And Yahuah came down in the cloud and stood with him there,
and proclaimed the Name, Yahuah. And Yahuah passed before him and proclaimed,
“Yahuah, Yahuah, an El (Elohim (Almighty)) compassionate (merciful) and showing
favour (gracious), patient (slow to anger), and great in kindness (goodness)
and truth, watching over kindness (mercy) for thousands, forgiving crookedness
(iniquity) and transgression and sin, but by no means leaving unpunished,
visiting the crookedness (iniquity) of the fathers upon the children and the
children’s children to the third and the fourth generation” – Exodus 34: 5-7.
Numbers
14:18 ‘Yahuah is patient and of great kindness, forgiving crookedness
and transgression, but by no means leaving unpunished; visiting the crookedness
of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’
Jeremiah
30:11 ‘For I am with you,’ declares Yahuah, ‘to save you. Though I make
a complete end of all gentiles (nations) where I have scattered you, yet I do
not make a complete end of you. But I shall reprove (correct) you in judgment
(justly), and by no means leave you unpunished.’
Now David knew all about Yahuah’s character as he expressed
his feelings in Psalm 103
similar to what Moses heard from Father in Exodus 34;6-7.
David received all Yahuah’s blessing but David also made
mistakes which he repented of! Yahuah forgave David of his sins but as Father’s
character is, He did not leave David unpunished.
How did David react to his punishment? He accepted His
punishment and moved on because He knew how Father thinks and operates!
Read Psalm
103 below and hear how David tells us of Yahuah’s character which ties
up to Exodus 34: 6-7.
Psalm
103 Bless Yahuah, O my being, and all that is within me, bless His set-apart
Name! Bless Yahuah, O my being, and do not forget all His dealings, who
forgives all your crookednesses, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your
life from destruction, who crowns you with kindness and compassion, who
satisfies your desire with the good, your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Yahuah is doing righteousness and right-ruling for all the oppressed. He made
known His ways to Moses (Mosheh), His acts to the children of Israel. Yahuah is
compassionate (merciful) and showing favour (gracious), patient, and great in
kindness. He does not always strive (endeavor/contend), nor maintain it
forever. He has not done to us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according
to our crookednesses. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is
His kindness toward those who fear Him; As far as east is from west, so far has
He removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion for his
children, so Yahuah has compassion for those who fear Him. For He knows how we
are made; He remembers that we are dust. A man’s days are like grass; as a
flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind blows over it, and it is no
more, and its place no longer remembers it. But the kindness of Yahuah is from
everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him, and His righteousness to
children’s children, to those who guard His covenant, and to those who remember
His orders (commandments) to do them. Yahuah has established His throne in the
heavens, and His reign shall rule over all. Bless Yahuah, you His messengers,
mighty in power, who do His Word, listening to the voice of His Word. Bless
Yahuah, all you His hosts, you His servants, who do His pleasure. Bless Yahuah,
all His works, in all places of His rule. Bless Yahuah, O my being!
Verses
1-4- This is a beautiful psalm of Yahuah's grace and mercy and healing
power. Verse 3-
Yahuah promises to heal His chosen and forgives upon repentance, but when He
takes away the human sickness as a result of the sin is fully His prerogative,
whether it is immediate, later or even when the Kingdom arrives. This is where
faith for healing comes in. This is also very important to repent of your wrong
doings. In fact it is a command to repent (Acts 17:30) and David clearly knew
this.
Verses
8-13- Show the beautiful mercy and grace of a most loving Creator even
in man's inability to be righteous in the flesh.
Yahusha(Jesus)
came to earth as a human to know the exact feelings and weaknesses that humans
go through to be a most merciful High Priest to us, Hebrews 2:16-18,for, doubtless, He does not
take hold of messengers, but He does take hold of the seed of Abraham. So in
every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a
compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make
atonement for the sins of the people. For in what He had suffered, Himself
being tried, He is able to help those who are tried.
Hebrews
4:14-16 therefore, since we have a great High Priest who has passed
through the heavens, Yahusha the Son of Elohim, let us hold fast our
confession. For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our
weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin.
Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of favour, in order to receive compassion,
and find favour for timely help.
The promise is to those who not only believe in His
commandments but to those who keep them. To say that one loves Yahuah, but they
do not keep His commandments scripture calls them a liar - 1John 2:3-5.
Both the cherubs (Angels) of heaven and the true ministers
of Yahusha on earth bless only the name of Yahuah and not the name of pagan
deities -Isaiah 42:8.
We must have the same character as Messiah Yahusha (Jesus).
