Love is........

Do you know what love is? What is the love you think you know?
Is it the Hollywood love, the fairy type love taught by the world or is it the love of Yahuah given to us by His Spirit through His Living Torah the Messiah Yahusha?

How is this worldly love expressed to each other which I call "Hollywood love?" We have been taught that showing someone our love is by the following ways;
A romantic dinner for two
Buying presents
Giving red roses with a card which includes beautiful words written in/on the card
A holiday trip to the Caribbean Island.
Buying clothes or perfume

Don't get me wrong! I am not saying doing the above for your loved one is wrong! What I am saying is this; do I show my love to someone by having a romantic dinner at candle light. Is this how I really express my love! Is this not caring, showing appreciation for each other and yes, it can be seen as showing love but it is not the true love!

Do you see it as love when your wife or husband buys you perfume, clothes or takes you away on a weekend holiday? Is it love or is it something else? Is the love we have for each other the same love we have for Yahauh?

I am trying to understand this love! Do I love my wife the same way as I love Yahuah! Is it two different ways of love! Can there be different ways of showing love to my wife and to Yahuah!

What does Yahuah say about love? According to scripture, how does Father asked to be loved?

In Deuteronomy 6:5 Moses tells the people, “And you shall love Yahuah your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your might.
John 14:15, “If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.
John 14:21, “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me.
1 John 5:3, For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy,
John 14:23, Yahusha answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.
John 15:10, “If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.

To show my love for Yahuah, I do His commands (I obey Him). Example; keeping the Sabbath! I am not keeping the Sabbath because I am force to do so! We all are born with a free choice – a gift from Yahuah.
I do not keep the Sabbath because I want to be sure I am saved one day!
I keep the Sabbath because I love Him with all my heart, soul and mind! He says to me, John (Ernest is my first name), if you really love me; then I would want you to keep the Sabbath!
I say to Yahuah; ‘Yahuah,’ I really love You! (Keeping the Sabbath is proof that I love Him. Not keeping the Sabbath my way but His way is love).

So you see, Abba Father's love is different from the worlds love.
Does Yahusha Messiah not tell us to walk as He walks!
1 Peter 2:21, for to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, & 1 John 2:6, the one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.
Being of Yahuah and walking in the Belief/Faith of Yahusha is how you show your love for Elohim.
You will have Yah's heart, which is pure love.
You will behave, act and carry yourself by the standards of Yah's Word.

Should we not love our spouse the same way as we love Yahuah or should it be in a different way!

Is it wrong if my wife wants to love me the worldly way by buying me a fancy jacket or giving me perfume?

Yahusha says, “If you stay in Me, and My Words stay in you (love Me), you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. “In this My Father is esteemed (loved), that you bear much fruit, and you shall be My taught ones. “As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Stay in My love. “If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love – John 15:7-10.

This means: Love Him first, and then He gives what you need!
What does Yahusha mean when He says - you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you? Does this mean that if I ask for a new sports car when actually I do have a car even though it is old, He will then give me the sports car!
I do not think so!
It means that if my car has broken down and I do not have the money to fix it and because of this problem with my car I must walk 10km a day to my work and 10km back home after work.
He will give me according to my needs.

Matthew 6:33, “But seek first the reign (kingdom) of Elohim, and His righteousness, and all these matters shall be added to you.
If you are seeking His kingdom, it means you want to be part of Him (to love Him). Then once you love Him, He says; then I shall add to you what you need!
Again, first love, and then He gives want you need!

So then, my wife should first love me (do my desires first) after that I should then give her what she needs, like example perfume, clothes, dinner for two or a holiday. And like wise, I should love her first (comply with her desires), then she will give me the fancy jacket or perfume.

So then;

Love is……
Decided before or on the wedding day, when the bride and the bridegroom tell (read to) each other their vows (desires).
The vow (desires) could be something like this;

To my bride (wife);
Do not love any other man
Do not flirt
Do not share our intimacy with other people
Do not lie to me
Do not keep secrets from me
Bring our children up in our Elohim's way
Do not over spend our money on worldly entertainment.
Spend time in Father's word together with me
Let us do things together
Do not let us go to bed angry with each other.
Do not criticize me in front of other people
Do not undress yourself in front of other people except maybe your parents.

This vow to my bride is not romantic but it is love, Abba's way!
This is true love, the biblical way!

Once my bride accepts my vow and I accept her vow, we go and do that vow we promised to each other.
If you, my wife love me, do my vow!
Then I can say the same as what Messiah said; “If you my wife stay in me, and my vow (words) stay in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.

Is this not the true love Elohim speaks about!
Praise Yah.

Overcomer's

When confronted with faith in Messiah, we have to remain totally 100% free to be like the Apostles in Acts chapters 4 and 5.

