2 John
9-11 everyone who is transgressing and not staying in the teaching of
Messiah does not possess Elohim. The one who stays in the teaching of Messiah
possesses both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not
bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house nor greet (bless) him, for he who greets (blesses) him shares in his wicked works.
It was customary in those times for believers to bless each
other when they greeted one another. John is commanding that if someone brings
a doctrine that is in the place of the doctrine of Messiah that such a one
should not be greeted with a blessing and also not allowed into the home for
fellowship either.
1
Timothy 6:3 if anyone teaches differently and does not agree to the
sound words, those of our Master Yahusha Messiah…
Any teaching which does not agree with the words, the
teachings, of Yahusha (Jesus), is false!
1 John 1:3 we announce to
you what we have seen and heard, so that you too might have fellowship with us.
And truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Yahusha Messiah.
1 John 2:22 who is the
liar, except the one denying that Yahusha is the Messiah? This is the
anti-messiah, the one denying the Father and the Son.
1 John
5:20 and we know that the Son of Elohim has come and has given us an
understanding, so that we might know the true One. And we are in the true One,
in His Son Yahusha Messiah. This is the true Elohim and everlasting life.
Who are the ones to be blessed?
Genesis
12:2-3 “And I shall make you a great nation, and bless you and make your
name great, and you shall be a blessing! “And I shall bless those who bless
you, and curse him who curses you. And in you all the clans (families) of the earth shall be blessed.”
Yahuah is speaking to Abraham! From this point all those
born from Abraham will be blessed in the whole earth. Yahauh gave this promise
to Abraham before Ismael and Isaac was born and the promise was for all in
Abraham. Anybody that blesses the people that come from Abraham will be blessed
by Yahuah and anybody that curses the people that come from Abraham will be
cursed by Yahauh.
Genesis
17:16 “And I shall bless her and also give you a son by her. And I shall
bless her, and she shall become nations – sovereigns of peoples are to be from
her.”
Yahuah is blessing Sarah and saying that many nations will
come from her through her son Isaac.
Genesis
17:19-21 and Elohim said, “No, Sarah your wife is truly bearing a son to
you, and you shall call his name Isaac. And I shall establish My covenant
with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. “And as
for Ismael, I have heard you. See, I shall bless him, and shall make him bear
fruit, and greatly increase him. He is to bring forth twelve princes, and I shall
make him a great nation. “But My covenant I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah is
to bear to you at this set time next year.”
The everlasting covenant is through Isaac but the blessing
in Genesis 12:2-3 is all families from Abraham not just Isaac. Ismael was sent
away but he was still to be blessed.
Genesis
22:16-18 and said, “By Myself I have sworn, declares , because you have
done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son, that I shall
certainly bless you, and I shall certainly increase your seed as the stars of
the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore, and let your seed possess
the gate of their enemies. “And in your seed all the nations of the earth
shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”
At this point only Isaac was living with Abraham and
therefore considered his only son. Because Abraham obeyed, Yahauh gave Abraham
another promise, that not only the covenant will be with Isaac and his
descendants but all nations of the earth through his seed will be blessed.
Isaac to Jacob - Genesis 27:29 let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to
you. Be master over your brothers, and let your mother’s sons bow down to
you. Cursed be those cursing you, and blessed be those blessing you!”
Jacobs other brother was Esau! Did Jacob have more brothers?
Anyway, Jacob’s brothers, including Esau is to serve and bow down to Jacob and
his seed. In Genesis 12:2-3, Heavenly Father says to Abraham “Cursed be those
cursing you, and blessed be those blessing you!” And here in Genesis 27:29
Isaac says to Jacob “Cursed be those cursing you, and blessed be those blessing
you!”
Again the question is who are the ones that shall be
blessed?
Isaac to
Jacob - Genesis 28:3-4
“And El Shaddai bless you, and make you bear fruit and increase you, and you
shall become an assembly of peoples, and give you the blessing of Abraham,
to you and your seed with you, so that you inherit the land of your
sojournings, which Elohim gave to Abraham.”
Genesis
28:13-14 and see, Yahuah stood above it and said, “I am Yahuah Elohim of
Abraham your father and the Elohim of Isaac. The land on which you are lying, I
give it to you and your seed. “And your seed shall be as the dust of the
earth, and you shall break forth to the west and to the east, to the north and
the south. And all the clans (families) of
the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed.
Isaac’s descendants shall be as many as the dust of the
earth and be across the whole earth. The promise that Yahauh gave to Abraham,
is now given again to Jacob and his seed.
Genesis
35 9-12 and Elohim appeared to Jacob again, when he came from
Paddan Aram, and blessed him. And Elohim said to him, “Your name is Jacob,
your name is no longer called Jacob, but Israel is your name.” So He called
his name Israel. And Elohim said to him, “I am El Shaddai. Bear fruit and
increase, a nation and a company of nations shall be from you, and
sovereigns come from your body. “And the land which I gave Abraham and Israel
I give to you. And to your seed after you I give this land.”
Jacob becomes Israel and Yahuah gives Israel a new promise.
Yahuah instructs Israel to have many children which will be a specific nation
and many other nations. My question is who are the company of nations?
