Forbidden Relationships

Yahuah (Heavenly Father) has instructed Israel in Leviticus 18 not to have sexual relationships or "uncover nakedness" with certain members of their family, like brothers and sisters, the sin of incest....Etc.

These laws are still applicable for us today. I read a newspaper clip the other day, in it was reported that a father was sentenced to life in prisonment for raping his 8 year old daughter over many years. Nothing is new under this sun!

What was happening in Moses's time still happens today!

We so often hear that we cannot compare the old times of Israel to modern times of today? This is not true, the law made in those times is still absolutely applicable today.

Here are the laws in Lev. 18;

Verse 7, no sex with your father or your mother.

Verse 8, no sex with your father's wife (stepmother).

Verse 9, no sex with your sister or stepsister.

Verse 10, no sex of your son's daughter, or your daughter's daughter - granddaughter.

Verse 11, no sex with your father's wife's daughter - half-sister on father's side.

Verse 12, no sex with paternal aunt (fathers sister).

Verse 13, no sex with maternal aunt (mothers sister).

Verse 14, no sex with paternal uncle's wife (fathers brother’s wife).

Verse 15, no sex with your daughter-in-law ( or son-in-law).

Verse 16, no sex with your brother's wife (or sister’s husband).

Verse 17, no sex with step-daughter or step-granddaughter (or step-son or step-grandson).

Verse 18, no sex with a wife's sister (or husband’s brother).

Verse 20, no sex with your neighbour's wife (or neighbour’s husband).

Verse 22, do not lie (sodomy) with a male as with a woman (male with male / female with female), it is an abomination (worst of sins).

Verse 23, do not have sex with any animals (man or woman).

Verse 24, Father says we should not defile ourselves with all these above, because all other nations do this but we are separate from them.

Verse 25, Father punished these nations and vomited them out.

In verse 29, Father says, whoever does any of these abominations, those beings shall be cut off.

Verse 30, He says, I am Yahuah your Elohim (Almighty God). Meaning: Listen to Me!

Heavenly Father does not change, He is still the same yesterday today and tomorrow, and you still cannot have an affair with someone else's wife or husband!

 Thank you Yah!

The book of James - Chapter 5

Verse 1-3, come now, rich ones, weep, crying aloud over the hardships coming upon you! Your riches have rotted, and your garments have become moth-eaten. Your gold and silver have become rusty, and their rust shall be a witness against you and shall eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days.

Where are you storing your treasure, in Yahuah’s kingdom or here on earth? Hardship is coming to those who rely on the world and its riches because it will mean nothing in the end! Make sure your treasure is with Yahuah!

Verse 4-6, see, the wages of the workmen who mowed your fields, which you kept back, cry out. And the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of Yahuah of hosts. You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury, you have fattened your hearts, as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the righteous – he does not resist you.

Jeremiah 22:13, “Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness and his rooms without right-ruling, who uses his neighbour’s service without wages and does not give him his wages, ..... If you owe someone money for service done for you, you need to pay for it! If you have lived a selfless life of pleasure and luxury without giving to those in need, then be assured you have received your reward.

Verse 7-8, so, brothers, be patient until the coming of the Master. See, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You too, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Master has drawn near.

To be patient is one of the hardest things to do! We all struggle with been patient as the world is always in a rush and therefore we do not have time to be patient. The world cannot be patient and therefore the business motto is: time is money! But think about it: If Yahusha Messiah did not have patience with us; He then would have punished us long before we could ever think of turning away from sin.

Verse 9, do not grumble against each other, brothers, lest you be judged. See, the Judge is standing at the door!

Do not struggle or fight with each other, be patient with each other and rather look on that person’s good side and not on what that person does wrong.

Verse 10, my brothers, as an example of suffering and patience, take the prophets, who spoke in the Name of Yahuah.

How much suffering and patience must the prophets have gone through when they asked Israel to turn back to Yahuah. Just imagine the struggles the prophets went through and know we are called to do the same.

Verse 11, see, we call those blessed who endure. You have heard of the endurance of Job and saw the purpose of Yahuah, that He is very sympathetic and compassionate.

Can you handle and endure what Job had to go through! With patience and trust, Job made it through his trial. Job was blessed many times more than before his trial started. We can only learn from Job’s experience and endure till the end with patience.

Verse 12, but above all, my brothers, do not swear, either by the heaven or by the earth or with any other oath. But let your Yea be Yea, and your No, No, lest you fall into judgment.

