Are you walking in His Way?

Moses asks Father to show him His ways so he can know Him; Exodus 33:13-14 “And now, please, if I have found favour in Your eyes, please show me Your way, and let me know You, so that I find favour in Your eyes. And consider that this nation is Your people.” And He said, “My Presence does go, and I shall give you rest.”

Do we know that Father showed Moses His ways? Read Psalm 103:7 He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.

Moses knew the Fathers ways and because Moses walked in His ways, he received grace and blessings.

What are Father’s ways.

This is what Father did to the Israelites when He took them into the wilderness; Deuteronomy 8:2 “And you shall remember that Yahuah your Elohim led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you, prove you, to know what is in your heart (search your heart), whether you guard His commands or not.

Where are we presently? Are we still in the wilderness where we are been humbled, been tested, for our hearts to be searched, weather we are walking in His commands or not? That is why we are tried (proven). His purpose is to see whether we shall endure and guard His commands, or not.

Deuteronomy 8:3 “And He humbled you, and let you suffer hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, to make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that comes from the mouth of Yahuah.

Where are we standing presently? Has Father humbled you, has He let you go through suffering and are you letting Him feed you manna so that you can know that you cannot live by bread alone, but by the Word that comes from the mouth of Yahuah only? This is what Messiah said in Matthew 4:4 But He answering, said, “It has been written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of Yahuah.’ ”

We know the Word is Yahusha – the bread of life. Yahusha came to do His Fathers ways. So Yahusha is the Way.

Deuteronomy 8:4-5 “Your garments did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. “Thus you shall know in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahuah your Elohim disciplines you,

Where are you and I? Did you make it through the wilderness? Do you understand that Yahuah will discipline you, just as you discipline your own child!

Deuteronomy 8:6 therefore you shall guard the commands of Yahuah your Elohim, to walk in His ways and to fear Him.

His ways are His commands. If Yahusha is the way and the bread of life then the commands are the manna, the Word that comes from the mouth of Yahuah.

The way, the bread, the manna, the word, the commands – all wrapped up in Yahusha.

What caused the people not to enter into the land or into His rest! What is going to prevent us from entering into His kingdom or rest?

Psalm 95:10-11 tells us; “For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They are a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways.’ “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they enter into My rest...’ ”

Sin leads our heart away from Him because we do not know His ways.

This is mentioned as well in Hebrews 3:10-11; “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest ...’ ”

Who will not enter; Hebrews 3:17-18 And with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey?

Obedience is the fruit of belief, and disobedience proves that such an one does not truly believe.

Caution for us today; Hebrews 3:12-13 Look out, brothers, lest there be in any of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Elohim, but encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the deceivableness of sin.

Hebrews 4:7 He again defines a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so much later, as it has been said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”

Do it today! Do not delay!

Hear what Messiah says about those who think they are walking in His ways!

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire (the ways) of My Father in the heavens. “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’

Even though they are doing mighty works in His Name! Verse 15, and also Matthew 13:41-42 tells us that those doing lawlessness shall be cast into the furnace of fire!

Messiah warns those who are walking in His ways against the so-called believing people who will prosecute the true believers.

John 16:1-3 “These words I have spoken to you, so that you do not stumble (take note so you do not stumble of these words). “They shall put you out of the congregations, but an hour is coming when everyone who kills you shall think he is rendering service to Elohim. Why would they do this! Because in verse 3 it says; And this they shall do to you because they did not know the Father, nor Me. Other words they do not know His ways.

Shavuot is a time when His ways was given to us verbally at Mt Sinai and many years later, verbally given by Messiah and today His ways is given to us verbally through His Spirit (the Ruach ha Kodesh).

Let us truly start walking in His ways.

A hunger for the truth

It is prophesied of days to come or the days are here, that there will be a search for His Word. Many people will go all over from one person to the other looking for His truth but will not find it. Ask yourself why will they not find it! (Amos 8:11-12).

It’s because many so-called believers will talk and say they are prophets but the truth will not be in them. (Jeremiah 5:13).

We hear of many who call themselves prophets and prophecy falsely - Do you recognize them? Then you have priests and pastors who look after themselves with money and riches – Do you recognize them? The sad part is people fall for this and love their smooth talking. Will this benefit them at the end! (Jeremiah 5:31).

Priests and pastors spoke of a God but did not know Yah and His commands. They sinned against Yah and prophesied to the wicked one. (Jeremiah 2:8).

Leaders have misled the believers.

Corrupted His Word.

His Torah has become lost and white wasted.

His word is deserted as no one takes them seriously. (Jeremiah 12:10-11).

