Meekness (Humbleness)

Meekness: a calm temper of mind, not easily provoked. James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good behaviour his works in meekness of wisdom.

Leviticus, 3rd Torah book (Old Testament), Hebrew meaning - Vayikra (first word of the text, meaning "and He called”). Abraham was called out of Haran; Israel was called out of Egypt.

We too are being called out of this World. Matthew 20:16 “Thus the last shall be first, and the first last. For many are called, but few chosen.” & Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Do we hear the Father's call? Do we hear thunder? Or do we hear an angel? A still small voice? (which we will struggle to hear, If we are busy with the things of the world as the noise of the world deafens that still small voice).

Moses heard when Yahuah called. How was he able to hear? He was meek. Numbers 12:3; Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.

Matthew 11:29 [Yahusha said] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart.

Psalm 25:9 He guides the meek ones in right-ruling, and He teaches the meek ones His way.

Psalms 37:11 "But the meek ones shall inherit the earth, and delight themselves in plenty of peace.

Isaiah 29:19 And the meek ones shall increase their joy in Yahuah, and the poor among men rejoice in the Set-apart One of Israel.

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek Yahuah, all you meek ones of the earth, who have done His right-ruling. Seek righteousness, seek meekness, if so be that you are hidden in the day of wrath of Yahuah.

Matthew 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, because they shall inherit the earth.

1 Peter 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of Elohim of great price.

Meekness (humbleness) allows us to hear. Meekness is a most important character trait. The meek shall be in Yahuah's kingdom, the wrong doers shall be cut off.
