First sends warnings

In Amos chapter 1 and 2:1-3, the judgments on Syria (Damascus), Gaza (Philistia, Tyre (Philistia), Edom, Ammon and Moab are given from Yahuah through Amos the prophet.

In this message we look at the house of Jacob as Yah always sends warnings through His prophets, shepherds and watchmen before He brings judgment.

Amos 3:7 For the Master Yahuah does no matter unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.

Amos, rebukes Israel (all 12 tribes). What was said to Israel was said also to Judah: what was directed first to the former people, belongs to us, the later. What Yahusha Messiah said to the Apostles, He said also to us, and to single souls, “What I say unto you, I say unto all, Watch.”

Are you hearing (Amos 3:7)?

Before judgment comes Yahuah will always send a prophet first to warn the people to either repent or face the coming judgment.

You cannot complain of you not being fore warned of these calamities coming upon you, for Yah hath not done, nor will do anything, without revealing it to his prophets, and by them to you; so that you have now warning of all that he intends to do, unless you prevent it by an alteration in your behaviour.

Amos 2:4-5 Thus said Yahuah, “For three transgressions of Yahudah (Judah), and for four, I do not turn it back, because they have rejected the Torah of Yahuah, and did not guard His laws. And their lies after which their fathers walked lead them astray. “But I shall send fire upon Yahudah, and it shall consume the palaces of Jerusalem.”

Amos 2:6-8 Thus said Yahuah, “For three transgressions of Yisra’el, and for four, I do not turn it back, because they sell the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals, who crush the head of the poor ones in the dust of the earth, and turn a side the way of the meek. And a man and his father go in to the same girl, to defile My set apart Name. “And they lie down by every altar on garments taken in pledge, and in the house of their mighty one they drink the wine of those who have been fined.

Yahuah is showing the moral decrepit state that Israel had fallen into and the judgment that was coming.

Israel’s transgression against Yahuah, are enumerated under the following heads:

1)      Condemning of the righteous (Those that doing good).

2)      Condemning of the poor.

3)      Oppressing the poor.

4)      Showing or having no meekness.

5)      Abomination of whoring (Idols and adultery) – Read Leviticus 18:7-8 & 15, plus Leviticus 20:11-12.

6)      Defiling the Name of Yahuah.

7)      Taxing (fines) of the poor, taking their wine and garments (property).

In Amos 2:9-11 Yah’s mercies to Israel is shown in the past, and the great things he had done for them.

1. Bringing them out of Egypt.

2. Miraculously sustaining them in the wilderness forty years.

3. Driving out the Canaanites before them, and giving them possession of the promised land.

4. Raising up prophets among them to declare the Divine will.

5. And forming the holy institution of the Nazarites among them, to show the spiritual nature of his holiness.

But instead, they tempted the Nazarites to violate their vow and contemn Yah’s law, persuading them to drink wine; and commanded the prophets to hold their peace, and not speak against your actions, nor denounce any punishments against you for them (Amos 2:12).

Their sins have quite tired out Yah’s patience (Amos 2:13).

How is Yah's patience holding out on our sins?

Amos 3:1-2 Hear this word that Yahuah has spoken against you, O children of Yisra’el, against the entire clan which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying, “You alone have I known of all the clans of the earth, therefore I punish you for all your crookednesses (sin).”

Its valid for all 12 tribes of Israel.

Amos 3:8 A lion has roared! Who is not afraid? The Master Yahuah has spoken! Who would not prophesy?

Are we hearing His warnings?

Amos 3:13 “Hear and witness against the house of Jacob,” declares the Master Yahuah, the Elohim of hosts.

We that know the truth and His word must warn people to turn away from sin or face Yah's judgment.

Amos 3:14 “For in the day I visit Yisra’el for their transgressions, I shall also punish concerning the altars of Bethel. And the horns of the altar shall be broken, and they shall fall to the ground. “And I shall smite the winter house along with the summer house. And the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall be swept away,” declares Yahuah.

We know through scripture and history that judgment came to Israel as spoken by Amos and other prophets but take note judgment will come again on future generations if they follow the same route as Israel.

Do you see in the world today how sin is running rampage.

Is Yahuah's patience running out.

