Everyone has a day!

For Yahuah of hosts has a day against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up, so that it is brought low; and against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan; and against all the high mountains, and against all the hills that are lifted up; and against every lofty tower, and against every strong wall; and against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all the desirable craft – Isaiah 2:12-16.

And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the pride of men shall be brought low. And Yahuah alone shall be exalted in that day, and the idols completely pass away - Isaiah 2:17-18.

He wants to be exalted.

Father saying that He will bring anyone down to a humble level all those who become proud and act as if they think they are better than others.

Everyone has a day when this happens.

How does man become proud and lofty? It is when men and woman build up their riches through money, jewellery, homes, work, cars, status and position that they become proud and lofty.

It is all man-made achievements.

Father is not talking to non-believers; He is talking to those who say they believe Him.

Isaiah 2:6-9, we in rich us with entertainment, silver (gold), treasures, cars (horses), idols (TV, sport, music, false gods) which is all things made by man.

In Isaiah 2:10 and 19 speaks of fleeing into the holes in rocks and caves.

It is a warning of fleeing from sin as judgment will come from Yahuah.

Turn back to Yahuah, make Him first in your life and remove all idols, which is anything that is more important than Yahauh - verse 20.

We need to fear judgment day because Father is going to shake the world mightily - verse 21.

Do not rely on man but on the Almighty only - verse 22.

This day is coming, a day when all will stand in front of Him and be judged.

Let us as believers, hear!

The prophet speaks of today

When I read Isaiah chapter 1, it is as if I’m reading one of the 4 gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. It is about been a sinner, doing evil, then the hearing of the Word, followed by repentance, punishment, turning back to the Almighty and then finally forgiveness.

It is the gospel of the new testament!

Let me take you through Isaiah chapter 1 and tell me if you also see what I see - it is all about us today, been a believer, mixing the truth with falsehood, doing our own thing, not obeying the Word until we realize we cannot be without our Creator and then we turn back and repent.

Verse 2, Yahuah says "Hear and listen people, I have made the universe and all people but they have turned away from Me." Is Father not saying “I have made everything but still you do not believe!”

Verse 3-8, it is about all the sins, wickedness, evils and crimes of the people in the land.

In verse 9, only a handful of people are true believers doing what is right. Why is it always just a remnant that are true?

Verse 10 - Hear the word of Yahuah, you rulers of Sodom; give ear to the Torah (Laws) of our Elohim, you people of Gomorrah! Here we are today, and this question Father is asking again.

Verse 11-15 is all about false worship. It is about people that say they are believers by going to church, reading their Bibles but on the other side they still whore, steal, commit adultery, watch pornography stuff, dress up like whores and so and so on. Father says in these verses that He ignores their worship, do not bless their singing and does not hear their prayers. He is saying that they are all doing it in vain because it is all for self, being proud.

Hear what Father says in verse 16-17, “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Stop doing evil!

What does John the Baptist and the disciples teach; repent, Baptist (clean by water), turn back and follow Him truly with all your heart. Messiah Yahusha has opened up the path to the Father.

No difference in what the people need to do in verse 16-17.

Verse 18: Your sins will be forgiven and not be remembered. No difference today: Messiah tells us the same thing.

Verse 19, If you are willing and hear, you shall eat the good of the land. Other words for us today; if you have faith and obey (do) then you will be blessed and have ever lasting life.

Verse 20, But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword; for the mouth of Yahuah has spoken. For us today: if you keep on wilfully sinning then judgment will come upon you.

What the prophet said then, is for us today as well.

"Hear and listen people.”

Paul

Paul or Shaul (Hebrew) was born outside the land of Israel in a city in Cilicia called Tarsus (Turkey area). He was born to parents who were of the tribe of Judah, therefore Paul was a Judean (Jew) who spoke the Hebrew language - Acts 21:40 and Acts 22:1-3.

When Yahusha (Jesus) confronted Paul on his way to Damascus, Messiah spoke to Paul in the Hebrew language - Acts 26:14.

The city Cilicia was part of the Roman territory therefore Paul was also a Roman citizen - Acts 22:25-28. Similar to a South African couple living in Australia with a child born there, the child is an Australian citizen but still a South African.

Paul was taught the Old Testament (Torah) by a Torah teacher called Gamaliel (Gamliel) - Acts 22:3. Paul was a Pharisee, which means Paul was also taught the extra commands the Pharisees added to the law (Torah) of Yahuah.

But Paul knew these added laws by the Pharisees where wrong once he turned to Yahusha. Paul was part of the group of Pharisees that was responsible for Stephens death but Paul repented of this deed and was baptized in the Name of Yahusha. His sins were forgiven and Yahusha used him to take the gospel to the Israelites as well as to the other nations - Acts 22:6-20.

When Paul was a Pharisee, he was taught their ways which Paul believed he was doing for Elohim (Almighty) and had only good conscience of what he was doing until Yahusha spoke to him - Acts 23:1 and Acts 24:16. Once Paul knew the Messiah, he was committed to Yahusha and was prepared to die for the Name of Yahusha - Acts 21:13.

