What rest is needed – Hebrews 3 & 4

Father Yahuah tells us to enter into His rest! What is this rest and how do we enter this rest?

David explains the wrath that came on the people for forty years who went astray and had harden hearts and Yahuah said, ‘if they enter into My rest….’ (Psalm 95:7-11)

Other words, Yahuah said, ‘if they just would have entered into My rest, I would not have been wrath with them.’

Yahuah swear they would not enter His rest (Hebrews 3:18-19).

What rest?

It is important we understand this “rest” so our hearts are not hardened and we also do not get to enter this rest.

Jude reminds us just as David did of the people that were destroyed who came out of Egypt whose hearts were hard with unbelief.(Jude 1:5)

If I read the scripture correctly, there is a spiritual rest and a physical rest!

Spiritual rest: belief that He exists, He created all and He gives to those who asks.

Physical rest: the Sabbath, just as He rested on the 7th day so too must we.

What are the signs of His children: Belief in Him and keeping the Sabbath!

We spiritual and physical rest in Him.

Not only in words but by belief and by obedience do we rest in Him.(Hebrews 11:6)

Obedience is the fruit of belief or obedience is the evidence of faith and needed to enter Yahuah's rest.

This promise of rest in Him still remains today for those who fear Him and want to be with Him. (Hebrews 4:1).

So, enter into His rest through true belief and keeping the shabbat as Elohim rested on the 7th day from all His works.

Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience as our forefathers did.

“Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts,” enter into His rest (Hebrews 4:3-11).

Hebrews 3:11 “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest ...’

Romans 3:31 Do we then nullify the Torah through the belief? Let it not be! On the contrary, we establish the Torah.