Blow the trumpet my friend, let us hear and turn away from our wickedness.

Speak the truth

Speak only the truth. Truth sets you free. Importantly the truth must come from Yahuah.

Many will not like hearing the truth, and reject the truth like it occurred with Ezekiel when he spoke to the people.

Yahuah tells Ezekiel to go to his people (Israel), not to other nations but to his people and speak His Words so they can repent and turn back to Him.

Ezekiel 2:3-4 And He said to me, “Son of man, I am sending you to the children of Yisra’el, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against Me. They and their fathers have transgressed against Me, until this day. “And the children are stiff of face and hard of heart to whom I am sending you, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah.’

Ezekiel 2:6-7 “And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words or discouraged by their looks, for they are a rebellious house. “And you shall speak My words to them, whether they hear or whether they refuse, for they are rebellious.

Yahuah warns Ezekiel not to be afraid of speaking the truth even though he will be in the midst of people not liking what is been said. They will reject, ignore and give him dirty looks but this must not stop him from speaking the word of truth. Yahuah says speak My words, weather they will hear and do them or weather they refuse to hear the words, you speak them anyway.

These words are meant for us as well. Are we going to hear them or are we going reject them? It is a choice we must make.

Ezekiel 2:8-10 “And you, son of man, hear what Iam speaking to you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house, open your mouth and eat what I am giving you.” And I looked and saw a hand stretched out to me. And see, a scroll of a book was in it, and He spread it before me, and it was written on the inside and on the outside. And written on it were lamentations and mourning and woe.

Yahuah gave Ezekiel all the knowledge of His words to speak to the people. Ezekiel was a true believer by studying, accepting and living in the word of truth. He was a priest, a prophet and a watchman.

We also can have this knowledge of the truth. It is our own choice if we want to walk in His truth.

Ezekiel 3:2-3 And I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll.

Ezekiel wanted the words of truth which filled him up like sweet honey. He heard and he did the words by walking in them.

How do we receive these same words that will fill us up like sweet honey? By Yahuah’s Ruach will we receive the truth.

Ezekiel 3:4-8 And He said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Yisra’el, and you shall speak to them with My words. “For you are not sent to a people of foreign speech and of difficult language, but to the house of Yisra’el, not to many people of foreign speech and of difficult language, whose words you do not understand. If I had rather sent you to them, they would have listened to you. “But the house of Yisra’el is going to refuse to listen to you, for they refuse to listen to Me. For all the house of Yisra’el are hard of head, and hard of heart. “See, I shall make your face as hard as their faces and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.

As watchmen, we must speak the words of Yah that is given to us through scripture. By His Ruach can we speak the words of truth. Be firm when speaking the word of Yah as Ezekiel was instructed to be firm and not to be afraid or to be intimidated.

The bones and the sticks

Yahuah speaks to Ezekiel about two prophesy that will occur in future; a) the dry bones and b) the two sticks. Have these prophesies been fulfilled, well it seems that one prophesy may have started but not the other one. Let us look at these prophesies and we can see where we are in fulfillment.

a)     Prophesy of the dry bones, seen by Ezekiel in a vision.

Ezekiel 37:1-5 The hand of Yahuah was upon me and took me out by the Spirit of Yahuah, and set me down in the midst of the valley. And it was filled with bones. And He made me pass among them, all around, and see, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and see, they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, would these bones live?” And I said, “O Master Yahuah, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and you shall say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of Yahuah! ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah to these bones, “See, I am bringing into you a spirit, and you shall live.

These are dead people. Who are these dead people and how will they live again?

I believe these were believers who were killed for their believe in Yahuah, example prophets. These are not only past believers but believers in our generation and future generations that are killed because of their faith in Yahuah and Yahusha.

In the near future, Yahuah will bring them back with a new body and spirit to live again. This prophesy we all can agree has not started.

Here is the remainder of the verses speaking about the valley of the dry bones.