It says in Acts 28:23 that Paul was explaining, earnestly witnessing about the kingdom of the Almighty, and convincing them concerning Yahusha from both the Torah (Law) of Moses and the prophets. Paul was preaching from the Old Testament about the Messiah.

In Acts 24:5 Paul was accused of been “a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.” To this, Paul replies: (1) He was engaged in a more important business than to contend about the name which they chose to give to the believers in Yahusha. (2) He admits that he belonged to that sect of Nazarenes. (3) He maintains that in this way he was still worshipping Yahuah of his forefathers. Of this, the fact that he was engaged in worship in the temple was sufficient proof. (4) He shows them that he believed only what was written in the Law and the prophets (Old Testament); that it was his constant and earnest desire to keep a pure conscience in all things. Paul said, Yahuah; the Elohim (Almighty) whom my Israelite ancestors adored is the one I am worshipping. He had introduced no new object of worship; he had not become a follower of a false or foreign god; and this fact was really a reply to their charge that he was setting up a new sect in religion.

The same thing Paul affirms of himself in 2 Timothy 1:3; I thank Elohim, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my forefathers did, as I unceasingly remember you in my prayer’s night and day, longing to see you, as I remember your tears, so that I might be filled with joy.

I hear many people today say Paul was a false apostle but those same people forget Peter said that if you do not understand Paul's letters, you would misunderstand him. I believe, Paul's letters have been mistranslated and also believe there were a certain group of people who added to his letters making it more misleading to understand him.

In many later letters Paul seems to suggest the law of Yahuah is no longer applicable to us today but when you read the verses I mentioned above, mostly written by Luke, it is clear Paul followed and believed in the law, prophets (as his Israelite forefathers did) and in the Messiah Yahusha which was foretold in the Old Testament.

Messiah Yahusha gave Paul a command when He spoke to him on the Damascus road: go to Israel and the other nations and tell them they should repent of their sins and turn back to the Almighty Creator Yahuah - Acts 26:20.

That was Paul's mission.

The faith of Paul

In Acts chapter 27 we read of Paul's ordeal as a prisoner been shipped with other prisoners to the Roman Emperor and how they went through terrible storms during this trip.

We read of the true faith Paul had during this tribulation of storms and on top of this he was shackled with chains. Even in this situation Paul did not give up on believing and trusting Yahuah.

He was a faithful servant to Yahusha (Jesus) and chapter 27 should be a witness for us.

When they were in the middle of the storm and it seemed that they would sink and die, Paul told the Captain, the soldiers and the other prisoners that Yahuah had promised him they would be saved from the storm - Acts 27:22-26.

Yahuah sent a messenger (Angel) to inform Paul, that he and the crew on the ship would be saved.

In Acts 27:29, the crew were praying, showing that they also believed.

In Acts 27:44 Paul and all the crew made it safely to the land, as Yahuah promised He would do.

Paul's faith in Yahuah saved them all.

And then once on land, Paul was bitten by a snake in Acts 28:3-6 on his hand but it did not swell up or was harmed by the snake’s venom.

In Mark 16:18 Yahusha said, no harm will come to those who truly believe in Him - “And these signs shall accompany the ones who believe: In My Name they shall cast out demons, they shall speak with renewed tongues, they shall take up snakes, and if they drink any deadly drink it shall by no means hurt them, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall get well.”

Paul is an example to us of truly believing and trusting the Creator of the universe.

We should take note of Paul's faith!

Worthy of Repentance

Paul was instructed to go to all people and tell them to repent and turn to Elohim, and do works worthy of repentance - Acts 26:20.

What works is worthy of repentance?

Remember repentance means to turn 180 degrees around from your old ways and to walk the new way (Messiah's way). So, the works of repentance which should be worthy of is example; the old way was watching pornography material and after repentance the works (action) is not to ever watch pornography again. In other words, do not just say "Father, please forgive me for watching porn material but then a week later you go back and watch again. That is false repentance!

Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of Adam (Messiah) is going to come in the esteem of His Father with His messengers, and then He shall reward each according to his works.

Is your repentance worthy or is it just lip talk!

Psalm 62:12 and kindness is Yours, O Yahuah; for You reward each one according to his work.

Even David knew that repentance needs to be by works!

Romans 2:6 who “shall render to each one according to his works.”

Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Messiah Yahusha unto good works, which Elohim prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Good works is worthy of repentance!

Revelation 22:12 “And see, I am coming speedily, and My reward is with Me, to give to each according to his work. To the true repentance ones and to the false repentance ones.

This is Yahusha (Jesus) speaking to what is waiting for all of us at the end of the age.

When you repent and turn to the Almighty, your faith needs to be shown by means of your actions (works) that you are serious about following in the footsteps of Messiah, you cannot just pretend!

The works are the evidence of your faith.

Faith without works is dead faith—in word only—not being true faith at all.
