Voice will cease

This is what Yahuah said to Jeremiah of the things that will no longer be found in people and their places because of their sin.

“See, before your eyes and in your days, I am making the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride to cease in this place (Jeremiah 16:9). Read also Jeremiah 25:10.

The voices of rejoicing, of gladness, of the bridegroom and of the bride will not be heard.

Guess what the people will say when this happens!

Jeremiah 16:10 ‘Why has Yahuah pronounced all this great evil against us? And what is our crookedness (iniquity), and what is our sin that we have committed against Yahuah our Elohim?’

Yahuah answers in Jeremiah 16:11-12 ‘Because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ declares Yahuah, ‘and have walked after other mighty ones and served them and bowed themselves to them, and have forsaken Me, and did not guard My Torah. ‘And you have done more evil than your fathers, for look, each one walks according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me.

Because of people worshipping idols and not following Yahuah’s commands. It is the breaking of the Torah that led to this grave attack and ultimate captivity. Yahuah laid out in the precepts of the Torah how to serve and love Him and how to love our fellow man. When the Torah is ignored for mankind’s own human nature, he will ultimately fail and bring his own misery.

Jeremiah 16:12-13 And you have done more evil than your fathers. For, behold, you each one walk after the stubbornness of his evil heart, without listening to Me. And I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, you nor your fathers. And there you shall serve other Elohim day and night, where I will not grant you favor.

Yahuah warned the people long before Jeremiah’s time of what would happen if they worshipped idols – read Deuteronomy 28:64.

A time will come when people will forget about the Almighty Yahuah – Jeremiah 16:14.

In this time when the people are scattered all across the world, Yahuah will visit the wicked from within the people as these wicked people will not be able to hide from Yahuah – Jeremiah 16:16-17.

Jeremiah 16:18 “And first I shall repay double for their crookedness and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the dead bodies of their disgusting matters, and have filled My inheritance with their abominations.”

Can we blame Yahuah when we go through punishment because we fall away from doing what is right like these people did in those times.

Something to think about!