Ezekiel 37:6-10 “And I shall put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, and cover you with skin and put a spirit in you, and you shall live. And you shall know that I am Yahuah.” ’ ”And I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and there was a rattling. And the bones came together, bone to bone. And I looked and saw sinews and flesh came upon them, and skin covered them, but there was no spirit in them. He then said to me, “Prophesy to the spirit, prophesy, son of man, and you shall say to the spirit, ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah, “Come from the four winds, O spirit, and breathe on these slain, so that they live.” ’ ”And I prophesied as He commanded me, and the spirit came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, a very great army.

This prophecy is so detailed and particular shows it must be literal and is about a physical resurrection of Yasharel (Israel) at Messiah's return.

Ezekiel 37:11-14 Then He said to me, Son of man, these bones are all the house of Israel. Behold, they say, our bones are dried, and our hope is perished; we are cut off to ourselves. So prophesy and say to them, so says Yahuah: Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, O My people, and I will bring you to the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am Yahuah when I have opened your graves and have brought you up out of your graves, O My people. And I shall put My Spirit within you, and you shall live; and I will put you on your own land. And you shall know that I, Yahuah, have spoken and have done it, says Yahuah.

They had no hope in entering back to the covenant, due to the death penalty of judgment for their sins, but when Messiah returns, He will resurrect the believing Israel and give them salvation through His sacrifice.

b)      The prophesy of the two sticks joining into one stick (still Ezekiel seen in a vision).

Ezekiel 37:16-17 “And you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it, ‘For Yahudah (Judah) and for the children of Yasharel (Israel), his companions. ’Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Yoceph (Joseph), the stick of Ephrayim (Ephraim), and for all the house of Yasharel, his companions.’ “Then bring them together for yourself into one (yachad) stick, and they shall become one (yachad) in your hand.

The two houses of Yasharel to join together again – Judah and Israel = to be the children of Israel (Jacob). Not since the days of King Solomon was the whole house of Israel with all 12 tribes united. One major role of King Messiah in the end time is to re-unite the House of Judah with the Northern Tribes of Israel called the House of Ephraim, who was Joseph's son.

Show us Yahuah what you mean by these?’ (Ezekiel 37:18)

Ezekiel 37:19-20 say to them, ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah, “See, I am taking the stick of Yoceph, which is in the hand of Ephrayim, and the tribes of Yasharel, his companions. And I shall give them unto him, with the stick of Yahudah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand.” ’“And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes.

The next part of the vision could be separate from the two-stick prophesy or it could be part of the joining together and bringing them back out of the nations where they were scattered.

Ezekiel 37:21-25 “And speak to them, ‘Thus said the Master Yahuah, “See, I am taking the children of Yasharel from among the gentiles, wherever they have gone, and shall gather them from all around, and I shall bring them into their land. “And I shall make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Yasharel. And one sovereign shall be sovereign over them all, and let them no longer be two nations, and let them no longer be divided into two reigns. “And they shall no longer defile themselves with their idols, nor with their disgusting matters, nor with any of their transgressions. And I shall save them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and I shall cleanse them. And they shall be My people, and I be their Elohim, while David My servant is sovereign over them. And they shall all have one shepherd and walk in My right-rulings and guard My laws, and shall do them. “And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Yaaqov (Jacob) My servant, where your fathers dwelt. And they shall dwell in it, they and their children and their children’s children, forever, and My servant David be their prince forever.

Will this be King David or King Yahusha? 1 Corinthians15:21-28 For since death is through a man, resurrection of the dead is also through a Man. For as all die in Adam, so also all shall be made alive in Messiah. And each in his own order: Messiah the first-fruits, then those who are of Messiah at His coming, then the end, when He delivers up the reign to Elohim the Father, when He has brought to naught all rule and all authority and power. For He has to reign until He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be brought to naught is death. For “He has put all under His feet.” But when He says “all are put under Him,” it is clear that He who put all under Him is excepted. And when all are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself shall also be subject to Him who put all under Him, in order that Elohim be all in all.

Ezekiel 37:26-28 And I will cut a covenant of peace with them, an everlasting covenant it shall be with them, And I will place them and multiply them, and I will put (Aleph/Tav) My sanctuary in their midst forever. And My tabernacle shall be with them, and I will be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. And when My sanctuary shall be in their midst forever, the nations shall know that I, Yahuah, sanctify Yasharel.

His sanctuary shall be in our midst and He shall tabernacle with us forevermore, HalleluYah.
