The world passes away

Believers are instructed not to love the world.

1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Because all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but the one doing the desire of Elohim remains forever.

James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with Elohim? Whoever therefore intends to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of Elohim.

Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you prove what is that good and well-pleasing and perfect desire of Elohim.

The world with all it’s entertainment, lust, greed and pride will pass away some day but the Creator of the universe will stand forever.

We need to come out of this worldly system as Yahuah says we cannot partake in it if we say we love Him.

Many will say it is impossible to be out of the world.

Yes, it is in some parts not possible to be separated from the world system example earning money to live.

But this is not what is meant to be out of this world. John is not saying that we are in no sense to love “anything” that is in the material world; that we are to feel no interest in flowers, and streams, and forests, and fountains; that we are to have no admiration for what Yah has done as the Creator of all things; that we are to cherish no love for any of the inhabitants of the world, our friends and kindred; or that we are to pursue none of the objects of this life in making provision for our families; but that we are not to love the things which are sought merely to pamper the appetite, to please the eye, or to promote pride in living, example to be rich in money, to have many houses, to be greedy and selfless.

We carry out our work and earn money to feed our family but we do not strive to be enriched with the money so we can buy whatever we see or want which may lead to lust and greed.

Physically we are in the world but we are not partakers of the world and its entertainment. The most important part is to be spiritually out of the world which will assist us to be physically out of it through the Ruach.
