Law: In letter and in Spirit

Father Yahuah always had instructions (laws) from the beginning and still has today. The law is called Torah in Hebrew which actually means Instructions. The commands was written down in letter and given to man at Mt Sinai as a wedding contract but Father always wanted them in our hearts (soul).

It was and is still a heart thing! It’s your heart that Father wants; “And you shall love Yahuah your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might. “And these Words  which I am commanding you today shall be in your heart, and you shall impress them upon your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up,…..Deuteronomy 6:5-7.
In Deuteronomy 29:29 all secrets belong to Father but what is revealed belongs to us and our children forever, to do all the Words of His instructions and also says in Deuteronomy 30:11-16 the commands are not difficult for us to keep and they are close.

In Deuteronomy 32:46-47 is said that the Words of the instructions should be guarded, the Words are not worthless as it is your life and if you keep them, your days will be prolonged.

Deuteronomy 11:18 says that Father's Word must be in our hearts (Soul).
The law in letter form was given by Yahuah to man via Moses but it would be made perfect by Messiah.

In Jeremiah 31:33 and Ezekiel 11:19 it is said that someday the law would be written in our hearts.
Romans 7:6 but now we have been released from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in newness of Spirit and not in oldness of letter.

In Romans 7:6 it says that the old way will be replaced with a new way, in other words the law that was carried by man would later be carried in our heart (soul – spiritual). Many are taught that this verse means the law is nailed to the stake. It is not the case, our forefathers has made a mistake teaching this. Elohim does not change.
The Messiah lived the instructions perfectly and He is the living Torah (law). When Messiah lives in us His commands will be written in our hearts (spiritual). This is what Father wanted when he gave it to Israel. Abraham did not have the book of the law, he lived it! It was in his heart! No difference today! When we repent, baptized (wash away the old ways), we accept Messiah, the Set-Apart Spirit (Holy Spirit) is given to us and we become progressively like Messiah. Our body is that temple were the Spirit of Messiah lives and leads our life by His standards which is all about His Love for us. Does not mean you no longer require reading His Word (scriptures), it means that what you read will be taken up in your heart and the Spirit of Yahuah will teach you.

When you come to accept Messiah and the Spirit (Holy Spirit) lives in you the works of the law is done out of love for the Creator through His Spirit which is in you. Comes from your heart! Obedience is by love not by fear of punishment.
The in dwelling Spirit of Messiah now gives you guidance from the heart of Messiah.

Romans 8:5 those who live according to the flesh, their minds will be flesh but those who have the Spirit of Messiah in them will live according to the Spirit.
In Matthew 5:17-20 Messiah says that He did not come to destroy the law and prophets but to complete (KJV - fulfill).

Many people use this verse to state that the law is no longer required. But in verse 18 it says that till heaven and earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the law till all be done. Has heaven and earth being passed away, the answer is "No", so all the yods or tittles are still valid. Verse 19 whoever breaks one of these commands and teaches others to also break them shall be called least in the reign of the heavens.
In Romans 3:20 By works of the law no flesh shall be declared right before Him, but the law is the knowledge of sin because if there is no law, there is no sin.

Cannot receive salvation by the law but the law will show what sin is and guide us to the Messiah. Once you found Messiah, and you say you love Him, you will walk in obedience.
Do you know Him? 1 John 2:3-7, and by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands.  The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Verse 5, but whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. Verse 6, the one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. John says in verse 7, beloved, I write no fresh (new) command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.

1 John 5:2-3 If you love Father and His son, you will than obey His commands.
2 John 5-6 Love is not a new command but was from the beginning, when you walk according to His commands, you truly love Him.

Love is a heart thing!
Revelation 22:14, blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life and to enter through the gates of the City.

People will listen to the laws of the governments, the school laws or the laws where they work but when it comes to the Heavenly Father’s instructions, we always have a huge problem. You are called a legalistic person when you obey Father’s instructions.
The next verse is the key to being under the law and for the law to be written on your heart.

Galatians 5:16-18, And I say: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not accomplish the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are opposed to each other, so that you do not do what you desire to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under Torah.
Read verse 18 again; But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under Torah. If your eyes are still closed you will not understand what this verse is saying. If you have not given yourself completely over to Messiah and not led by His Spirit, you will not understand what Paul is saying in this verse. This is what he is saying;

When your walk is in the flesh although you may acknowledge the Messiah by your talk (lips), you will be guided by the written Torah (law). Other words, someone may tell you that the law says you are not allowed to commit adultery as it is against Father’s will and you may or may not accept this. The written law is given to you from an external method. Even though you have received the law externally (flesh), you may still obey them but it may be a struggle or you may not do it willingly.
But when you are led by the Set apart Spirit (Holy Spirit) which is in you (your temple, your heart, your soul), you are not under the law/Torah. Why, because the Torah is written in your heart and the Spirit is leading you. You will love the Torah because you have it in you guided by the Spirit. If you are living unclean, doing your own will, you will suppress the Spirit and you may not hear or listen to the Spirit.

Hope this makes sense! Please pray for guidance!
So keeping the Torah in the fleshy way will always be a struggle and you will always want to break it or try and make excuses not do them.

Keeping the Torah through the Spirit will not be a burden to you and you will keep them with a smile on your face, because you love Elohim (Almighty).
Let’s look at it from another view: Loving someone like your wife or your husband in two different ways; one is lust (flesh) which does not last and other one is from the soul (heart) which is genuine.

Here is an example of keeping a command in the flesh or in the Spirit;
The 4th Command: Remember the Sabbath and rest on the 7th day. Two people are keeping the 4th command, one person is doing it in the flesh and the second person is keeping it in Spirit. Here is the difference!

The person living in the flesh will keep the Sabbath but it will be a burden/struggle. He/she will not look forward to the Sabbath coming because it means they cannot do their own thing. Will always find something to do, or go to bed early so time can pass quickly. The day will be wished by. The whole day is spent on self. The hours will be counted down. Will go out and party once Sabbath is over.
A person that is living by the Spirit cannot wait for the Sabbath. The whole day is spent worshipping and fellowshipping. Will rest the day and feel refreshed at the end of the day. At the end of the Sabbath you will feel ready to tackle the following week, and waiting for the next Sabbath.

Two groups of believers; one worships by their lips and one worships by Spirit/heart!
Note above example is my way of seeing the difference between been in the flesh or in the Spirit. Keeping the Sabbath because you want too or keeping the Sabbath because you are forced too. Is that not the difference between flesh and Spirit? Flesh is from self and Spirit is from Almighty! Pray Father Yahuah gives us wisdom.

 Praise Yah.