Joseph and his two sons which are born from his Egyptian
wife - Genesis 48:13-16
and Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel’s left
hand, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought
them near him. And Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on Ephraim’s
head, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh’s head, consciously
directing his hands, for Manasseh was the first-born. And he blessed Joseph, and
said, “The Elohim before whom my father’s Abraham and Isaac walked, the Elohim
who has fed me all my life long to this day, the Messenger who has redeemed
me from all evil – bless the youths! And let my name be called upon them
(Ephraim & Manasseh), and the name of my
fathers Abraham and Isaac. And let them increase to a multitude in the
midst of the earth.”
Out of the 12 sons of Israel (Jacob), Joseph’s two children
are given the double blessing. Israel is telling Joseph that his two sons
Ephraim & Manasseh must carry his name plus Isaac and Abraham’s name forward.
Therefore today the descendants of Joseph’s two sons Ephraim & Manasseh are
Israel, Isaac and Abraham and they are blessed beyond description.
Genesis
48:18-20 and Joseph said to his father, “Not so, my father, for this one
is the first-born, put your right hand on his head.” But his father refused and
said, “I know, my son, I know. He (Manasseh) also
becomes a people, and he also is great. And yet, his younger brother (Ephraim) is greater than he, and his seed is to become
the completeness (fullness – multitude) of the nations.”
And he blessed them on that day, saying, “In you Israel shall bless,
saying, ‘Elohim make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!’ ” Thus he put Ephraim
before Manasseh.
Both Ephraim & Manasseh has received the double portion
of the blessing from Israel, more than any other tribe.
Israel blesses Judah - Genesis 49:9-10 “Judah is a lion’s cub; from the
prey you have gone up, my son! He bowed down, he crouched like a lion. And like
a lion, who does rouse him? “The sceptre shall not turn aside from Judah,
nor a Lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to Him is the
obedience of peoples.
In Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy we
find six titles for Messiah: Shiloh, Sceptre, Shepherd, Stone (Rock), Seed,
Star, and Lawgiver. Judah is to carry the sceptre (scepter – the staff of
authority or the sent One or Peace-Giver) until the Messiah comes! The Messiah
did come and therefore the sceptre no longer is with Judah but with Yahusha
(Jesus). Of cause, majority of Judah today feel Messiah has not come yet and
therefore say they still carry the sceptre (scepter). It is at this point where
John (2 John 9-11) says who the ones is that must be blessed.
Israel blesses Joseph - Genesis 49:22-24 “Joseph is an offshoot of a
fruit-bearing tree, an offshoot of a fruit-bearing tree by a fountain, his
branches run over a wall. “And the archers have bitterly grieved him, shot at
him and hated him. “But his bow remained in strength, and the arms of his hands
were made strong by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob – from there is the
Shepherd, the Stone of Israel – from the El of your father who helps
you, and by the Almighty who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above,
blessings of the deep that lies beneath, blessings of the breasts and of the
womb. “The blessings of your father have excelled the blessings of my
ancestors, up to the limit of the everlasting hills. They are on the head
of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his
brothers.
Joseph receives so many blessings that they excel beyond all
the previous ancestors.
Exodus
6:23-26 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is how you bless the
children of Israel. Say to them: “Yahuah bless you and guard you; Yahuah
make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you; Yahuah lift up His face
upon you, and give you peace.” ’
Verse 24-26 is the Priestly Blessing. Today the Messiah is
our High priest and He gives us this blessing. The head of every household (the
priest of the house) gives this blessing to his family.
Deuteronomy
11:26-28 ‘See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: the
blessing, when you obey the commands of Yahuah your Elohim which I command you
today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commands of Yahuah your Elohim,
but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other mighty
ones which you have not known.
If you obey Yahauh, you will receive blessings but if you do
not obey Yahauh then you will receive a curse.
Deuteronomy 33:1 and this
is the blessing with which Moses the man of Elohim blessed the children of
Israel before his death.
Deuteronomy 33:7 and this
of Judah, and he said, “Hear, Yahuah, the voice of Judah, and bring him to his
people. His hands shall fight for him, and You be a help against his enemies.”
Deuteronomy
33:13-17 and of Joseph he said, “Blessed of Yahuah is his land, with the
choicest from the heavens, with the dew, and the deep lying beneath, with the
choice fruits of the sun, with the choice yield of the months, with the finest
of the ancient mountains, with the choicest of the everlasting hills, with the
choicest of the earth and all that fills it, and the good pleasure of Him who
dwelt in the bush. Let it come on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the
head of him who was separate from his brothers. “His splendour is like a
first-born bull, and his horns are like the horns of the wild ox. With them
he pushes the peoples to the ends of the earth. And they are the ten thousands
of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”
The blessing that Moses gives to Judah and Joseph is very
similar to the blessing Jacob (Israel) gives to them both in Genesis 49.
Who do we bless today? It is those who worship the Father
and the Son. The ones who are in Yahusha (Jesus) and have the Spirit of Yahuah
and worship Him in Spirit and truth are the true Israel. They are the ones that
must be blessed.
Anybody that is preaching not of Yahuah (Heavenly Father)
and of Yahusha the son is false and we must not allow them in our house. The
only people, believers should bless are the ones preaching the Word of Messiah
and those believing in the Messiah.
John
14:6-7 Yahusha (Jesus) said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and
the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me,
you would have known My Father too.
Proverbs
30:4 Who has gone up to the heavens and come down? Who has gathered the
wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all
the ends of the earth? What is His Name, and what is His Son’s Name, if you
know it?
A reproof, an invitation, a call to seek these two Names
which have been suppressed! Do you know the Father and the Son?
