Belief

The definition of Belief: ‘belief’ especially refers to the act of accepting something without proof and evidence. We use the noun ‘belief’ when we are talking about faith, confidence or trust in something. Belief is a noun that refers to the act of accepting something as true while believe is a verb that refers to accepting something as truth.
Faith = (Belief + Action + Confidence). Bottom line, belief is trust in the Almighty.

If any lacks wisdom, ask Elohim, who gives to all generously and without reproach and it shall be given to him. But he should ask in BELIEF, NO DOUBTING, for he who doubts will not receive at all. For that man should not think that he shall receive from the Messiah, he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways – James 1:5-8.
This is what Father says when you ask for something, Isaiah 65:24 that before they call, I (Father) answer. When they are still speaking (praying) I hear.

But be aware of this warning in Hebrews 3:12, look out brothers, if there be any wicked heart of unbelief, then there will be a falling away from the living Elohim (Almighty).
The power of belief is seen in, 2 Chronicles 20:12 the King of Judah was under attack and he was totally out numbered, he then asks Heavenly Father for help, these words he spoke to Father; we do not know what to do , but our eyes are upon you Father. The King had belief in Father. This is what Heavenly Father tells the King in verse 15; "do not fear, nor be afraid of this great army, for the battle is not yours, but Elohim's. Read the complete chapter 20 for the complete story of King Jehoshaphat. In verse 29, And there was a fear of Elohim on all kingdoms of the lands when they heard that Yahuah (Yahweh) had fought with the enemies of Israel.

Do you have belief and do you act on it as what this King did?
The keeping of the Torah is an act of faith for belief in the word of Yahuah (Yahweh) and a requirement for eternal life through the Messiah.

Matthew 17:19-21, Then coming up to Yahusha (Yahshua/Yesha/Jesus) privately, the disciples said, Why were we not able to cast him out? And Yahusha said to them, Because of your unbelief. For truly I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there! And it will move. And not a thing shall prevail over you. But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
Did you hear what Messiah said! If you have belief, you would be able to move mountains. Remember the words above about what belief means; act of accepting something without proof and evidence. Noah and Abraham are two examples of people that acted on their faith in Yahuah (Yahweh). Noah builds the ark and Abraham left his family and security to go to an unknown land. Did Heavenly Father give Noah proof/evidence of the flood to come, no, he had belief in what Father told him.

How did Noah have belief? I have thought about this many times. I realized it was not difficult for Noah to obey this request and build the ark. We know Noah was a righteous man (scriptures tells us),  in other words he followed and obeyed Yahuah (Yahweh) all the time. Not just sometimes, he did not just say “I believe in the Almighty Creator” and carried on living and doing his own thing. He grew up learning Yahuah’s (Yahweh’s) ways, doing His will and not his will. He heard Father’s voice, not voices from other gods but only the Almighty’s voice. I can imagine if Noah lived today, he would not listen to rock/punk/pop music or spend time watching sport and idolizing a sport star. No, I think he lived a life of following Father by what His word says and believe he knew exactly when Father spoke to him. He knew when someone spoke to him in his spirit that it was only from Yahuah (Yahweh). There was no confusion as to what voice he was hearing.
We are so busy with our own things and of the world that we do not hear His voice or we not sure who is talking to us.

If we want to move mountains then we need to look at how Noah became righteous or Abraham or Isaac or Paul. What did Messiah say in Matthew 17: But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting? We need to pray and fast. His word says so.
Hebrews Chapter 11 is about the belief of Abel, Enoch, Abraham, Jacob, Sarah, Joseph, Moses. They heard Father and acted.

John 11:35, Yahusha wept. Do you think Messiah was weeping because of the death of Lazarus, no, He knew He would be resurrecting him. He was weeping due to their lack of belief in what He was about to do.

Hebrews 3:19, So we see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief. Obedience is the evidence of faith and both are needed to enter Yahuah’s (Yahweh's) kingdom. They go hand in hand and don't contradict each other.
Romans 11:20-23, Well! For unbelief they were broken off. And you stand by faith. Do not be high indeed, but fear. For if Elohim did not spare the natural branches, fear that it may be He will not spare you either. Behold, then, the kindness and severity of Elohim: On those having fallen, severity. But on you kindness, if you continue in the kindness. Otherwise, you will also be cut off. And those also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in. For Elohim is able to graft them in again.

HalleluYah, He has so much love and patience.
Galatians 6:17 From henceforth, let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Master Yahusha. Paul had the physical marks of torture that he bore in his flesh for the faith and belief that he had in Messiah.

2 Tim 3:14-17, But you keep on in what you learned and were assured of, knowing from whom you learned, and that you have learned from your childhood, the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through belief in Messiah Yahusha (Yahshua/Yesha/Jesus).
Mat 8:8 & 10, And answering, the centurion said, Master, I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, but only speak a word and my child will be healed. Verse 10, And hearing, Yahusha marveled, and said to those following, Truly I say to you, not even in Israel did I find such faith.

This man believed just by Yahusha’s word his child would be healed. How many of us today still believe that in His Name you can be healed. Not going to a doctor but only by calling on His Name you can be healed. Do you have belief?
You cannot have belief as Simon Magus had in Acts 8:18-21, who offered money for the faith the apostles. Peter told him; May your silver be with you into destruction, because you thought to obtain the gift of Yahuah (Yahweh) through money. You have no part or portion in this faith because your heart is not straight before Yahuah (Yahweh).

There are many people today just as Simon Magus, who think money can buy everything. Many teachers heart s are also not straight before Yahuah (Yahweh), for them it is for the money, the traveling and luxury.
James 2:14-17 & 26, My brothers, what is the gain if anyone says he has faith, but he does not have deeds? Is the faith able to restore life to him? But if a brother or a sister is naked and may be lacking in daily food, and any one of you say to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, but does not give them the things the body needs, what gain is it? So also faith, if it does not have deeds, is dead being by itself. For as the body is dead apart from the spirit, so also faith without deeds is dead.

Deeds are the evidence of your faith as YHVH’s (YHWH's) spirit is not barren and if there is no deed to back up your faith, then you don't have any faith.
How does faith come? Romans 10:17, then faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the Word of Elohim. To practice one's faith there must be daily study of the word of YHWH and then taking action.

Revelation 13:10 If anyone gathers captivity, into captivity he goes. If anyone will kill by a sword, by a sword he must be killed. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
The patience and faith of the saints is fully trusting in YHWH and not taking matters into one's own hands, as everyone will reap what they sow.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are the ones keeping the commandments of Yahuah (Yahweh), and the faith of Yahusha.
It is quite clear that at this time the true believers in Yahusha are keeping the Torah in faith and obedience to the one who wrote it, (Rev 19:13, Joh 1:1-3, 14).

Acts 6:8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, was doing wonders and great signs among the people.

Bless and Praise YAH
