Division

Messiah, "Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword (division), for I have come to bring division, a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law and a man's enemies are those of his own household - Matthew 10:34-36.

In Micah 7:6, it says that the enemies of a man are the men (family members) of his own house.

Why would Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) say He did not come to bring peace but a division! I was confused by this verse when I read it the first time! Is Messiah not love, I was told that He is love, so why these harsh words!

But I went through a division myself at the time of writing and I think I understand better now what Messiah was saying and I will try to explain this in my own words.

Yahuah created us to serve Him (not the other way round), and to have a personnel relationship with us. He did not create us to be robots where He could have implanted in us to only serve Him without any choice.

Like all the Angels in heaven, He has given us a free will! A free choice to serve Him or not to serve Him! A free will to do good or to do bad!

I have asked this question many times and I am sure you have done the same; why does Yahuah not just destroy satan and the wicked ones and then we will not have wickedness in this world! Father can do this if He wanted too, but that is not what He wants!

He wants a person to make his/her own choice to serve Him, not to force someone to serve Him.

So, one day at the end of this age, Father will have people that really love Him and want to serve Him always because they choose for themselves to follow Him. They were not forced to follow Him!

Once we have made the choice to follow Yahusha (Jesus), we then must comply to Father's conditions! The conditions (laws) are there to guide us to Him, not to burden us as many people are been taught.

Satan has one law: do as you wish, and many people prefer to abide to this one law.

Yahusha cares for us just like our daddy and mommy cared for us when we were children.

Remember the parables of the 10 virgins, the sower, weeds between the wheat, the mustard seed, the tree that bears fruit and the wedding feast? These parables are about false believers, lukewarm believers and the true believers.

This is what the division means in a man’s house with his/her family, that the true believers will be separated from the false or lukewarm believers. Man, against his father, a daughter against her mother, and so on - Matthew 10:35-36.

I realize that Yahusha did not say anything about a husband and a wife! Why not? It is because a man and a woman become one at their marriage, and therefore should not be a division between them if they both stay in Yahusha.

Many people confess to believing Yahusha but did you know satan and demons also believe Yahusha - James 2:19.

The division comes between the ones saying they believe and the ones doing the believe!

The false/lukewarm believers’ belief by their lips (bear no fruit) - Matthew 7:15-20.

The true believer has faith by doing (bear good fruit) - John 15:2-5 & 16.

Read also James 2:14-26, My brothers, what use is it for anyone to say he has belief but does not have works? This belief is unable to save him.  And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of daily food, but one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” but you do not give them the bodily needs, what use is it? So also belief, if it does not have works, is in itself dead. But someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me your belief without your works, and I shall show you my belief by my works. You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead? Was not Abraham our father declared right by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? Do you see that the belief was working with his works, and by the works the belief was perfected? And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.” You see, then, that a man is declared right by works, and not by belief alone. In the same way, was not Rahab the whore also declared right by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also the belief is dead without the works.

The true bride (believers) will be the ones that are separated from the false brides and the true bride are the ones that want to be with the Bridegroom (Messiah Yahusha), they are part of Him out of their free will!

Be warned!

Division within families and friends will happen but this can be avoided if the family/friends stay in Yahusha and His Holy Spirit in them!

Sufferings

Do not be surprised as a believer when you go through trials because you must know that these trials will come.

Believers will suffer just as Messiah Yahusha suffered, and we should rejoice when we go through the trials (1 Peter 4:12-13).

Easy said than done but through faith we can! If you are reproached (accuse) for the Name of Messiah, you are blessed, because the Spirit of esteem and of Elohim rests upon you. On their part He blasphemed, but on your part He is praised - 1 Peter 4:14.

If someone mocks you when you speak about Yahusha (Jesus), then you are blessed in the eyes of Messiah but the one that is mocking Messiah is blaspheming Him.

Suffer in Messiah but do not suffer as a murderer, or a thief, or doer of evil, or as a meddler (interfere in) - verse 15.

A wicked person will suffer for his sins when he commits murder, but believers must stay away from these evils. But if one suffers being a 'messianic' let him not be ashamed, but let him esteem Elohim (Almighty) in this matter - 1 Peter 4:16.

So then, those who suffer according to the desire of Elohim should commit their lives to a trustworthy Creator, in doing good - 1 Peter 4:19.

Trust Yahuah with all your heart when you go through those trials because He will be with you all the way.

Suffer hardship with us as a good soldier of Yahusha Messiah - 2 Timothy 2:3.

As a priest of Messiah, we will suffer like He did. No one serving as a soldier (priest) gets involved in the affairs of this life, in order to please only him who enlisted him as a soldier - 2 Timothy 2:4.

Do not be of the world (entertainment) because you only please yourself. Please only the Creator!

Shaul (Paul) says in verse 7: Think over what I say, for the Master (Messiah) shall give you understanding into all this.

Yahuah will show you the truth for going through these trials, only trust Him because He knows why!

Hate the world

Where do fightings and strivings come from among you? Do they not come from your pleasures that battle in your members? All the troubles in relationships come from striving for the pleasures of the world. You desire, and do not have. You murder, and jealous, and are unable to obtain. You strive and fight, and you do not possess, because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask evilly (evil deeds), in order to spend it on your pleasures - James 4:1-3.

