Messiah Yahusha (Jesus) spoke many parables during His walk
on earth.
In Matthew
13:10, the disciples asked Him why He spoke in parables, this was His
answer (written in
my own words): The secrets of the Kingdom of Elohim are given to those
who hear and whose eyes are truly open but not for those that are not open.
"For whoever possesses (truth), to him more (truth) shall be given; but
whoever does not possess (the truth), even what he possesses (truth) shall be
taken away. Below are the words from scripture;
And He answering, said to them, “Because it has been given
to you to know the secrets of the reign of the heavens, but to them it has not
been given. “For whoever possesses, to him more shall be given, and he shall
have overflowingly; but whoever does not possess, even what he possesses shall
be taken away from him. “Because of this I speak to them in parables, because
seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
“And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is completely filled, which says, ‘Hearing
you shall hear and by no means understand, and seeing you shall see and by no
means perceive, for the heart of this people has become thickened, and their
ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see
with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with
their heart, and turn back, and I heal them.’ “And blessed are your eyes
because they see, and your ears because they hear, for truly I say to you, that
many prophets and righteous ones longed to see what you see, and did not see
it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it – Matthew 13:11-17.
How would we know these secrets? Ask Yahusha! And with many
such parables He was speaking to them the word as they were able to hear, and
He was not speaking to them without parables. And when they were alone, He
explained all to His taught ones – Mark 4:33-34.
For-example; if you hear and see in His Word the truth
regarding the tradition of Christmas or the only way to be saved is to repent
from your sins, be baptized in the Name of the Messiah Yahusha and to follow
His commands and you do not take action, then Messiah says that what you have
heard and seen will be taken away from you.
Luke
8:17-18 “For whatever is hidden shall be revealed, and whatever is
secret shall be known and come to light. “Therefore take heed how you hear. For
whoever possesses, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not possess,
even what he thinks he possesses shall be taken from him.”
In these last days Yahusha is indeed revealing much unto
those who obey Him! Unto those who hear and obey whatever truth Yahusha brings
to them, He brings more truth. However, those who do not hold on to whatever
truth He brings, they lose it all, even that which they think they have.
Mark
4:12, "seeing they see, but do not perceive, and hearing they hear,
but do not understand, lest they should turn and their sins be forgiven
them."
Read also Isaiah
6:9-10, and He said, “Go, and you shall say to this people, ‘Hearing,
you hear, but do not understand; and seeing, you see, but do not know.’ “Make
the heart of this people fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest
they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their
heart, and shall turn and be healed.”
Messiah says in Matthew 13:16, blessed are your eyes because they see and your
ears because they hear, as many will long for it.
Messiah spoke many parables which are written down in
scripture, the question is; do you hear and see the parable, is your heart
completely open to understanding or is your heart hardened and your ears hard
of hearing and your eyes closed.
If your heart understands these things spoken by Messiah,
then you have to take action and live this truth because if you neglect this,
He will take it away, as mentioned in 2 Peter 2:20-22, those that have heard the truth
and do not live the truth, it would be better that you did not hear the truth
as you will be worse off than before you knew the truth.
Messiah said in John 18:37, everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.
What are you hearing?
The real “Gospel” (message) is not the popular one.
It is “Repent, for the Reign of Yahuah draws near” - Matthew3:2 & 4:17. Mark 1:15, and saying,
“The time has been filled, and the reign of Elohim has come near. Repent, and
believe in the Good News.”
All the parables describe it in great detail. The message of
the Reign of Yahuah is the subject matter of the parables, which conceals its
meaning from those not called. (Many are called, few chosen).
Psalm
78:1-3 My people, give ear to my Torah, Incline your ears to the words
of my mouth. I open my mouth in a parable; I utter riddles of old, which we
have heard and known, for our fathers have related them to us.
You can
praise the Living Yahuah (Heavenly Father) till you drop; but if you will not
obey Him, your prayers and praise are an abomination –
Proverbs 15:8-9, the
slaughtering of the wrong ones is an abomination to Yahuah, but the prayer of
the straight is His delight. The way of the wrong one is an abomination to Yahuah,
but He loves him who pursues righteousness.
Proverbs 28:9, He who
turns away his ear from hearing the Torah (Word), even his prayer is an
abomination.
Isaiah 1:15 “And when you
spread out your hands, I hide My eyes from you; even though you make many
prayers, I do not hear. Your hands have become filled with blood.
Isaiah 59:1-2 look, the
hand of Yahuah has not become too short to save, nor His ear too heavy to hear.
But your crookednesses have separated you from your Elohim. And your sins have
hidden His face from you, from hearing.
John
9:31 “And we know that Elohim does not hear sinners. But if anyone fears
Elohim and does His desire, He hears him. James 5:16 confess your trespasses to one another,
and pray for one another, so that you are healed. The earnest prayer of a
righteous one accomplishes much.
2 Corinthians
4:3-4, Shaul (Paul) states that he does not distort the “Word of
Yahuah”, and says: and indeed, if our
Good News has been veiled, it has been veiled in those who are perishing, in
whom the mighty one of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so
that the enlightening of the Good News of the esteem of Messiah, who is the
likeness of Elohim, does not shine on them.
Satan, has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot
see the Light of the Gospel of the esteem of Messiah, Who is the Image of
Yahuah.”
2 Corinthians
2:15-17, Paul speaks also of those perishing, and says something that
might really open your eyes: “Unlike so many, we do not trade the Word of
Yahuah for profit.”
Remember, the "Word" of Yahuah is His Torah, the
Commandments / Covenant that will never pass away until Heaven and Earth pass
away.
The first thing a person must do is being convicted of their
sin. Hearing first that their “sins are
covered” doesn’t emphasize repentance from sin; it sounds like they can live in
their mind of the flesh, “believing”.
Proverbs
26:11 is a clear message; as a dog returns to his own vomit, so a fool
repeats his folly.
Let’s not be fools and return to our old ways but hear His
truth. Not only hear His truth but keep His truth so more secrets can be given
to you by Yahusha Messiah. Do not let Him take it away because you have become
lukewarm.