They follow man-made teachings and have forgotten the true rest place of Yah.

The lukewarm are deceived by them.

Those that have deceived them will say it is the deceivers who have sinned. (Jeremiah 50:6-7).

The Word of Yahauh is available but many find them to be strange words.

What offerings are you slaughtering to Yahuah? Yahuah does not accept worldly flesh as an offering. (Hoshea 8:12-13).

Some receive truth and then enrich them self with the truth and keep the truth for themselves or they receive riches from His Word and use them for their own gain.

They enrich themselves with the truth and don’t feed the sheep.

They don’t share the truth with the broken or poor of truth, or pray for the sick (flesh sick or spiritual sick, those who are broken, those who strayed from the truth).

Because this truth is not shared many will be lost.

Then the lost will believe those that speak falsehood and lies – man-made words.

Reason why many are following their own man-made religion as they have not been given the truth.

Those who have received the truth do nothing with the truth.

A time will come when those that receive the truth will not receive anymore, instead truth will be taken from them.

Yah Himself has ever since feed them Himself with His Word through His Spirit that Messiah left behind when He went back to His Father.

Yah saves them, through Yahusha the Messiah.

He is now seeking the lost scattered sheep.

He will through His spirit bring them together.

He will give them the truth. (Ezekiel 34:3-13).

Messiah tells us the prophets spoke of a time that YHVH will teach us His Word. That time is when YHVH’s Spirit was sent to us to receive and learn His Word and once we know His teachings will we come to understand the Messiah. (John 6:45).

Even with the Messiah leaving the Spirit behind, many will still reject truth. But follow their own man-made teachings.

Many want to hear only what they want to hear from the smooth teachers. They want to hear words that make them feel good.

Many that heard the truth will turn away to man-made teachings. (2 Timothy 4:3-4).

False prophets and teachers are among us. Can you decern who they are among your people.

If you cannot decern then they will influence believers with a little truth here and a little falsehood their and unknowingly deny the Messiah.

Many will believe and be misled by them. They are smooth talkers with man-made words.

Their falsehood will not end but they shall follow in the steps of the fallen angels who are locked up till judgement day.

Yah has left us witnesses of who he saved like Noah and did not destroy him with the wicked.

Yah destroyed two cities and left them for us to know what will happen if we live this same way.

Yah saved those who lived between wickedness like example Lot and his family.

Final judgement will come at the end for all wickedness.

The wicked ones are among the believers and they cannot stop sinning.

Judgement waits for those wicked ones who live in the flesh.

The corrupt promises freedom when there is no freedom as they are slaves to sin.

Many sinners turn away from wickedness, repent and accept the forgiveness of Yah and walk in truth.

But turn back to their old sinful ways.

The blood of Messiah pays the penalty of our sins, and the Spirit of Yah gives us a new spirit to reject sin and walk in newness of life. If we reject this Spirit from Yahuah and go back to our old way of life, then we are blaspheming the Spirit and rejecting eternal life.

It would have been better if they did not know and receive the truth.

Because as the proverb says, “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “A washed pig returns to her rolling in the mud.” (2 Peter 2:1-22).

A house for His Name

Then Sovereign David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brothers and my people: I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Yahuah, and for the footstool of our Elohim, and had made preparations to build it. (1 Chronicles 28:2)

David’s heart desire was to take the ark of the covenant from the tent of tabernacle and place it in a place of comfort and beauty. Yahuah accepted David’s heart desire but instead of him building the house, his son Solomon was to build this house.

“Now, my son, Yahuah be with you, then you shall prosper and build the House of Yahuah your Elohim, as He has said to you. “Only, let Yahuah give you wisdom and understanding, and command you concerning Israel, so that you guard the Torah of Yahuah your Elohim, …….. (1 Chronicles 22:11-12)

Like all fathers, David was telling Solomon to walk with Yahuah and to do His commands as he will proper if he does.

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the Elohim of your father, and serve Him with a perfect heart and with a pleasing life, for Yahuah searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you do seek Him, He is found by you; but if you forsake Him, He rejects you forever. (1 Chronicles 28:9) (1Kings 11:9-10)

Again, a caring father, David tells Solomon to walk in Yahuah’s ways with a perfect heart and to seek Him all of his days. David also warns Solomon that if he turns away from Yahuah and forsake His ways, he may be rejected (not be saved).

And Solomon gave word to build a House for the Name of Yahuah, and a house for his reign. (2 Chronicles 2:1).

