Noah, Daniel and Job protected

Ezekiel 14:13-23

13-14 “Son of man, when a land sins against Me to commit a trespass, and I shall stretch out My hand against it, and cut off its supply of bread and send scarcity of food on it, and cut off man and beast from it,even though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” declares the Master Yahuah.

Yah says, if Noah, Job or Daniel were in the land where His judgement is handed out, then only they will be able to save themselves because of their righteous living (Yahs righteousness).

15-16 “If I cause an evil beast to pass through the land, and it shall bereave it, and it shall be a wasteland, so that no man passes through because of the beasts, even though these three men were in it, as I live,” declares the Master Yahuah, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the land be a wasteland. (Ezekiel 18:20 “The being who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the crookedness of the father, nor the father bear the crookedness of the son).

Noah, Job and Daniel were 3 of the most righteous people who ever lived, yet if they were there, they would only save themselves because each person will die for their own sins (Ezekiel 18:20). Even a righteous person can only save his own life, not others. Only through Yahusha can we be righteous in the eyes of Yahuah.

17-18 “Or if I bring a sword on that land, and I shall say, ‘Sword, go through the land,’and I shall cut-off man and beast from it, even though these three men were in its midst, as I live,” declares the Master Yahuah, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, for they alone would be delivered.

Even by war or death, will Noah, Job or Daniel be able to save themselves and not others.

19-20 “Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and I shall pour out My wrath on it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast, even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” declares the Master Yahuah, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter. They would deliver their own lives by their righteousness.”

21 For thus said the Master Yahuah, “How much more it shall be when I send My four evil judgments on Jerusalem: the sword (war/death) and scarcity of food (famine/drought) and evil beasts (destruction of freedom and safety) and pestilence (plaque/diseases), to cut off man and beast from it?

The four types of judgement sent by Yah on the sinful people/nation.

1)      The sword = death example by war.

2)      Scarcity of food = example by famine/drought.

3)      Evil beasts = example by destruction of land, no freedom or no safety.

4)      Pestilence = example plaques, diseases.

Jeremiah 15:2 “And it shall be, when they say to you, ‘Where do we go?’ then you shall say to them, ‘Thus said Yahuah, “Those for death, to death. And those for the sword, to the sword. And those for scarcity of food, to scarcity of food. And those for captivity, to captivity.” ’

Revelation 6:8 And I looked and saw a pale horse. And he who sat on it had the name Death, and the grave followed with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

Looking at the state of the world today, are we in judgement right now by one of the types mentioned to Ezekiel or are we still in the warning stage before judgement is realized upon the earth.

22 “But see, there shall be left in it a remnant who are brought out, both sons and daughters. See, they are coming out to you, and you shall see their ways and their deeds, and shall be comforted concerning the evil which I have brought upon Jerusalem – all that I have brought upon it.

The good news given by Yah is within His judgement a remnant of people will be protected by Him. People who are like Noah, Daniel and Job.

Yahuah does not change; this same promise made to Noah, Daniel and Job is available for anyone today. Through Yahusha, you and I can be part of the remnant that will be protected from the judgment. It is not only by saying you believe but your belief must bear fruit – hear, do and obey. If you love Me, do my commands (My way – My righteousness). Yah’s way, not your way or man’s way.

23 “And they shall comfort you, when you see their ways and their deeds. And you shall know that it was not for naught that I have done whatever I did in it,” declares the Master Yahuah.

Something to think about very seriously. Are we living a similar life as to Noah, Daniel or Job?  If your answer is “Yes, I’m living the life as Noah, Daniel or Job,” then you will be protected in the time of judgement.

Each person will either be rewarded or punished for his own actions.

Idols in their heart

In Ezekiel 14:1-8 we have believers (priests) with their hearts full of idols came to Ezekiel the prophet to talk about Yahuah.

It is useless to approach Yah with prayers and inquiries for guidance, as long as our hearts are filled with secret sins and cherished idols. If we regard iniquity in our hearts Yah cannot hear us.

We cannot have idols in our heart (spiritual or earthly material) plus sin in our life and think Yahuah will answer our pray. We turned away from His ways, therefore we cannot expect to be heard if we are walking on the wrong path.

Yah says, “Repent, and turn back from your idols, and turn back your faces from all your abominations.

Anyone that does not repent of these idols and abominations shall feel the wrath of Yahuah.

Below are the verses from 1 to 8.

1 And some of the elders of Yisra’el came to me and sat before me.

2-3 And the word of Yahuah came to me, saying, “Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and have put the stumbling-block of their crookedness before their face. Should I let them inquire of Me at all?

4-5 “Therefore speak to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah, “Everyone of the house of Yisra’el who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts the stumbling-block of his crookedness before his face, and shall come to the prophet – I Yahuah shall answer him who comes, according to his many idols, in order to lay hold of the house of Yisra’el by their heart, for they have become estranged from Me by their idols, all of them.” ’

6 “Therefore say to the house of Yisra’el, ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah, “Repent, and turn back from your idols, and turn back your faces from all your abominations.

7 “For anyone of the house of Yisra’el, or of the strangers who sojourn in Yisra’el, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts the stumbling-block of his crookedness before his face, and shall come to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I Yahuah shall answer him Myself.

8 “And I shall set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I shall cut him off from the midst of My people. And you shall know that I am Yahuah.

Remove all idols out of your heart so Yah can place His ways in your heart.

