Proverbs of giving and greed











Such are the ways of everyone greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners - Proverbs 1:19.

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it, when it is in the power of your hand to do so - Proverbs 3:27.

Do not say to your neighbour, "Go, and come back, and tomorrow I give it," when you have it with you - Proverbs 3:28.

The righteousness of the straight ones delivers them, but the treacherous are caught by greed - Proverbs 11:6.




















There is one who makes himself rich, yet has none at all - Proverbs 13:7.

An inheritance obtained with greed at the beginning is not blessed at the end - Proverbs 20:21.

He covets greedily all day long, but the righteous gives and does not withhold - Proverbs 21:26.

He who has a good eye is blessed, for he gives of his bread to the poor - Proverbs 22:9.









One who takes away a garment in cold weather, is like vinegar on soda, and a singer of songs on an evil heart - Proverbs 25:20.

If your enemy is hungry give him bread to eat, and if he is thirsty give him water to drink, for you are heaping coals of fire on his head, and Yahuah rewards you - Proverbs 25:21-22.

He who tends the fig tree eats its fruit; and he who guards his master is esteemed - Proverbs 27:18.

He who is greedy stirs up strife, but he who trusts in Yahuah prospers - Proverbs 28:25.

He who gives to the poor does not lack, but he who hides his eyes does have many curses - Proverbs 28:27.
