Luke
17:3; If your brother sins against you, rebuke him, and if he repents,
forgive him.
If someone sins against you, example steals your money, you
need to tell him that he is sinning (doing wrong = rebuke) and when he realizes
he has done wrong and asks you to forgive him, then Messiah says we must
forgive.
No matter what he has done, if you truly have the Spirit of
Messiah, you would forgive him. If you cannot forgive, you must ask yourself if you really have
Messiah's Spirit.
Verse 4;
If he sins against you 7 times in a day, and 7 times in that same day he comes
back to you and repents, you shall forgive him.
Matthew
6:14-15 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father
shall also forgive you. “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses,
neither shall your Father forgive your trespasses.
No matter how many times a person sins against you, if
he/she comes back and says they are sorry, and they truly are, you must
forgive.
I am not talking about someone that says "I am
sorry" but later does the same thing again. That apology is a false apology.
Matthew
18:21-22 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Yahusha said to
him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
It is not easy to forgive but forgiveness is a true test of
having Messiah's Spirit.
If you cannot forgive, then Heavenly Father Yahuah will also
not forgive.
In fact Yahuah will not hear your prayer if you cannot
forgive.
So if you wonder why your prayers stay unanswered, you
should search your heart for any bitterness towards another person and ask
forgiveness.
An unforgiving heart or bitterness may also cause sickness
and you my pray for healing and not receive any.
Un-forgiveness and bitterness is a block between the Creator
Father and yourself, a block to hear Yahuah's voice, His forgiveness, His
healing, His favor and spiritual growth.
A true believer has a forgiving heart!
