Every branch, His friend and He chose

 

The Vine and the branch

Messiah is the true vine (tree) and all those who believe, love and obey are the branches to the vine. Yahuah is the gardener: “Every branch in Me that bears no fruit He takes away. And every branch that bears fruit He prunes, so that it bears more fruit – John 15:2.

Other words Father in heaven removes those from Messiah who are lukewarm (who say they are believers by their lips but their actions is of a non-believer). Does verse 2 not therefore mean we can lose our salvation? Read carefully what Father says and make up your own mind: Heavenly Father is the gardener: “Every branch in Me (Messiah) that bears no fruit He takes away. If you still doubt about verse 2, then the next verse 6 will confirm that you can lose your salvation: “If anyone does not stay in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up. And they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

To me it is very clear from these two verses that salvation can be taken away from a believer. The two verses show me that I cannot just say “I believe in Jesus,” but I need to walk out that believe everyday by the fruit I bear.

And if you bear fruit, this is what Father says: if your action in Messiah grows, Father will give you more truth and you will grow and grow and bear many fruits. The more you came to know Messiah, your relationship with Him becomes closer and He gives you more truth.

 

Stay in Me and bear Fruit

John Chapter 15 is a parable of a tree (Messiah) with many branches (believers) and the many fruit it bears (love/trust/obey).

No branch can bear fruit if it is not connected to the vine as stated in John 15:4 “Stay in Me, and I stay in you. As the branch is unable to bear fruit of itself, unless it stays in the vine, so neither you, unless you stay in Me.

If we are not completely in Messiah then it would be impossible to bear fruit (do His will/desire). This is confirmed in John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit. Because without Me you are able to do naught (nothing)!

We make Heavenly Father great (esteem Him) when we bear many good fruit – John5:8. Do you know that Messiah/Father chose you and not you choosing Him – John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name He might give you.

 

He chooses you to go and bear good fruit for Him. The mystery is if a believer bears good fruit, he/she can ask anything from Heavenly Father in the Name of the Messiah, and Father might give it. “Stay in Me, and I stay in you – John 15:4.

In verse 5, Messiah says again, He who stays in Me, and I in him, he bears much fruit.

John15:7 “If you stay in Me, and My Words stay in you, you shall ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you.

What words is Messiah talking about that you must stay in? It is His commands, His will/desire you must stay in. Once you do this, He may give what you ask for.

His Friends

John 15:12 “This is My command, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Second time, “These words I command you, so that you love one another – John 15:17.

 

John 15:13-15 “No one has greater love than this: that one should lay down his life for his friends. “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. “No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, for all teachings which I heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Amazing! Yahusha (Jesus) calls you His friend, if you lay down your life, to love Him and to do His commands.

Has it sink in? Let me say this again: You are His friend if you just obey Him.

Abraham was called a friend of Yahuah. Isaiah 41: 8 “But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend.

 

James 2:23 And the Scripture was filled which says, “Abraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” And he was called, “Elohim’s friend.”

Why did Heavenly Father say Abraham is His friend? It was because Abraham trusted and obeyed Yahuah. Abraham did not doubt or dis-obey Heavenly Father, he fully trusted Him.

Moses was also a friend - Exodus 33:11 thus Yahuah spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

We too can be called His friend! He did not make it hard for us to be His friend. Just believe He is the Creator of the universe and trust and obey Him.

 

Messiah Yahusha also has friends - Luke 12:4 “But I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that are unable to do any more.

I have a friend in Yahusha.

He chose me

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you…- John 15:16.

 

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own (love the world). But because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, for that reason the world hates you – John 15:19.

You can confess you know the Almighty but it is Him who chooses you.

John 15:17 “These words I command you, so that you love one another. Messiah says it once again in John15:12 “This is My command, that you love one another, as I have loved you.

John 13:34 “A renewed command I give to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

This is the supreme example He gave us, that the brothers and sisters should love one another as much as He loved us, even to lay down our lives for each other. Do you struggle with keeping this command, sometimes I do!

But remember He says if we love Him, we will do His commands.

John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If they persecuted Me, they shall persecute you too – part of verse 20.

 

John 15:21 “But all this they shall do to you because of My Name, because they do not know Him who sent Me.

Do people hate you or avoid you? Do you have little or no friends because of your believe and your lifestyle in Messiah?

Do not worry about this because Messiah Yahusha said it would happen because of Him.

If you are doing the things of this world (entertainment), then you will not be hated.

Messiah says in John 15:27 “also bear witness.” If He has chosen you, then you need to bear fruit (witness)!

The Spirit of Truth will teach you

 

Do you want what you ask of Heavenly Father?

John 14:12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he shall do also. Do you believe?

John 14:13 “And whatever you ask in My Name, that I shall do … Verse 14, “If you ask whatever in My Name, I shall do it.

When shall He do this? When you believe!

Do you love Him? If you believe, then you would also love Him.

Hear what Yahusha (Jesus) says about love!

 

John 14:15 “If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.

 

Messiah says a second time in John 14:21 “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

 

Messiah says it again for the third time in John 14:23 “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him.

A perfect sequence: First Believe, then love, then obedience.

If you do all three; believe, love, obey; then this is what Yahuah will do: “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – John 14:16.

