For this reason also, Yahuah highly exalted Him and gave Him a name
above every name – Philippians
2:9.
What is His Son’s Name and where is the
prophesied Name of our Savior in the Old Testament so that I can see it for
myself and also show it to other people!
Do you know where the Name of our Savior is
foretold in the Old Testament?
Many say it is okay to use different names
for the Creator/Messiah; while breaking the third commandment. We have been
lied to by our forefathers in this age of falsehood, not knowing where to find
The Name to call on for salvation in the Hebrew Scriptures; much less how to
prove it.
The Name found in, ‘The Word manifested in
the flesh’, sent to mankind for deliverance.
Acts 10:43, to this One (Messiah) all the Prophets witness, so that through
His Name everyone believing into Him will receive remission of sins.
If The Name of The Savior is of Hebrew
origin, then we most certainly should be able to find the foretelling about
That Name as stated by the prophet’s witness?
I knew our Savior as Jesus most of my life,
never ever thinking on where this Name is found in the Old Testament. The name
Jesus will not be found in the Hebrew text of the Old Testament and also the
1611 KJV Bible did not have the name Jesus written in it. So how did the name
Jesus get into the English Bible?
The name Jesus has a number assigned to it,
as do most words and names in the Greek and Hebrew texts. This number is the
G2424. Original: Ἰησοῦς, οῦ, ὁ; - this identifies the
Greek name in the Greek language. Transliteration: Iesous - this is the
transliteration of the same name from Greek to English. This name Jesus,
according to the “Thayer’s”, has a Hebrew origin. This number is H3091
John 8:18, I am the One witnessing concerning Myself, and He who sent Me, the
Father, witnesses concerning Me.
The Name of The Messiah bears witness to
The Name of The Father, Yahuah.
Many people in the Old Testament like
Yahuah’s prophets had part of the Creator’s Name in their name.
Isaiah = Jeshajah (Yiddish form) / YashaYahu (Correct form) H3470,
means Yahuah has saved.
Elijah =
Eliyah or AlYahu (Correct form) H452
These two names above have part of the
Creators Name in their name = Yahu (Yahuah). If you look at the name Elijah which
is the English and Yiddish spelling, the last part of his name is jah. We know
that there is no letter J in the Hebrew language therefore it should be Yah.
Eli Yah = Yah - uah. The same can be said about many other Hebrew names which
have part of the Creator’s Name.
If the Messiah’s Name in Hebrew is Yeshua,
then the question must be asked; why does the Messiah not have part of His
Father’s Name in His Name. How can the prophets of Heavenly Father have part of
His Name but the Messiah does not have part of His Name. Where does the Name
Yeshua come from?
Yeshua pronounced Ya-shua does not have the
Fathers name in the first part and the second part means to cry out. Ye= He
& shua= cry out. Yashua is H-3442 = “he will save,” but shua actually means
to cry out.
Yeshua is modern Hebrew! Yeshua is not
found in the ancient Hebrew writings.
Yeshua means in modern Hebrew: He will save or He saves. The question
is; who is the one that will save! Who is “He”? Think about it!
The Messiah has the same name as Joshua
(English), so let’s look on the Hebrew word. The transliterations for Joshua
have rendered many different spellings. This has brought about mass confusion
to the Name.
Joshua = Yahowsha/Jehoshua/Yeshua (replacement titles) / Yahusha or
Yahushua*
- H3091 (Yahuah is Salvation).
Joshua’s original name was Husha/Hosea. It was changed by Moses in Numbers 13:16 to Yahusha
by adding one Hebrew letter to his name Ya (Ya husha).
After Judah (Yahudah) came out of
captivity, they changed his name to Yeshua/Yashua. Remember Messiah’s Name was given before
captivity of Judah. *see below for comments on Yahushua.
When you follow H3091, you will get two
Hebrew spellings of Joshua: a) 6 letter spelling & b) 5 letter spelling.
a)
6 letter = Yahushua (see Hebrew
spelling below and note the vowel point – the dot)
b)
5 letter = Yahusha
a)
Yahushua = shua / H-7769
(H7768): means to scream or cry out for help.
b)
Yahusha = sha (yasha)/ H-3467:
means to make free, deliver or Savior
Yahushua means: Yahuah screams or cries out.
Yahusha means: Yahuah delivers or saves.
Shua is from sha, by adding vowel points.
Vowel points were added to the Hebrew letters when Judah came out of captivity.
Original Name in Ancient Paleo Hebrew had no vowel points.Example: Elisha (H477) the prophet has “sha” and means;”El is Savior.”
Elishua (H474)
son of David has “shua” and means; “El of supplication or richness.”
Isaiah = YashaYahu in Hebrew
- H3470. The prophet has also “Yasha” (Yahuah
has saved). If you search the meaning of Elisha & Elishua on the Bible Hub website, it states that both “sha & shua” names means “God is salvation” but if you look deeper into the meaning of sha (H3467) & shua (H7769) on the same website, then only one means salvation. They are two different people with two different names and meaning in the Hebrew language.
Psalms 18:41; They cry (shua – H7769) to
Yahuah, but no one is there to save; He answers them not. In verse 41, David
says that there is no help for his enemies who cried out.
