Ezekiel 14:13-23
13-14 “Son of man, when a land sins against Me to commit a trespass, and I shall stretch out My hand against it, and cut off its supply of bread and send scarcity of food on it, and cut off man and beast from it,even though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” declares the Master Yahuah.
Yah says, if Noah, Job or Daniel were in the land where His judgement is handed out, then only they will be able to save themselves because of their righteous living (Yahs righteousness).
15-16 “If I cause an evil beast to pass through the land, and it shall bereave it, and it shall be a wasteland, so that no man passes through because of the beasts, even though these three men were in it, as I live,” declares the Master Yahuah, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the land be a wasteland. (Ezekiel 18:20 “The being who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the crookedness of the father, nor the father bear the crookedness of the son).
Noah, Job and Daniel were 3 of the most righteous people who ever lived, yet if they were there, they would only save themselves because each person will die for their own sins (Ezekiel 18:20). Even a righteous person can only save his own life, not others. Only through Yahusha can we be righteous in the eyes of Yahuah.
17-18 “Or if I bring a sword on that land, and I shall say, ‘Sword, go through the land,’and I shall cut-off man and beast from it, even though these three men were in its midst, as I live,” declares the Master Yahuah, “they would deliver neither sons nor daughters, for they alone would be delivered.
Even by war or death, will Noah, Job or Daniel be able to save themselves and not others.
19-20 “Or if I send a pestilence into that land, and I shall pour out My wrath on it in blood, to cut off from it man and beast, even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” declares the Master Yahuah, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter. They would deliver their own lives by their righteousness.”
21 For thus said the Master Yahuah, “How much more it shall be when I send My four evil judgments on Jerusalem: the sword (war/death) and scarcity of food (famine/drought) and evil beasts (destruction of freedom and safety) and pestilence (plaque/diseases), to cut off man and beast from it?
The four types of judgement sent by Yah on the sinful people/nation.
1) The sword = death example by war.
2) Scarcity of food = example by famine/drought.
3) Evil beasts = example by destruction of land, no freedom or no safety.
4) Pestilence = example plaques, diseases.
Jeremiah 15:2 “And it shall be, when they say to you, ‘Where do we go?’ then you shall say to them, ‘Thus said Yahuah, “Those for death, to death. And those for the sword, to the sword. And those for scarcity of food, to scarcity of food. And those for captivity, to captivity.” ’
Revelation 6:8 And I looked and saw a pale horse. And he who sat on it had the name Death, and the grave followed with him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.
Looking at the state of the world today, are we in judgement right now by one of the types mentioned to Ezekiel or are we still in the warning stage before judgement is realized upon the earth.
22 “But see, there shall be left in it a remnant who are brought out, both sons and daughters. See, they are coming out to you, and you shall see their ways and their deeds, and shall be comforted concerning the evil which I have brought upon Jerusalem – all that I have brought upon it.
The good news given by Yah is within His judgement a remnant of people will be protected by Him. People who are like Noah, Daniel and Job.
Yahuah does not change; this same promise made to Noah, Daniel and Job is available for anyone today. Through Yahusha, you and I can be part of the remnant that will be protected from the judgment. It is not only by saying you believe but your belief must bear fruit – hear, do and obey. If you love Me, do my commands (My way – My righteousness). Yah’s way, not your way or man’s way.
23 “And they shall comfort you, when you see their ways and their deeds. And you shall know that it was not for naught that I have done whatever I did in it,” declares the Master Yahuah.
Something to think about very seriously. Are we living a similar life as to Noah, Daniel or Job? If your answer is “Yes, I’m living the life as Noah, Daniel or Job,” then you will be protected in the time of judgement.
Each person will either be rewarded or punished for his own actions.