Peter (Kepha) and John (Yohanan) and others had been preaching in the Temple count yard.  The Sanhedrin ruling body had ordered them to be beaten and thrown in prison. But, Father sent an angel to open up the prison, and to give them this message: “Go stand in the Set-Apart Place and speak to the people all the words of this life”.

They went right back and did as Father said to do. The High Priest and the Captain of the Temple and chief priests got the news quickly.
They were again arrested and brought before the Sanhedrin. They said to the Apostles: “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this Name?”  “And Peter and the other Apostles answered, saying, `WE HAVE TO OBEY ELOHIM RATHER THAN MEN”, and they continued to preach to those present.
The council were infuriated and decided to have them killed.  But, Father intervened again.
“Then indeed they went rejoicing from the presence of the council because they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His Name”.

We must stay outside man’s systems of control! The ultimate in the world is comfort, ease, convenience, and the preservation of the self-life.  But, that is opposite of what is required of a servant of Messiah Yahusha!  We must live a life of martyrdom, death to self, and be willing always to be a martyr (a witness) for His sake. This is Father's will.

Revelation 12:11: “And they overcame him (the Devil, Satan, and the Dragon--the beast anti-messiah) because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death”.
II Timothy 2:3-4: “Suffer hardship as a good soldier of Messiah Yahusha.  No one serving as a soldier gets involved in the affairs of this life, in order to please only him who enlisted him as a soldier”.
I Peter 4:1-2: “Therefore since Messiah suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind, because he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, so that he no longer lives the rest of his life in the flesh for the lusts of men, but according to the desire of Elohim”.

Philippians 1:27b-29: “…stand fast in one spirit, with one soul, striving together for the faith of the Good News, without being frightened in any way by those who oppose, which to them truly is a proof of destruction, but to you of deliverance, and that from Elohim, because to you it has been given as a favour, on behalf of Messiah, not only to believe on Him, but also to suffer for His sake”.

The last command of Messiah Yahusha before leaving earth was this: “And you shall receive power when the Set-Apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” - Acts 1:8.

You can’t obey this command if you remain a weak, pathetic, cowardly or  lazy either.  He wants mature, responsible, bold and brave soldiers in His army. You sure cannot obey this command if you submit to any religion.  You can’t obey this command if you fear the “beast”—the law-less one, the man of sin—the “anti-messiah”.  You can’t obey this command if you’re scared of your family, your spouse, acquaintances, and your next-door neighbor.

If you are not busy about the work of His Kingdom, spreading the Good News of the Kingdom, bringing others to salvation, teaching them the truth of the Covenant/Torah, in some way, reaching out to the widow, the orphan, the homeless, the hurting and the destitute, then do you understand what it means to be His bond slave?
Everything else must be secondary to being about His business.
We are “bought with a price”.

We have the privilege of dying to our won will, to pick up our execution stake, to follow Him - Luke 14:25-33.

When everything is over and done, may we as the elect be standing, with Yahuah's help, to overcome and be the people that He has wanted from the beginning: An obedient and humble people, willing to obey Him from the heart:
Deuteronomy 5:29, ‘Oh, that they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and to guard all My commands always, so that it might be well with them and with their children forever!

The following is waiting for those that have overcome as revealed in the book of Revelation, Yahuah's Word to the body of Messiah Yahusha:
Revelation 2:7, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I shall give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of Elohim.” ’

Revelation 2:11, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. He who overcomes shall by no means be harmed by the second death.” ’

Revelation 2:17, “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I shall give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I shall give him a white stone, and on the stone a renewed Name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” ’

Revelation 2:26–28, “And he who overcomes, and guards My works until the end, to him I shall give authority over the nations, and he shall shepherd them with a rod of iron, as the potter’s vessels shall be broken to pieces, f as I also have received from My Father. “And I shall give him the morning star.

Revelation 3:5–6, “He who overcomes shall be dressed in white robes, and I shall by no means blot out his name from the Book of Life, but I shall confess his name before My Father and before His messengers. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’

Revelation 3:12, “He who overcomes, I shall make him a supporting post in the Dwelling Place of My Elohim, and he shall by no means go out. And I shall write on him the Name of My Elohim and the name of the city of My Elohim, the renewed Jerusalem, which comes down out of the heaven from My Elohim, and My renewed Name.

Revelation 3:21–22, “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.” ’ ”

May we overcome with the help of Yah!

If you Love Him

1 John 2:3-5, and by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

Who is perfect!

In Genesis 17:1, Yahuah appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Âl Shaddai – walk before Me and be perfect.

Psalm 119:1, blessed are the perfect in the way, Who walk in the teaching of Yahuah!
And Messiah says in Matthew 5:48, “Therefore, be perfect, as your Father in the heavens is perfect.

Can we be perfect! The Almighty is asking us to be perfect.

