The 3rd child of Hosea 1:9 was called LoAmee which means not my people, for you are not My people, and I will not be for you.
In Hosea 1:10 Yahuah says Israel is not My people and then says you are the sons of the living El.
Israel is called “not-my-people” first and then is later called “sons of the living Yah.” Yah called Israel not His people when they were following idols (idolatrous Israel) and scattered them out of the land. Then in diaspora as the scattered strangers, a remnant of people will turn away from worshipping a dead god (idols) and follow the living God.
Isaiah and Paul talk about the remnant people that will return to the living Yahuah.
In Isaiah 10:22 For though your people, O Yisra’el, be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return – a decisive end, overflowing with righteousness.
Romans 9:25-29 As He says in Hosea too, “I shall call them My people, who were not My people, and her beloved, who was not beloved.” “And it shall be in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people, ’there they shall be called sons of the living Elohim.” And Isaiah cries out on behalf of Yisra’el, “Though the number of the children of Yisra’el be as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved. For He is bringing a matter to an end, and is cutting it short in righteousness, because Yahuah shall cut short a matter on the earth.” And as Isaiah said before, “If Yahuah of hosts had not left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah.”
Romans 9:6 However, it is not as though the word of Elohim has failed. For they are not all Yisra’el who are of Yisra’el.
There is a true Yisra’el, and a false Yisra’el. The false Yisra’el follow idol worship (a dead god). A remnant (true Yisra’el) follows the living Yahuah (God).
Hosea 1:11 And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel shall be gathered together, and shall set over themselves one head. And they shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
Jezreel (1st child of Hosea) has two meanings; sow and plant (Elohim will sow or plant). In Hosea 1:4, Yahuah said this name will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease. In Hosea 1:6 the 2nd child, Lo Ruchama, meaning no mercy. I (Yah) will not again have mercy on the house of Israel; but I will completely take them away.
To me verse 11 states Israel will be scattered (sow) and then later be returned (plant).
Isaiah 11:11-12 And it shall be in that day that Yahuah sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Assyria and from Egypt, from Pathros and from Ethiopia, from Elam and from Shinar, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. And He shall raise a banner for the nations, and gather the outcasts of Yisra’el, and assemble the dispersed of Yehudah from the four corners of the earth.
Jeremiah 50:4-5 “In those days and at that time,” declares Yahuah, “the children of Yisra’el shall come, they and the children of Yehudah together, weeping as they come, and seek Yahuah their Elohim. “They shall ask the way to Tsiyon, their faces toward it, ‘Come and let us join ourselves to Yahuah, in an everlasting covenant, never to be forgotten.’
Isaiah and Jeremiah speak of “In that day,” referring to the future when the true Israel will be gathered again. Is the Messiah not the one gathering both houses of Yahudah and Yisra’el, of which a remnant will return? This will be the end time restoration of Israel and the fulfilling of the New Covenant.
A remnant will be called His people.