Walk the walk, do not talk the walk. If you say “Yes” then you need to mean Yes!

Verse 13-15, is any of you suffering evil? Let him pray. Is anyone in good spirits? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the Name of the Master. And the prayer of the belief shall save the sick, and the Master shall raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he shall be forgiven.

Pray when you are in need and pray when you are happy! Pray for your family, pray for your friends, pray to Yahuah through His son Yahusha (Jesus). Ask other believers to pray for you or your family! Prayer is the connection to Yahuah!

Verse 16, confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, so that you are healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much.

When you have done someone harm, ask forgiveness! Forgiveness brings healing. Be serious when you pray, do not take it lightly!

Verse 17-18, Eliyahu (Elijah) was a man with feelings like us, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain. And it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the land brought forth its fruit.

What a good example of the power of prayer: Eliyah believed through his prayer to Yahuah! It is our lack of faith during prayer that prevents us to be heard by Yahuah!

Verse 19-20, brothers, if anyone among you goes astray from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the straying of his way shall save a life from death and cover a great number of sins.

As believers we need to spread the gospel and we need to guide people back to His word. Yahusha wants everyone to be saved. If someone is doing wrong according to the scripture, then you need to tell him/her of the wrong and guide them back with His word!

 Praise Yah always

Imitators of Elohim (Almighty)

When we call ourselves children of Elohim (God), we then need to imitate Him.
In Ephesians 5:1-2, says we must become imitators of Elohim as beloved children. And walk in love, as Messiah also has loved us, and gave Himself for us, a gift and an offering to Elohim for a sweet smelling fragrance.

I do not think we realize how much our Heavenly Father, the Creator of the heavens and the earth loves us.
Do we realize that if Messiah did not love us and did not give Himself up for us, we would be lost? That was a gift and an offering
But now we have a chance to have everlasting life with Him, the number 1 person in this universe.
This means we have a free will in making a choice to follow Him truly with love and to imitate Him.
To imitate Him will not be difficult because Messiah (Jesus) promised us the Set apart Spirit (Holy Spirit) who would help us to follow Heavenly Father in love.
Fellow believers, lets pray for each other for guidance and for Fathers gift.
To Abba: Yah, I live by Your Word! I do as You say! I think what You want me to think!  I am led by Your Spirit as I walk through my day! My one goal is to dwell in Your Presence – now and forever! The cry of my heart is to know You! I put my ear to your heart so that I do not miss a word that flows from Your mouth!

 Praise YAH

Daniel's love for Father

Daniel chapter 9 expresses the love Daniel had for Heavenly Father, his commitment to know scripture, his commitment to learn truth, his love for Father's Torah, his love for Israel, his determination to ask Father to forgive him and Israel and to take Israel back.
Daniel prayed 3 times a day, and fasted, just to seek Elohim to forgive Israel.
Daniel 9:2-19, is the humble determination of him asking Father Yahuah through prayer the forgiveness of Israel's sins and rebellion.
Daniel confesses to Father that Israel has rebelled against His Torah (Instructions), His commands and is not following Father as His set apart people.
Daniel lived in a time when the nations were wicked (Babylon), just as we are! The whole system we are living in is wicked! Even in this situation, Daniel was still committed to following Father's instructions and he was rewarded for his loyalty!
Father gave him visions of the future. Verse 17, "And now, our Elohim, hear the prayer of Your servant....... Again in verse 18, "O my Elohim, incline Your ear and hear.
Listen to Daniel’s determination in verse 19, "O Yahuah, hear! O Yahuah, forgive! O Yahuah, listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my Elohim, for Your city and Your people are called by Your Name."
Due to Daniel's faithfulness, he is rewarded, in verse 21 to 27, while he was praying, the angel Gabriel came to him and showed Daniel through visions the future of the coming of Messiah, the Messiah's death, the destruction of the Temple and what would take place at the end of this age.

Daniel is said to be; verse 23, "the greatly appreciated one" (beloved one).
Daniel loved Israel and he loved Heavenly Father so much and wanted Israel's sins to be forgiven so Father could take them back!
Would you not like to be called the "beloved one", I would!
Let’s be like Daniel and give up this world and entertainment system and pray as Daniel prayed.
Pray that Heavenly Father forgives our sins and Israel's sins so that we may be restored to Him as His set apart people.
Please pray as the time is short, pray as if you don't have another chance!

 O Yah, I pray!
