"And now, fear Yahuah (Heavenly Father), serve Him in perfection and in truth, and put away the false idols..... Joshua 24:14.

We think idol worship was only done in the past, think again; idol worship is still with us today. When we think of idol worship we think of someone bowing down and praying to a stone or a piece of wood, which is in many ways true but it can be much simpler, then bowing to stone or wood. Today many are idol worshipping without them knowing it.

The statue in Rio (South America) is or can been seen as an idol, a picture in a house on a wall of a person which is said to be the Messiah, a cross with a person on it, just some examples.

Our Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) is living and we worship a living King not someone in a picture frame who is said by men to be the Messiah. Scripture says we worship Him in spirit and in truth not in a photo or on a cross. At one time I said, just as many still say; Messiah knows my heart and what I am doing is for Him. But this is what we want; it is all about us, not what He wants! Instead we should be asking “what does Messiah’s heart want!”

One of satan's misleading tricks is to have people using symbols in a photo frame, around our necks or on a T-shirt to represent their faith.

 

Joshua said, "And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve Yahuah, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, weather the false gods which your fathers served........... But I and my house, we serve Yahuah." Joshua 24:15.

It is a choice; you cannot serve two masters, its Yahuah or the other gods, but not both. Yahuah is jealous; He is set-apart (Holy) and therefore will not accept anyone serving Him half way, read verse 19 of Joshua 24.

The warning is in verse 20; if you forsake Yahuah, and serve idol gods, He then will reject you and consume you.

All your attention He wants, not only a little bit, example at night when you pray that short prayer or when you are in trouble.

"And now, put away the false idols, and incline your heart to Yahuah Elohim of Israel - Joshua 24:23.

The Almighty says not to mix with those who serve other gods - Joshua 23:7, "But cling to Yahuah.......... Joshua 23:8.

Me and my house, will serve Yahauh only.