Other words, you ask for the wrong things because what you ask is the pleasures of the world and Yahuah does not give from the world.

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Elohim?
Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy (opposed or hostile) of Elohim - James 4:4.

What does it mean to be a friend of the world?

And why does a person who is a friend of the world became an enemy of Elohim?

Why does Father not want us to be a friend of the world?

To be a friend of the world you strive after worldly accomplishments like getting a degree, becoming a sport star, music or a movie star.

But that is not all! Striving after a bigger house, a fancy car, a work position with status, receiving praises from people, being better than other people, a person being self-seeking (always wants to be important).

This is of the world! It's proudness, puffed up, a boaster, been a friend of the world.

Being self-seeking, proud and receiving praises is an abomination (a disgust) to Yahuah.

All you receive in this world, the gifts are of Yahuah, not from anyone else not even yourself.

Father hates proudness and self-seeking.

Read the following verse again, again and again until you understand what Yahuah wants from you: do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him - 1 John 2:15.

Clear as mud!

He loves someone that is humble, down to earth, not seeking riches and not striving to be important.

Strive after Yahuah and His kingdom, strive to do His will, strive to learn the scripture and strive to give His word to other people so they can come to know Messiah and be saved.

Remember what Messiah said; Seek first the kingdom of Yahuah and then He may give what you ask!

The Kingdom comes first!

Pride

Pride is a spiritual cancer that devours families, destroys marriages, divides assemblies (church) and corrupts governments.

Pride: I'm great, I'm right, I'm very smart.

These six matters Yahuah hates: A proud look (1 of 6) - Proverbs 6:16-17.

The times of the end are here as said in 2 Timothy 3:1-2, For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boasters, proud, .........

What do we normally say to a child or a family member; I am so proud of you! The definition of pride of life: When you think too highly of your person-hood, possessions or performance - and therefore think too little of Yahuah.

Many may say; wait a minute, the pride I am talking about is the good pride. We say; I am proud of you for achieving at school, at university, on the sport field and at work. It is not bad pride, we only showing our appreciation and support for the one we love.

Is that true? Why do we not say, "I appreciate you of what you are doing or even better, "I thank Yahuah for you or simple, "Good job." We can also say I am very pleased with you. Just remove the word "pride" out of your thoughts.

Abba Father told His Son in Mark 1:11, "You are My Son, the Beloved, in whom I did delight."

Let’s do the same as Yahuah, instead of using that horrible word "pride."

We need three things to die daily to, 1) Lust of the flesh. 2) Lust of the eyes. 3) The pride of life - 1 John 2:16.

Yahusha Messiah said; "What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil reasonings, adulteries, whorings, murders, greedy desires & pride.... Mark 7:20-23.

Satan was kicked out of Heaven because of pride - Isaiah 14:11-14. Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden because of pride - Genesis 3:5.

Before destruction comes pride, and before a fall a haughty spirit! - Proverbs 16:18.

Scary, very scary!

Humility is the alternative to pride. He certainly scoffs the scoffers but gives favour (grace) to the humble - Proverbs 3:34.

Because of this He says, "Elohim resists the proud, but gives favour to the humble" - James 4:6.

How can we tell if someone is humble? This is very obvious! The true humble person always gives credit, honor and glory to whom credit, honor and glory are due!

And that is not to one self or to any other person.

Yahusha (Jesus) Messiah said in John 15:5, "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who stays in Me, and I in Him, he bears much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do nothing!

We cannot do anything on our own without Messiah! Only our Creator gives us the will, the opportunity and the power, we cannot inhale one breath, speak one word, take one step or even think one thought, much less achieve other accomplishments without acknowledging Yahuah's omnipotence (His great power) or arrogantly we deny it.

For it is Elohim who is working in you both to desire and to work for His good pleasure - Philippians 2:13.

Yahuah's Spirit is living in a believer for His own purpose, not your own.

Shaul (Paul) wrote in Colossians 3:17, And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the Name of the Master Yahusha, giving thanks to Elohim the Father through Him. And again, Shaul says in 1 Corinthians 10:31, Therefore, weather you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the esteem of Elohim.

That's both specific and comprehensive, isn't it? NOT TO THE GLORY OF ME!

From whom am I or you are seeking the approval.

Galatians 1:10 asks; For do I persuade men, or Elohim? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I should not be a servant of Messiah.

Are we getting the picture! If we are still not getting the picture, then read Proverbs 16:5 and hopefully this wakes us up!

Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to Yahuah.

Have we given Yahuah full credit, glory for our accomplishments in thought, prayer or in witness before others? You do not have to please others! Just do what Yahuah wants you to do, because at the end of the day, it is only He who can satisfy your heart.

Not the approval or applause from other people. I am not pointing fingers here because most of my life was about pride, pride in sport, school, my work, home and many more.

All glory was kept to myself and not praising Yahuah for what He allowed me to achieve.
Yahuah, I want more of You and less of me.

Finally, this is what will happen to each one of us, the choice is ours! "Everyone, therefore, who shall confess Me (Messiah) before men, him I shall also confess before My Father who is in the heavens. "But whoever shall deny Me before men, him I shall also deny before My Father who is in the heavens - Matthew 10:32-33.

If you love people praising you, then you have received your reward - Matthew 6:2.