Then Solomon said, “Yahuah has said He would dwell in the dark cloud. “But I have built You an exalted house, and a place for You to dwell in forever.” (2 Chronicles 6:1-2)

“Yet, shall You turn to the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Yahuah my Elohim, to listen to the cry and to the prayer which Your servant is praying before You? “For Your eyes to be open toward this House Day and night, toward the place You have said to put Your Name there, to listen to the prayer which Your servant prays toward this place. (2 Chronicles 6:19-20)

Here, Solomon is praying, asking Yahuah to listen to his pray, for Him to place His Name Yahuah in this house he built.

Solomon asking Yahuah for His blessing over the house/temple and for Yahuah to be in this house that David planned for Yahuah’s ark of the covenant.

And Yahuah appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of slaughtering (2 Chronicles 7:12).

Yahuah hears Solomon's pray and confirms He will place His Name in this house but with conditions. The conditions are;

“And you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you guard My laws and My rightrulings, then I shall establish the throne of your reign, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘There is not to cease a man of yours as ruler in Israel.’ (2 Chronicles 7:17-18)

“But if you turn away and forsake My laws and My commands which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other mighty ones, and bow yourself to them, then I shall pluck them from My land, which I have given them, and this house which I have set apart for My Name I shall cast out of My sight and make it to be a proverb (parable) and a mockery (conversation) among all peoples. (2 Chronicles 7:19-20)

Conditions made to Solomon by the Almighty Creator;

1)            You truly follow Me and abide in My Torah and teachings then I will dwell in this house  forever, but

2)            If you turn away from the Torah and teachings, then I will not dwell in this house forever.

The house of Yahuah together with Solomon's own house was completed in 20 years. Yahuah then as promised, dwelled in the house where His Name was placed. (2 Chronicles 8:1)

Many years later when Solomon was much older, this happened;

And it came to be, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other mighty ones. And his heart was not perfect with Yahuah his Elohim, as was the heart of his father David (1 King 11:4).

And Solomon went after Ashtoreth the mighty one of the Zidonians (Tsidonian), and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. Thus, was wickedness in the eyes of Yahuah (1 King 11:5-6)

Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh (Kemosh) the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech (Molek) the abomination of the children of Ammon. (1 King 11:7)

Solomon went against Yahuah’s conditions turning away from His Torah and the teachings.

ThereforeYahuah was enraged with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from Yahuah Elohim of Israel, who had appeared to him twice, and had commanded him concerning this word, not to go after other mighty ones. But he did not guard what Yahuah had commanded. (1 King 11:9-10)

And Yahuah said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not guarded My covenant and My laws, which I have commanded you, I shall certainly tear the reign away from you and give it to your servant. (1 King 11:11)

Not only did Yahuah tear the Kingdom away from Solomon, He also removed Himself from the house where His Name was placed.

Much later this House of Yahuah together with all contents was removed and destroyed by Babylon (Jeremiah 52).

The scripture is quiet as to when the ark of the covenant left the house of Yahuah but what we know is that the ark was not part of the items that was removed by the enemy before destroying the temple.

The physically ark has not been seen until this present day, except that John saw the ark of the covenant in the dwelling place of heaven during his vision (Revelation 11:19)

Questions I have is;

1)            Was the ark part of the second temple built by Ezra and Nehemiah after coming back from  Babylon.

2)            What did Yahuah mean when He said the temple will be a proverb and a mockery.

Lessons I learnt from this study;

1)            David wanted a house for Yahuah, which was not a command from the Almighty.

2)            The temple was to host the ark of the covenant.

3)            Yahuah’s name would be part of this house (temple).

4)            Solomon built the house for Yahuah at the same time he built his own house and this took 20 years to complete.

5)            Solomon’s house must have been very close to be as impressive as the house of Yahuah.

6)            In latter days, Solomon went after idol worshipping and built other places/temples for the false gods

7)            The house David wanted for Yahuah was known as the house of Yahuah and not the temple of Solomon.

8)            The temple Ezra and Nehemiah built was also known as the house of Yahuah and not the temple of Solomon or the temple of Nehemiah.

Yahuah says, “The heavens are My throne, and the earth is My footstool (Isaiah 66:1-2)

The Most High does not dwell in dwellings made with hands (Acts 7:48-49)

Like Yahuah said to Abraham, “walk before me and I will be your Elohim,” so too He tells us “Where two or three gathers, there I shall be.”

Buildings known as temples or churches are good for believers to gather in to worship or to fellowship in but these building made by man is not His place of residence.

As He is found by “hear and obey,” and by worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Why call on His Name

The Catholic pope and the Jewish Rabbis prohibit the people of using the Creator's Name! Why would they do this?

