Proverbs of Lying and bribes

Lying lips are an abomination to Yahuah (Heavenly Father), but those who deal truly are His delight - Proverbs 12:22.

A righteous one hates a lying word, but a wrong man is loathsome (a disgust) and comes to shame - Proverbs 13:5.

A trustworthy witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies - Proverbs 14:5.

A true witness saves lives, but he who breathes out lies is a betrayer (disloyal) - Proverbs 14:25.

An evil-doer gives careful attention to wicked lips; a liar gives ear to a tongue of desire - Proverbs 17:4.

A false witness does not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies perishes (dies) - Proverbs 19:9.

A poor man is better than a liar - Proverbs 19:22.

Gaining treasures by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapour, heading for death - Proverbs 21:6.

A false witness perishes, ... Proverbs 21:28.

And do not deceive with your lips - Proverbs 24:28.

He who hates, pretends with his lips, and lays up deceit within him; though he speaks kindly, do not believe him....... Proverbs 26:24-25.

A lying tongue hates its bruised ones, and a flattering mouth works ruin - Proverbs 26:28.

Remove falsehood and a lying word far from me; ... Proverbs 30:8.

Deceitful actions as well as deceitful words are wrong and are condemned by Yahuah. When the truth is twisted to make it acceptable, it is a lie. If someone makes a false accusation against an innocent person, he/she are guilty of lying and will be punished.

People lie to protect themselves, but the protection proves to be deceptive.

Lying is a natural result of sinful nature but there is no excuse for someone that has accepted Messiah in his/her life. If a born-again believer has received the Spirit within, he/she has received the Spirit of truth, and he can enable him/her to overcome the sinful lies of the old nature.

If you are continually lying and you confess to be a believer, then you do not have the Spirit (Holy Spirit).

A true believer must have the hatred of lying, this will indicate to that person that Messiah is within him/her.

Those who habitually lie are giving an indication that they have never known Yahuah's salvation and the new life that comes with it, and they will not escape Father's punishment (Proverbs 19:5).

Yahuah does not lie, therefore true believers in Messiah grow in Him not to lie.

Satan is the father of lies and those who habitually or purposely lie are naturally his children.

Bribes

He does not regard any ransom, nor accept your bribe, however great! - Proverbs 6:35.

He who is greedy for gain, troubles his own house, but he who hates bribes lives - Proverbs 15:27.

A bribe is a stone of favour in the eyes of its owner; Wherever he turns, he prospers - Proverbs 17:8.

One who is wrong accepts a bribe behind the back to pervert the paths of right-ruling - Proverbs 17:23.

A gift in secret subdues displeasure, and a bribe in the bosom, strong wrath - Proverbs 21:14.

A sovereign establishes a land by right-ruling, but one who receives bribes throws it down - Proverbs 29:4.
