first.

1 John 3:1 See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of Elohim! For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Because He showed us love, so shall we love one another.

1 John 3:11 Because this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another...

1 John 3:12 not as Cain who was of the evil one, and killed his brother. And for what did he kill him? Because his works were evil, but those of his brother were righteous.

We are taught now days that we live by faith only and not by works. But the truth is faith and works are together - by your fruit shall you know if you doing good or bad, for example Cain’s works were evil but Abel’s works were righteous.

1 John 3:13 So be not surprised, my brothers (fellow believers), if the world hates you.

John 17:14 “I have given them Your Word, and the world hated them because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

Believers are in the world but not part of the world. I say not part of the world but we know and Father knows that we cannot be completely out of the world. Where we can and there are many ways, we do not need to be part of the world. We cannot use all sorts of excuses not to be part of the world because there is ways and we can if we really want too.

1 John 3:14-15 We know that we have passed from death to life because we love the brethren. The one not loving his brother remains in death. Everyone hating his brother is a murderer, and you know that every murderer does not have everlasting life abiding in him.

The commandments are a law of love and they teach us how to love Yahuah and how to love our neighbor as ourselves. Hate brings death but love brings forth life. Our brethren are the children of Elohim (fellow believers).

1 John 3:16 By this we have known His love toward us, because that One laid down His life for us; and on behalf of the brethren we ought to lay down ourlives.

Messiah laid His love before us, so too should we for our family and fellow believer.

1 John 3:17 But whoever has worldly possessions, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his mercy from him, how is the love of Elohim in him?

It is a basic tenet of the true faith to use the blessings that Yahuah has bestowed upon a believer to help those in need.

Give and support your family and then your fellow believer.

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

We do not just say “We believe,” we say it, or hear it and do (works) it. So too is it when we say we love our brother and sisters, show it by doing it (works).

1 John 3:19-21 And in this we shall know that we are of the truth, and shall persuade our hearts before Him, that if our heart condemns us, how much more then will Elohim, who is greater than our heart and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not accuse us, we have confidence with Elohim.

Who is the liar?

The one who denies Yahusha the Messiah.

This is an anti-Messiah, the one denying the Father and the Son- 1 John 2:22.

Many claim Yahusha and Yahuah the Father are the same being. If I read scripture carefully then this claim seems to be incorrect.

1 John 2:23 Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.

1 John 2:24 Then what you heard from the beginning, let it abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you will abide both in the Son and in the Father.

What does John mean in this verse: Who are the people that heard this from the beginning? Was it the word he spoke to the new believers or was he referring to John 1:1-2.

The promise

1 John 2:25 And this is the promise which He promised us: Even everlasting life.

John wrote this to us concerning those who lead us astray – 1 John 2:26.

He did not write this because we do not know the truth, but because we know it, and because every lie is not of the truth – 1 John 2:21.

Know the liar!

Who will teach you?

Is it man that will teach you the truth?

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him stays in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as the same anointing does teach you concerning all, and is true, and is no falsehood, and even as it has taught you, you stay in Him.

The anointing one is the Ruach (Holy Spirit) who will teach all the truth and guide you through your life. If you read some scripture verses and do not understand, ask the Ruach living in you to show you the truth. Ask the Ruach to protect or to convict you from receiving the wrong word. The Ruach will convict you when doing wrong or deviating from the truth. Listen to the Ruach.

Is it wrong to listen to pastors or teachers speaking of what is written in scripture? No, many people are blessed with the truth and they are speaking what is been given to them for they are witnessing the truth.

But test everything by asking the Ruach to confirm what you hear from pastors or teachers.

All words must come from scripture and ask for confirmation through the Ruach that Yahuah has given.