The Christian Church is no different as they also do not say His Name! It could be that the Christian forefathers did not know the Name or they were not allowed to use the Name.

Today the Christians and the Jews use substituted titles when speaking about the Almighty Creator: Lord, God, Here, Adonai, HaShem and so on. I ask again, why can the Name not be said?

What does scripture say about His Name! Heavenly Father says in Exodus 20:2 “I am YHVH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. The KJV, NIV, ISV & NKJV will say this; "I am the Lord your God." The Jewish Bible says this; "I am Adonai your God."

YHVH (YHWH) is the Creator's Name in the Hebrew language and when you pronounce the Name in English it is Yahuah. The Almighty said this to Moses in Exodus 3:15 And Elohim (Almighty) said further to Moses, “Thus you are to say to the children of Israel, ‘YHVH (Yahuah) Almighty of your fathers, the Almighty of Abraham, the Almighty of Isaac, and the Almighty of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’ Note the part of the verse - This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.’

So, the Name is forever and for all generations, which includes us and our future generations. The Almighty Creator's Name does exist and it is forever.

Why then are we calling Him by titles and not by His Name. The leaders of the Church and the Jewish Rabbis say we must use the titles like Lord and Adonai.

Let's look at where these titles come from and what they mean. The word "Baal" is from Hebrew and means the following: Strong's H1166 and H1167 says this; to be lord, to rule over, possess, own, master, husband, owner, captain, lord, married man.... If I read Exodus 20:2andExodus 3:15 again, I then ask myself is this what He wants to be known by?

Are we really prohibited to call on His Name? What does the Bible say about this?

The song Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 32:3 “For I proclaim the Name of YHVH (Yahuah), ascribe greatness to our Elohim (Almighty).

Deuteronomy 6:13 “Fear YHVH (Yahuah) your Elohim (Almighty) and serve Him, and swear by His Name.

Deuteronomy 10:8 At that time YHVH (Yahuah) separated the tribe of Lewi to bear the ark of the covenant of YHVH, to stand before YHVH, to serve Him, and to bless in His Name, to this day.

Deuteronomy 10:20 “Fear YHVH (Yahuah) your Elohim. Serve Him, and cling to Him, and swear by His Name.

Deuteronomy 18:7 then he shall serve in the Name of YHVH (Yahuah) his Elohim, like all his brothers the Levites, who are standing there before YHVH.

So, we hear that His Name must be said!

Hear what David says in Psalm 22:22 I make known Your Name to My brothers; In the midst of the assembly I praise You.

Psalm 45:17 I cause Your Name to be remembered in all generations; Therefore, the people praise You forever and ever.

Psalm 68:4 Sing to Elohim (Almighty), sing praises to His Name. Raise up a highway for Him who rides through the deserts, by His Name Yah, and exult before Him.

Psalm 91:14“Because he cleaves to Me in love, therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, because he has known My Name. “When he calls on Me, I answer him; I am with him in distress; I deliver him and esteem him. “With long life I satisfy him, and show him My deliverance.”

Psalm 138:2 I bow myself toward Your set-apart temple, and give thanks to Your Name for Your kindness and for Your truth; For You have made great Your Word, Your Name, above all.

Joel 2:32 “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of YHVH (Yahuah) shall be delivered (saved). For on Mount Tsiyon and in Jerusalem there shall be an escape as YHVH has said, and among the survivors whom YHVH calls.

Jeremiah 10:25 Pour out Your wrath on the gentiles who do not know You, and on the tribes who do not call on Your Name. For they have eaten up Jacob, devoured him and consumed him, and laid waste his home.

Zechariah 13:7-9 “O sword, awake against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” declares YHVH (Yahuah) of hosts. “Smite the Shepherd, and let the sheep be scattered. But I shall turn My hand upon the little ones. And it shall be throughout all the soil,” declares YHVH, “that two thirds therein are cut off and die, and one third is left therein. “And I shall bring the third into fire, and refine them as silver is refined, and try them as gold is tried. They shall call on My Name, and I shall answer them. I shall say, ‘This is My people,’ while they say, ‘YHVH is my Elohim.’ ”

Are we understanding? The Almighty wants us to call Him by His Name, not by a title.

Proverbs 30:4 Who has gone up to the heavens and come down? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who established all the ends of the earth? What is His Name, and what is His Son’s Name, if you know it?

Do you know the Father and the Son’s Name?

Now what does the New Testament say about His Name? Hear these words from Yahusha (Jesus)!

John 17:6 “I have revealed Your Name to the men whom You gave Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have guarded Your Word.