John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you.

The Helper (Holy Spirit) will remind you what Messiah said about believing, loving and obeying. The Helper will also teach you all things of the Kingdom.

So, the question is to all of us: do you really truly believe? Do you really truly love Him?

How can you test yourself if you believe and love Him!

This is the test! Are you keeping His commands/Words?

What is your answer?

What is the greatest command? 

Matthew 22:37 and Yahusha said to him, “‘You shall love Yahuah (Heavenly Father) your Elohim with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind.’

The greatest command is to love Yahuah with everything you have. You name anything in this world you have or want. Father says you need to love Him more than anything you have or want.

Let me ask you this question? What is the greatest sin?

Think about this carefully!

Are you keeping the greatest command?

If not, what is the greatest sin? Yahusha (Jesus) says in John 14:24 “He who does not love Me does not guard My Words.

 

Simple way to say it: The one that does not love Messiah does not keep the commands!

If you believe and love Him; you will do and obey His commands without questions.

John 15:9-10 “As the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you. Stay in My love. “If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.

The way to Father

There is only one way to Heavenly Father (Yahuah)!

John 14:6 Yahusha (Jesus) said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

If you want a relationship with Heavenly Father, you need to know Messiah first!

 

Messiah said in John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father too.

Once you know the Messiah, you automatically know Heavenly Father Yahuah.

Philip the disciple asks Messiah to show the Father to them (John 14:8) and Messiah replies in verse 9, “Have I been with you so long, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father, and how do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

So, do you know Messiah, if you do, then you would know all about the Father!

It comes down to believe!

John 14:10 “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from Myself. But the Father who stays in Me does His works.

Messiah is saying that He does not do His own thing but what His Father tells Him He does. Many people miss what Messiah said here!

Messiah did not come to earth to do His own thing, like changing the law! He came to restore the covenant that was broken by shedding His blood! This is the only way to the Father, no other way!

If you do not believe this about the Messiah then you do not have a blood covering! Then your sins are not washed clean with His blood offering.

 

Anyone that does not believe Yahusha the Messiah sins is not covered. They need a Levitical High Priest to slaughter animals for offering as what was done in Moses time when they were in the wilderness.

My High Priest is Yahusha. 

A place been prepared

The first step to the Kingdom of Yahuah is to “Believe.”

In John chapter 14, Messiah says seven times “believe,” in fact the whole chapter is based on believe.

You need to believe that He exists, need to believe He came down to earth to walk with us and you need to believe that He died and rose again after three days.

Once you believe, you will trust and obey!

Messiah said in John 14:1 “Let not your heart be troubled. Believe….

 

In John 14:27 He said again, “Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Other words, He says “trust Me.”

At this present moment, Yahusha (Jesus) is preparing a place for His bride and He promised He will come back.

John 14:2-3 “In My Father’s house are many staying places. And if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I shall come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, you might be too.

 

In John 14:18 He says, “I shall not leave you orphans – I am coming to you.

Did you hear that?

John 14:28 He says again, “You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming to you.’

 

It is a promise He made to the disciples and that promise includes us!

He is coming back! 

His command is everlasting

Then Yahusha (Jesus) cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. “And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. – John 12:44-45.

What Messiah is saying is that if you believed in the Creator of the heavens and the earth, then you would believe what Messiah said because Heavenly Father sent Him.

John 12:47 “And if anyone hears My Words but does not watch over them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.

In other words, Messiah is saying; if you do hear His commands but you do not keep them, He will not judge you now because He first came to save.

John 12:48“He who rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has one who judges him: The Word that I have spoken shall judge him in the last day.

Again, Messiah is saying, if you hear His Words (commands) and you reject them, you will be judged by His Words at the end of this age.

We are going to be judged according to the Words Yahusha spoke, nothing else!

His Words (teachings, commands) are the same as His Father’s. Yahusha answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me – John 7:16. 

This is proof that Yahusha is the True Messiah, the True Prophet, according to the promise and the proofs given by Yahuah in Deuteronomy 18:15-20 ‘I shall raise up for them a Prophet like you out of the midst of their brothers. And I shall put My Words v in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. ‘And it shall be, the man who does not listen to My Words which He speaks in My Name, I require it of him. ‘But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other mighty ones, even that prophet shall die.’ The Messiah, as confirmed in Acts 3:22-26, and Acts 7:37.

John 12:49 “Because I spoke not from Myself, but the Father who sent Me has given Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.

Yahuah gave His Son instructions (commands) as to what He should say when He walk here on earth.

Messiah did not make up His own commands; He did what Heavenly Father told Him to do.

John 12:50“And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, as the Father has said to Me, so I speak.”

 

Messiah says in Matthew 19:17, but if you wish to enter into life, guard the commands.”

The ultimate proof of our love towards Elohim is this: Whether we obey Yahusha as He commands us to keep the Father’s commands!

Read also Luke 10:28, And He said to him, “You have answered rightly. Do this and you shall live.” And Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are those doing m His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.

This is the same as the command He twice gave: Go and sin no more!

The commands that Heavenly Father gave in the beginning is also the same commands Messiah Yahusha is speaking about.

His commands will lead you to everlasting life!
