Walk in our own plans

Do we speak to Yahuah about our plans and will He bless us with the plans we come to Him?  Jeremiah 4 in various  verses Yahuah says the people walk according to their own plans with stubbornness.

Jeremiah 18:12 But they shall say, “It is no use! For we walk according to our own plans, and we do each one the stubbornness of his evil heart.”

Jeremiah 7:24 “But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in the counsels, in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward.

Jeremiah 16:12 ‘And you have done more evil than your fathers, for look, each one walks according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.

Jeremiah 17:9-10 “The heart is crooked above all, and desperately sick – who shall know it? “I, Yahuah, search the heart, I try the kidneys, and give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.

Jeremiah 23:17 “They keep on saying to those who despise Me, ‘Yahuah has said you shall have peace.’ And to all who walk according to the stubbornness of their own heart they say, ‘No evil comes upon you.’ ”

Jeremiah 7:25-26 “From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them. “But they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did evil, more than their fathers.

1 Samuel 15:23 “For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and stubbornness is as wickedness and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of Yahuah, He also does reject you as sovereign.”

Ecclesiastes 9:3 This is an evil in all that is done under the sun: there is one event to all. Truly the hearts of the sons of men are filled with evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live, and then – to the dead!

Revelation 2:23 “And I shall slay her children with death. And all the assemblies shall know that I am the One searching the kidneys and hearts. And I shall give to each one of you according to your works.

Man joining to his wife

I recently was honoured to witness my daughter getting married to a wonderful man. When it was known that they were going to get married, I took every opportunity during our visiting time to share my thoughts on marriage life and adult life in general.

My parents never spoke to me about marriage and adult life which I believe would have made an impact on me and my siblings if they took the time to speak to us. I saw romance and marriage through movies, through friends which I realize today are not realistic but just fairy-tale stories.

I had the opportunity to speak at their wedding reception and my message to both of them was from a biblical perspective with a trust that it would be a blessing. Below was my speech.

Marriage between a man and a woman is a beautiful union installed from the beginning of our existence. Without marriage there will be no family and no nation. The God of the Bible, created a man and woman to become a family and a nation of families.

The scripture (bible) talks about a man leaving his parents’ house and joining to his wife as they become one. There is a much deeper meaning to when a man and woman join together and became one but in short it is the sexual union between a husband and wife.

Sadly, there is a wicked force that will take no time to attack this marriage with attacks been continues throughout their life. Married couples should be prepared at all times and as a team of one fight these forces of attacks.

A marriage should be a closed quarter with nobody allowed to enter unless a partner or both allow it to be opened. Partners need to listen to each other’s concerns, one or both will notice something is going astray and then act on it immediately.

Being locked together as one union will have a stronger chance of overcoming these bad forces of attacks.

A husband and wife can be even stronger together if they have this force with them been in union as one.

This force is so strong that when both husband and wife have this equally their marriage will be rock solid making attacks on the marriage difficult.

That force is known as Love.

There are two types of love. Let me briefly explain the two types of love I have noticed over my life span and how I came to understand love at the age I’m now.

The first love is the worldly love. I call this the bubble gum love; starting off with a gum full of flavour, chewing the gum until the flavour is gone and the jaw is sore of chewing, the gum is spit out and replaced with a new one. This type of love is mostly found in movies, love story books etc. This love is generally expressed through worldly gifts etc.

The second love is to me “true love”. This type of love cannot be bought, as it comes from deep within a person. Many will say it’s from your heart but it’s much deeper than that and I can only express it as coming from your inner soul.

This is how I came to understand this true love but for others it may be in a different manner. Yahuah asks us to love Him with all of our heart, soul and mind. How is it possible to love someone that you cannot see and then on top of this He says ‘If you love Me, do My will.’

Took me a long time to understand this love but eventually after committing my life to His will was I able to grasp this love He asked from me. This revelation changed my life and my love for my children was expressed differently than before.

It’s a love that does not fade over time, in fact the longer you two are together the stronger the love becomes.

This is the love our Heavenly Father speaks about when a man joins to his wife and they become one. This love hurts when there is a separation. It is like a part of you is torn from you and you don’t complete recover.

This is the love we need to have for Yahuah and then we can enjoy this love for our wife or husband and children; its true love…..

Bear no burden on the Sabbath

The Sabbath day was kept negligently.

Jeremiah 17:21-22 So says Yahuah, take heed for the sake of your lives, and do not carry a burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. And do not carry a burden from your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

Some were carrying a load coming through the gates to trade and work, which would be violating the Sabbath command. Most worked 6 days in the field, with some using the Sabbath day to gather in their fruit from the countryside.

Jeremiah 17:23 “But they did not obey, or incline their ear, and they made their neck stiff not to hear and not to receive instruction.

Sabbath breaking was one of the main violations why Yahuah allowed Israel to go into captivity. Read also Ezekiel 20:13, 20:16, 20:21, 20:24.

If they kept the Sabbath set-apart (holy) they would have the following blessing.

Jeremiah 17:24-25 “And it shall be, if you diligently obey Me,” declares Yahuah, “to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, and set apart the Sabbath day, to do no work in it, then sovereigns and heads sitting on the throne of David shall enter in through the gates of this city, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their heads – the men of Yehudah (Judah) and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And this city shall be inhabited forever.

But if they do not keep the Sabbath set-apart then they will receive the following curse.

Jeremiah 17:27 But if you will not listen to Me to keep the Sabbath day holy, and to not carry a burden and enter at the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in her gates. And it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem; yea, it shall not be put out.

1 Kings 9:6-7 “If you at all turn back, you or your sons, from following Me, and do not guard My commands, My laws, which I have set before you, but shall go and serve other mighty ones and bow yourselves to them, then I shall cut off Yisra’el from the face of the soil which I have given them, and send away from My presence this house which I have set apart for My Name. And Yisra’el shall be a proverb and a mockery among all the peoples.

Are we hearing the words of Yahuah?

Written with a pen of iron

Has any preacher/rabbi spoke of Judah's sins as described in the book of Jeremiah. Yahuah says His anger will burn forever because of their sin.

Read these next verses on how Judah lost their inheritance, not through Yahuah but through themselves.

Jeremiah 17:1-4 “The sin of Yehudah (Judah) is written with a pen of iron, engraved with the point of a diamond on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of your altars, while their children remember their altars and their Asherahs* by the spreading trees on the high hills. “My mountain in the field, I give as plunder your wealth, all your treasures, your high places of sin, throughout all your borders. “And you, even of yourself, shall let go of your inheritance which I gave you. And I shall make you serve your enemies in a land which you have not known, for you have kindled a fire in My displeasure which burns forever.”

Both a diamond and iron showing the permanency of their actions. Being on the horns of their altar shows that the sin remains; it is not atoned for.

In the above verses it states that Judah would give up their heritance to go and worship false idols of other nations.

* KJV says groves. Strongs H842 Astarte (Phoenician/Babylonian/Canaanite goddess). Many claim the word easter comes from Astarte and the green trees are the same thing people have in their homes over December each year.

My question is, has this changed today. Is this idol worshipping still continuing in our time, and I believe it is. I can understand why the sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron, engraved with the point of a diamond on the tablet of their heart and why Yahuah’s anger is burning forever.

Come out of her My people, says Yahuah.

Are we listening?
