Do not hear!

"But why do you call Me, 'Master, Master,' and do not do what I say? "Everyone who is coming to Me, and is hearing My Words and is doing them, I shall show you whom he is like: "He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock. And when a flood came, the stream burst against the house, but was unable to shake it, for it was founded on the rock. "But the one hearing and not doing, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream burst, and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great" - Luke 6:46-49.

A builder is taught by a qualified instructor that for a house to be stable and to withstand storms it must be built on a deep and strong foundation.

This is what Messiah is comparing someone that does what he hears.

The builder did not only listen to what his instructor taught him; he did what he heard.

Messiah is saying; "do not only listen to what I tell you to do but do it!"

Yahusha (Jesus) says in Luke 8:21, "My mother and My brothers are those who are hearing the Word of Elohim and doing it."

What word was Messiah speaking about? It was not the New Testament because it was not written yet! It was the Word that was from the beginning! The commands (Torah) was from the beginning.
Messiah's family did the Word!

"He who believes in the Son (Messiah) possess everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim (Almighty) remains on him" - John 3:36.

Many are taught that you should say I believe in Jesus and then all will be good with you and you can carry on with your old way of living.

But Messiah says you must not only hear what He says, but you should do what you hear.

If He says do not do adultery, should you hear and ignore His word or should you not do adultery!

Messiah; "but why do you call Me 'Master, Master,' and do not do what I say?

Abraham's seed

Yahuah said to Abram to leave his father's family and go to a land that He will show him. Yahuah promised to bless Abram if he obeyed Him - Genesis 12:1-2.

Abram did leave - Genesis 12:5; And Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the beings whom they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Kenaan. And they came to the land of Kenaan.

Yahuah again confirmed His promise to Abram - Genesis 12:7.

Once again Yahuah confirms the promise to Abram in Genesis 13:14-17.

Yahuah again reminded Abram about His promise to him saying his seed will be as the stars in the heaven and Abram believed and obeyed Yahuah - Genesis 15:5-6.

Then Abram asked Yahuah, how do I know that Your promise will came true - Genesis 15:8.

Yahuah then instructed Abram to bring animals and they were cut in half and each half was placed opposite to each other - Genesis 15:9-10.

Father then made Abram go into a deep sleep and He confirmed once again that his seed will certainly be great - Genesis 15:12-13.

Then Yahuah made a blood covenant with Abram by passing through the offering that was cut in half.

This covenant was agreed and confirmed by Yahuah Himself! Abram did not have to do anything to seal the covenant! Yahuah made this covenant promise to Abram.

Note the covenant conditions was on Yahuah and not Abram!

Yahuah then visits Abram at different times, and reminds Abram of His covenant with him - Genesis 17:1-12.

When Abraham's son Isaac was born, Elohim said to Sarah that the covenant with Abraham will be established with Isaac's seed - Genesis 17:19.

And once again through Abraham's obedience to Yahuah, his seed through Isaac and Jacob is blessed - Genesis 22:16-18.

Yahuah speaks to Jacob and tells him that his seed will became great - Genesis 28:13-15.

Jacob then wrestles with a man and holds on so that the man does not overcome him - Genesis 32:23-27.

Jacob's name is then changed to Israel - Genesis 32:28; And He said, “Your name is no longer called Jacob, but Israel, because you have striven with Elohim and with men, and have overcome.”

Today that promise to Abraham via Israel is gone to the four corners of the earth.

All keep the Sabbath

Isaiah 56:2 Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who becomes strong in it (hangs on to it), guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it (polluting or render it ceremonially or ritually making it common), and guarding his hand from doing any evil.

Isaiah 56:3, "And let not the son of the foreigner (other nation - not native to Israel) who has joined himself to Yahuah speak, saying, Yahuah has certainly separated me from His people,'.....

Isaiah 56:6, "Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to Yahuah, to serve Him, and to love the Name of Yahuah, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and are holding onto My covenant - them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer.

Any foreigner (stranger) who loves Yahuah and keeps His commands, including the Sabbath, they are accepted and become part of the covenant that Yahuah made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Yahuah says in verse 5, to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters - I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off.

Anyone has the opportunity to be in Yahuah's covenant!

This is what Yahuah says to those who turned away from the Sabbath; "If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath 'a delight,' the set-apart day of Yahuah 'esteemed,' and shall respect it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you shall delight yourself in Yahuah. And I shall cause you to ride on the heights of the earth, and feed you with the inheritance of Jacob your father. For the mouth of Yahuah has spoken!" - Isaiah 58:13-14.

The Sabbath is a very important sign!

Not much I can add as the prophet said it well and hopefully, we will hear.

Profaning the Sabbath

Nehemiah 13:15, In those days I saw in Yahudah (Judah) those treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sheaves (bundle of grain), and loading donkeys with wine, grapes, and figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the Sabbath day.