In this High Priestly prayer of Yahusha, He repeatedly emphasizes the Name and the Word of YHVH (Yahuah).

John 17:25-26 “O righteous Father, indeed the world did not know You, but I knew You, and these knew that You sent Me. “And I have made Your Name known to them, and shall make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me might be in them, and I in them.”

The religious leaders were avoiding the Father's Name because of their man-made traditions but Yahusha was making it known!

Do you understand now why Yahusha was found guilty on blasphemy? It was because He used the Name of the Almighty.

Hebrews 2:12 saying, “I shall announce Your Name to My brothers, in the midst of the congregation I shall sing praise to You.”

Matthew 6:9 (KJV) After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Yahusha is saying in this pray that Father’s Name is Holy and should be made Holy. If we do not know what Father’s Name is, how can we make His Name Holy.

Still today Yahusha is making His Name known!

Are you making His Name known?

It is your choice if you want to use titles like God when speaking about or to the Almighty Father, but know this, the scripture clearly tells us that He wants us to call Him by His Name and to make it Holy.

Blasphemy of the Name

Leviticus 24:16 ‘And he who blasphemes the Name of Yahuah shall certainly be put to death, and all the congregation certainly stone him, the stranger as well as the native. When he blasphemes the Name, he is put to death.

Yahusha (Jesus) was found guilty of blasphemy which eventually led to His death. This is what happened in Matthew 26:63-65 But Yahusha remained silent. So the high priest said to Him, “I put You to oath, by the living Elohim that You say to us if You are the Messiah, the Son of Elohim.” Yahusha said to him, “You have said it. Besides I say to you, from now you shall see the Son of Adam sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of the heaven.” Then the high priest tore his garments, saying, “He has blasphemed! Why do we need any more witnesses? See, now you have heard His blasphemy!

John 10:33 The Jews answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself Elohim.”

There is only one command within the whole law (Torah), where a person is put to death for blasphemy and that is when a person blasphemy the Name of the Most High. So how did Yahusha blasphemy the Name and how can we blasphemy the Name?

Blasphemy according to the NAS Old Testament Hebrew Lexicon is strong's number H5344 "naqab" which means: A primitive root; to puncture, literally (to perforate, with more or less violence) or figuratively (to specify, designate, libel): - appoint, blaspheme, bore, curse, express, with holes, name, pierce, strike through. Curse according Hebrew: ‘H779 "aror" – Curse, to remove the influence of God, to be cursed, to be made a curse, cursed be he.

Yahusha could not have blasphemed the Name because He was from the beginning and He is the Word. Meaning He could not have blasphemed if He is part of Elohim. The Pharisees did not believe He was the Messiah therefore according to them He was blaspheming the Name.

How can we blasphemy the Name? First, we need to understand what is blaspheme. According to Hebrew strong's H5344 it means to puncture the Name, to pierce the Name, to make holes in the Name, to bore the Name, to curse the Name, to strike through the Name. According to normal English dictionary it means to defile the Name, disrespect the Name, insult the Name. Most of the Christian Bible dictionary says there is no Hebrew word equivalent to the English "blasphemy, " and the Greek root blaspheme, which is used fifty-five times in the New Testament, has a wide meaning. By this statement we know blasphemy in Hebrew does not have the same meaning as blasphemy in Greek or English.

According to Hebrew, blasphemy is to pierce, strike out, puncture the Name. In plain English, does it not mean to delete the Name or to scratch out the Name! Scratch out or delete the Name and replace the Name with a title!

The question we should ask ourselves are we blaspheme His Name unknowingly? We know Heavenly Father has mercy and understanding for those who have been taught wrongly.

This is serious; to blaspheme His Name when we know the truth and we can do something to change it! To blaspheme the name is literally to puncture, or to perforate (pierce and make a hole or holes in) with violence the name, or figuratively to libel or to curse, to express with holes, to pierce, or to strike through the name. Merely strike through the name and replace it with Lord; or Ha'Shem; or Adonai; or God. Substituting the Name of Yahuah with “LORD” or “Lord,” as has been done in most translations, is against all Scripture: (1) It is transgression of the Third Command which prohibits us from bringing His Name to naught, or falsifying it. (2) It is transgression of the command in Deuteronomy 4:2, “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it.” This is repeated in Deuteronomy 12:32, Proverbs 30:6, Revelation 22:18-19. (3) Yahuah reproves the prophets in Jeremiah 23:36, “You have changed the Words of the living Elohim...”

Note: I’m not pointing any finger to anyone calling the Heavenly Father “God or Lord,” all I’m saying is the Almighty has a Name and He wants us as believers to call upon His Name.