Yahushua, which contains the root H 7769 –
to cry out, the true name of the Messiah contains a different root: H 3467 –
yasha…this means deliverance and/or salvation
2 Samuel 22:3; My Elohim is my rock; I shall
take refuge in Him; my shield, and the horn of my salvation
(yasha), my high tower, and my refuge! My
Savior (masha),
You shall save (tasha)
me from violence.
Deuteronomy 33:29; Blessed are you, O Israel!
Who is like you? A people saved (sha) by Yahuah, the Shield of your help,
and He who is the Sword of your Excellency! And your enemies shall be found
liars before you, and you shall tread on their high places.
Now where do we find Messiah’s Name in
scripture?
The only scripture that gives us the exact
Name of the coming Messiah is found in Zechariah 6:11-12 (Zachariah).
And take silver and gold, and make crowns,
and set on the head of Joshua* / Yehoshua** (Yahusha), the son of Josedech* Yehotsadag**
(Yahutsadak), the high priest. And speak to him, saying, so says Yahuah of
Hosts, saying, Behold! The Man whose name is THE BRANCH! And He shall spring up
out of His place, and He shall build the sanctuary of Yahuah. *=KJV / **=ISR
Scriptures.
"The scriptures foretold of a Branch
of (Yahuah) that would spring forth and do amazing works. It is clear who the
Branch is...."
Revelation 22:16; “I, Yahusha, sent My cherub
to testify these things to you over the congregations. I am the Root (branch)
and Offspring of David, the bright and Morning Star.”
Isaiah 11:1; And a Shoot goes out from the
stump of Jesse, and a Branch will bear fruit out of his roots.
Isaiah 11:10; And it shall be in that day, the
Root of Jesse stands as a banner of His people; nations shall seek to Him; and
His resting place shall be glorious.
Job 14:7; For there is hope of a tree, if it is
cut down, that it will sprout again, and its shoot will not cease.
Isaiah 4:1-2; And in that day seven women shall
take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own
clothing, only let your name be called on us; collect our shame. In that day
the Branch of Yahuah will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth
for pride and for glory for the survivors of Israel.
Jeremiah 23:5-6; Behold, the days come, says
Yahuah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign
and act wisely, and He shall do justice and righteousness in the earth. In His
days Judah (Yahudah) shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is
His name by which He shall be called, Yahuah our righteousness (Yahutzdak).
Jeremiah 33:14-21; Behold, the days come, says
Yahuah, that I will fulfill the good thing which I have promised to the house
of Israel and to the house of Judah. In those days, and at that time, I will
cause a Branch of Righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment
and righteousness in the land. In those days Judah shall be saved, and
Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on
her: Yahuah Righteousness (Yahutzdak). For so says Yahuah, Not a man sitting on
the throne of the house of Israel will be cut off to David. And for the
Levitical priests, they shall not have a man cut off before Me to offer burnt
offerings, and to kindle food offerings, and to do sacrifice continually. And
the Word of Yahuah was to Jeremiah, saying, So says Yahuah, If you can break My
covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, and there should not be day
and night in their time, then My covenant with My servant David may also be
broken, that he should not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the
Levitical priests, My attendants.
Revelation 5:5; And one of the elders said to
me: Do not weep. Behold, the Lion being of the tribe of Judah, the Root of
David, overcame so as to open the scroll, and to loosen its seven seals.
Yahusha the lion of Yahudah (Judah).
Given the various Hebrew spellings of the
original name of Joshua, and the fact that there were four men that bore the
same name as the coming Messiah: we must remember that the prophesy was
concerning the Yahusha (Joshua) in Zachariah 6. Yahuah said
the Messiah would have the same name as Yahusha the son of Yahutzdak, not
Yahusha the son of Nun (whose name was later shortened to Yeshua/Joshua).
Yahusha the priest, son of Yahutzdak (Yahuah-is Righteous), was crowned and
named the Branch who would build the Temple. YAHUSHA is the Name of Messiah!
Messiah carries the root of ‘sha’ (yasha)
which means salvation, thus making Yahusha mean ‘Yah is Salvation!
Many verses in the Old Testament say that
Yahuah will save Israel, therefore only
Yah can Save = Yah is Salvation/Saves.
According to my understanding, vowel points
were added to the Hebrew names/language after Judah came out captivity.
As with Heavenly Father Yahuah, I prefer to
use the ancient Paleo Hebrew Name for the Messiah – Yahusha. Many people Name
Messiah, Yahushua (sometimes Yahshua) with the added vowel points. I am certain
that Yeshua is not the correct Name for the Messiah for the following two
reasons; 1) Yeshua does not witness the Father’s Name = Yahuah, Yahuwah or
Yahweh (John 8:18).
2) Yeshua is a new, with added vowel points and means “He saves” only.
Many will say Father looks at our hearts
and therefore does not matter if we cannot pronounce or spell His name
correctly as long as we are trying, and this may be true. But Father tells us
to search everything, so we cannot just sit back and think everything is okay.
Do not forget the past! You also thought you were walking in truth.
Praise Yahusha Messiah, You are my light
