A Good Name is ........

A good name is better than precious oil; ………. - Ecclesiastes 7:1. Your name is much more worth than money, gold and any other riches of this world.

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches; better is grace, rather than silver or gold – Proverbs 22:1.

All the names in scripture have meaning. Heavenly Father gave His prophets names that had part of His Name in it (Hebrew). John in Hebrew means Yahuah(Yahweh) is gracious.  Yohanan = John. Jeremiah = YirmeYahu

Your name is also known to Father, He knows you by your name. Father said in Jeremiah 1:5, I knew you before I formed you in the belly; and before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you.

Your name follows your reputation. People know you by your name. If someone mentions your name to somebody else, that person’s reaction can be a good feeling or it could be a bad feeling.

If you are honest, reliable, kind and true, the mention of your name will be good but if you are dishonest, a liar, a thief, a cheater, poor worker the mention of your name will have a bad feeling or thought.

Your name follows you; this is the reason why Heavenly Father says that a good name is better than precious oil.