So, I warned them on the day they sold food. Even other nations brought in fish and other goods, to sell to the people on Sabbath (verse 16).

The prophet Nehemiah was shocked at how the people were selling and buying on Sabbath.

Today, most believers do exactly the same, they are selling, buying and working on the Sabbath!
What would the prophet Nehemiah do if he was here today? Would he say nothing because everyone believes the Sabbath is nailed to the cross! He would be very confused if people told him Yahusha (Jesus) removed the Sabbath!

In verse 17, Nehemiah asks the priests why are they profaning the Sabbath!

What about the priests of today?

In verse 18, Nehemiah reminds them: "Did not your fathers (past generation) do the same so that our Elohim brought all this evil on us and on this city? Yet you bring added wrath on Israel by profaning the Sabbath."

How about today? Are we also doing what our forefathers did, by profaning the Sabbath! Is this not why our land is full of evil! Is it because the Sabbath is been profaned for so long now that Yahuah's patience has run out!

Nehemiah says to the people in verse 22, that they should cleanse themselves, and come to set apart the Sabbath day.

How about believers today; Are we going to cleanse ourselves and keep the Sabbath set apart (Holy) or do we first have to go through many evils and hardships before we HEAR!

Remember the Sabbath, it is Yahuah's sign!

What is the Sabbath about?

We rest in Elohim on the Sabbath! It means we spend time with Him, reading His word, praying, praising, fellow-shipping with like wise believers and giving thanks to Him. He asks us to do all our personnel things like work, entertainment and our pleasures in the six days but to give Him all our attention on the seventh day. It’s a day to refresh ourselves in Him so we are ready to tackle the next days ahead with a rested body and soul (heart).

Are you saved?

Can you lose salvation? What does scripture say about salvation!

First, what is salvation and how are you saved? Saved = salvation.

“To be saved” in a Spiritual sense means, to be saved from sin. The only way to be saved from sin is to have the indwelling of Yahusha (Jesus) who gives us the power to overcome sin through the Holy Spirit. That is the secret of overcoming sin, to endure to the end, for only those who endure to the end shall be saved in the day of judgment.

Ezekiel 3:20, "And when a righteous one (saved one) turns from his righteousness and shall do unrighteousness (sin), when I (Yahuah) have a stumbling-block (trial) before him, he shall die (not be saved).

Yahuah also says further on in verse 20 and 21 that a saved believer must warn a fellow believer of his/her wrong doing as we must look after each other, to prevent us from falling away.

This is why it's so important to fellowship and have friends who are true believers who are like minded in their walk.

Yahuah says further in Ezekiel 18:24, "But when a righteous one (saved one) turns away from his righteousness (obedience) and does unrighteousness (sin), according to all the abominations that the wrong one has done, shall he live (shall he be saved)? All his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered. For his trespass which he has committed, for them he shall die (loose salvation).

This scripture is a good example why good works alone cannot earn deliverance (salvation), as a good deed cannot equal a bad deed (sin).

To turn away from Yahuah once you have accepted and walking His ways is considered treason even if one has done many good deeds.

Loyalty is an extreme per-requisite to enter the Kingdom. "Not everyone who says to Me (Yahusha), 'Lord, Lord (Master, Master),' shall enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens - Matthew 7:21.

It is so important for a true believer to stay in Yahuah's word daily and pray for Yahusha to search his/her heart daily for uncleanness. So important!

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened (received deliverance), and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Set-apart Spirit (Holy Spirit), and have tasted the good Word of Elohim and the powers of the age to come, and fall away (turn away from Elohim), to renew them again to repentance - having crucified for themselves the Son of Elohim (Yahusha) again, and put Him to open shame - Hebrews 6:4-6.

You cannot repent over and over again because Yahusha was crucified only once, therefore if you keep on sinning after receiving salvation, you are mocking His crucifixion and bringing Yahusha to nothing.

If one has received the Holy Spirit and his/her mind knows the truth and that one willingly turns back on it and continue to sin, then that person would be so hardened by the sin that he/she would never repent and therefore go to the lake of fire.

Hebrews 10:26-31, For if we sin purposely (over and over) after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a slaughter offering for sins, but some fearsome anticipation of judgement, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the opponents.

Yahusha was our slaughter offering for our sins, ONCE and for ALL. We cannot offer Yahusha over and over for our sins, He has done it once for us.

Hebrews 10:29, How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserve who has trampled the Son of Elohim (Yahusha) underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was set apart as common, and insulted the Spirit of favour?

It is very clear in these verses that when a person has received deliverance (salvation) from the blood offering of Yahusha, that one cannot turn back purposely to his/her previous sinful life and then later on decide to come back to Yahusha.

This type of sinning is in contrast with sinning ignorantly - Hebrews 9:7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for sins of ignorance (mistake) of the people (see also Numbers 15:15-28).