Foolish prophets

And the word of Yahuah came to me, saying, “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Yisra’el  who prophesy, and say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, ‘Hear the word of Yahuah!’ ” (Ezekiel 13:1-2)

Many so-called prophets say “This said Yahuah or God,” but was or is this false prophesy. People in-between us will prophesy and we believe they are speaking from Yah, when they are not. Anyone speaking outside of scripture must be questioned.

Ezekiel 13:3 Thus said the Master Yahuah, “Woe to the foolish prophets, who are following their own spirit, without having had a vision!

How easy can someone say he/she had a vision and not know if it's a false vision. How do we know when someone is a false prophet? To start off we need to know what the scripture says and therefore test everything said.

Ezekiel 13:4-5 “O Yisra’el, your prophets have been like foxes among ruins. “You have not gone up into the breaches, nor do you build a wall for the house of Yisra’el to stand in battle on the day of Yahuah.

The prophets did not help the people to repentance but instead gave them flattering promises and false predictions.

Ezekiel 13:6 “Their visions are false and their divinations a lie, saying, ‘Thus declares Yahuah,’ when Yahuah has not sent them, yet they expected the word to be confirmed!

We have heard this many times, in a church, on a youtube video or a voice note on Whatsapp saying they have seen visions. Are these visions true or false? The scripture says we must test all things. We can ask Yah through His Ruach (Spirit) to confirm if what this person is saying is from Him. We can ask Yah too give us one more witness to confirm if true or false.

Ezekiel 13:7 “Have you not seen a false vision, and have you not spoken a divination of lies? You say, ‘Yahuah declares,’ when I have not spoken.”

Some were false prophets of false deities and some falsely spoke in the name of Yahuah. There is a similar situation today; many falsely prophesy in the name of the Babylonian deity called “god” and others falsely prophesy using the true name of the Creator Yahuah. Many say “Yah said so, when Yah did not say so.”

Ezekiel 13:8 Therefore thus said the Master Yahuah, “Because you have spoken falsehood and seen lies, therefore see, I am against you,” declares the Master Yahuah.

Maybe these false prophets get it right to deceive people but they cannot deceive Yahuah.

Ezekiel 13:9 “My hand shall be against the prophets who see falsehood and who divine lies. They shall not be in the council of My people, nor be written in the record of the house of Yisra’el, and they shall not enter into the land of Yisra’el. And you shall know that I am the Master Yahuah.

This verse tells us Yah will ensure these false prophets will not be among His people for long when they are removed by Yah.

Ezekiel 13:10 “Because, yea because they have led My people astray, saying, ‘Peace!’ when there is no peace. And when one is building a wall, see, they are coating it with whitewash!

One thing I have learnt over the past few years is to be careful of someone saying peace is coming soon.

Ezekiel 13:11-12 “Say to those who coat it with whitewash: it shall fall! There shall be flooding rain, and you, O great hailstones: fall! –and a stormy wind breaks it down, and see, the wall shall fall! Shall you not be asked, ‘Where is the coating with which you coated it?’ ”

In ancient times walls had to be plastered yearly with lime to stop rain and mold from eroding the house. Here, the false prophets are telling the people that there will be peace. Elohim uses the analogy of someone plastering with lime that will not stick but fall as Israel will go into captivity and will not be able to plaster their homes. Peace will not be.

Ezekiel 13:13-15 Therefore thus said the Master Yahuah, “I shall break down with a stormy wind in My wrath, and a flooding rain in My displeasure, and great hailstones in wrath, to consume.“ And I shall throw down the wall you have coated with whitewash, and bring it down to the ground, and its foundation shall be uncovered. And it shall fall, and you shall be consumed in the midst of it. And you shall know that I am Yahuah. “So I shall complete My wrath on the wall and on those coating it with whitewash, and say to you, ‘The wall is no more, nor those whitewashing it –

Punishment will come upon these false prophets who deceived Yah’s people.

Ezekiel 13:16 the prophets of Yisra’el who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, and who are seeing visions of peace for her when there is no peace,’ ” declares the Master Yahuah.

Jeremiah 6:14 “And they heal the breach of My people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace.

Be wise my friends, test all things! Ask Yahuah to confirm what is true and false.

Trust Yahuah.

Rebellious House

Ezekiel 12:1-2 And the word of Yahuah came to me, saying, son of man, you are dwelling in the midst of a rebellious house. They have eyes to see but they have not seen, they have ears to hear but they have not heard, for they are a rebellious house.

What does it mean when Yah said the people have eyes to see but they have not seen, they have ears to hear but they have not heard?

This sounds like people typically saying they are believers but there is no fruit of faith to been seen or heard. They are those who go to church all dressed up but leave the building not remembering what the pastor preached. They confess to be believers but their lifestyle is of the world full of entertainment. They have been exposed to the truth (eyes/ears) but they do not walk/live in the truth, they have eyes and ears but see and hear nothing. They see and hear what they want to see and hear, what they see and hear is not of the Rauch but a spirit of deception.

In my past I would attend church every sunday, sing songs and listen to the word been read but did not have an idea what the word said. My worldly ears and eyes were open to what was read which made me feel good but my spiritual eyes and ears were closed. After church I would go back to my normal ways, back into the entertainment of the world.

The lukewarm, the fence sitters, the ones who have one foot in the world and the other foot in Yah's ways. I was this way until I realized something was wrong and asked Yah to show me His truth.

Yah says they are a rebellious people whose eyes and ears are closed to the truth.

These are hard words but it’s a fact! I know because I was one of them.

My friend, is your eyes and ears open to the truth?

Don’t quench His Ruach (Spirit) as it leads to be a rebellious house.