1 John 2:6-7, the one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked. Beloved, I write no fresh command to you, but an old command which you have had from the beginning. The old command is the Word which you heard from the beginning.

What are the Old commands! Exodus 20 is the old commands, the 10 Words of Yahuah.

This is what will happen to those that do His will;

Revelation 12:17, and the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of Yahusha Messiah.

Revelation 14:12, Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of Elohim and the belief of Yahusha Messiah.
The set-apart ones are the remnant mentioned in Revelation 12:17.

A True Worshipper has to comply with these two requirements: To guard the commands of Yahuah, and to believe in Yahusha Messiah!

Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.

Matthew 19:17, and He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except One – Elohim. But if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands.”

If we desire life! Guard the commands of Yahuah, and believe in Yahusha Messiah!

What is Love verse True Love?
One can be loving and caring, expressing a type of love on the surface, but if the one expressing the loving and caring attributes knowingly practices sinful behaviour and actions contrary to what is right, as defined by Scripture, and stays defiantly in an unrepentant state, then he/she is no brother or sister at all in Messiah.
Alternatively, if we keep the eternal laws, statutes, and judgments of Yahuah correctly, but don't express the fruit of the Spirit by having love and true concern for the brethren, then we also become listed with those not of the body of Messiah.

We pray Abba Father for Your Set-apart Spirit, to help us to do Your Word, in the Name of the Living Word, Yahusha we ask this.

HalleluYah

Prophets

How do we know when a prophet is true or when a prophet is false?

A prophet is a spokesman for Yahuah (Heavenly Father) and in times past "prophets" were often regarded as possessing a super-natural gift.

Scripture defines Father's TRUE prophets as defined in Deuteronomy 13:1-4 & Deuteronomy 18:18-20, the prophet shall have Father's Words in his mouth and he shall speak to them all that I command him.
Father's prophets were persecuted and many of them were killed - Acts 7:52.
Moses speaks about the Messiah that Yahuah will send - read Acts 7:37-38, “This is the Moses who said to the children of Israel, ‘Yahuah your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear.’ “This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the Messenger who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received the living Words (the 10 Words/Commands) to give to us,....

Messiah said that false prophets were well spoken of: Luke 6:26, “Woe to you when all men speak well
of you, for thus their fathers did to the false prophets.
He reveals to us that the false prophets are those who work lawlessness which is very important for us to understand. Matthew 7:15-20, “But beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves. “By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles? “So every good tree yields good fruit, but a rotten tree yields wicked fruit. “A good tree is unable to yield wicked fruit, and a rotten tree to yield good fruit. “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. “So then, by their fruits you shall know them –
Yahusha Messiah (Jesus) says in verse 22-23, "Many shall say to Me, Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name and done many other miracles in Your Name? "And then I (Messiah) shall declare to them, 'I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!'

These words of Messiah should be a wake up call to anyone that is prophesying (preaching) falsely.
A TRUE Prophet will only talk what is written in scripture, a false prophet will make up his own ideas with a little bit of truth and a person that does not know the scriptures would easily be deceived by him.
A false prophet knows the Word of by heart but his actions and life style will be of the wicked one.

Ezekiel 13:1-3, 6, 8-10: “And the word of Yahuah came to me saying, `Son of man…say to those who prophesy out of their own heart, “Hear the word of Yahuah!” Thus says the Master Yahuah, `Woe to the foolish prophets, who are following their own spirit, without having a vision! …Their visions are false and their divinations a lie, saying, “Thus declares Yahuah."

The nature/character of Yahuah’s Prophets must align to the nature, ways, and thinking of Yahuah!
The true Prophet guards the Torah from his heart!  In order for the true Prophet to hear from Yahuah and deliver His message without one word being altered, the true Prophet must be dead to all self-will, self-seeking, and selfish desires.

Yahusha Messiah warned that an increase in false prophets was a sure sign of the “end of the age.”
Matthew 24:3-5, 24-25: And Yahusha Messiah answering said to them, `Take heed that no one leads you astray. For many shall come in My Name saying “I am,” and they shall lead many astray.’… `For false prophets and false messiahs shall arise and they shall show great signs and wonders…….. Messiah says in verse 25, “See, I have forewarned you.

False prophets are in the business for profit--for big money, fame, and control over the minds of people.
They are popular people.
They tell people what is soothing, nice, and encouraging, but almost never tell the people to repent, to prepare, and to get ready because judgment is coming.

The false prophet “sells the truth” for merchandise, which the Word says not to do!
Beware of those who sell their teachings or prophecies for money! (Proverbs 23:23) Beware of those who charge you money for coming to their meetings, seminars, or conventions!

Matthew 7:15-16, “Beware of the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you shall know them…”

Remember! Be not deceived!
