Paul in our time

We are in the same situation as Paul was in his time. He started following Yahusha’s (Jesus) way after He ascended to heaven. Just as we come to know Messiah for the first time, we later repent of our wrongs, then go through baptizing and then follow/worship Him so too did Paul go through these steps.

In Acts chapter 13 Paul judges.

Many people today say we are not allowed to judge or we will be judged! Is this true?

In Acts 13:6-11 Paul met some men who were believers and one of these men was a false prophet. In verse 10 Paul says to this person “O son of the devil, filled with all deceit and all recklessness, you enemy of all righteousness, shall you not cease perverting the straight ways of Yahuah?

If I had to say the following to a person who is perverting from scripture, “you are not talking the truth and you may end up in hell for being false if you keep on spreading falsehood!” I’m judging but is it wrong?

Think about this for a moment! Would Father rather want me to be quiet and not say something, or would He rather want me to tell the person the truth and hopefully realize he/she is doing wrong and repent.

Maybe he/she was saying this unintentionally and through me saying something, he/she finds the truth. If he/she was doing this purposely then they would know they may end up in hell. Paul was judging this man but he was judging him based on clear evidence that he was intentionally been false.

Agree you cannot judge someone for any reason! Importantly: before you judge make sure your side is clean and you are not being a hypocrite.

What does Matthew 7:3-5 say; “And why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye? “Or how is it that you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the splinter out of your eye,’ and see, a plank is in your own eye? “Hypocrite!

In Acts Chapter 13 Paul also mentions the Sabbath! Many people say the Sabbath is nailed to the cross and therefore this command is not applicable for us today.

Keep in mind Paul was preaching after the Messiah was crucified meaning he was in the same situation as we are today.

So why did Paul not say anything about the Sabbath been nailed to the cross!

In Acts 13:14 Paul goes into the congregation (church) on the Sabbath day and sat down. In verse 15 the leaders ask Paul if he will preach the word, which he does (verse 16-41).

Paul did not say anything about the Sabbath no longer to be kept! Okay, so people will tell me Paul was with the Jews and only the Jews keep the Sabbath.

Let me show you that Paul was not only talking to Jews but to other nations as well. Acts 13:26 Paul says this, “Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing Elohim, to you the word of this deliverance has been sent, ….. Paul is speaking to two groups of people in this verse, namely the Jews and people from other nations.

Let me show you! In the first part he is saying “the seed of Abraham” and in the second part of the verse he is talking to those of the other nations that fear/follow the Almighty.

Read verse 26 for yourself. In verse 42, when Paul finished speaking to the other nations, they asked him to come and speak again at the next Sabbath.

Paul went to speak to the Jews and other nations on the next Sabbath – verse 44.

In Acts 14:1, Paul again went to preach the Good News gospel on the Sabbath to both the Jews and the Greeks who were together in one place on the Sabbath.

If the Sabbath was no longer to be kept, would Paul not have mentioned it!

The power of Pray

Peter the apostle was arrested and put in prison with chains placed on his hands and feet. Many prison guards were there to guard Peter – Acts 12:3-6.

When the assembly of believers heard that Peter was imprisoned, they came together to earnestly pray to the Almighty – Acts 12:5.

An Angel of Yahuah came that night to free Peter from prison verse 7-8. Peter at first thought he was seeing a vision (or dreaming) but then realized all was true and he was lead free from prison – verse 9.

Peter was overjoyed and knew Yahuah was with him – verse 11. When Peter came to the place where all the people including Mark were praying for him, they were overjoyed when they saw him – verse 16.

The girl that heard Peter speaking at the door to let him in could not open the door due to the surprise of hearing Peter’s voice. Many said she was mad when she told them Peter is at the door – Acts 12:13-16.

Can we see what pray can achieve if we really believe in Yahauh!

All of them stood together and prayed for Peter to be set free and Yahuah heard their pray.

We must not take pray lightly and say it like a poem.

Pray to Him as you speak to your parents, or to a teacher or to your boss at work.

Heavenly Father searches and looks into everyone’s heart and whatever you pray, let it came from your heart.

Do not stop praying!

Buying the Word

Do you know that in the Apostles time there were doctrines been preached that had a mixture of the Word of Yahuah (Heavenly Father) and pagan teachings (false worship)?

Do you know that today there are also church doctrines that teach a mixture of the Word (truth) and pagan (false)?

Many today are deceived in thinking they are hearing the truth.

There was a man in the Apostles time that had people following him thinking he was preaching the word of Yahuah.

His name was Simon Magus – Acts 8:9-11. Magus means a magician. He was doing tricks of magic and people believed he was a follower of Yahusha (Jesus). He even confessed he believed in the Messiah and even was baptized by one of the Apostles – Acts 8:13.

Simon Magus was amazed on the miracles the Apostles were doing in the Name of Messiah. When he saw the Apostles praying for the people after they were baptized and receiving the Set-apart (Holy) Spirit, he wanted the authority to do this as well.

He offered the Apostles money to receive the authority to pray for the Set-apart (Holy) Spirit to be given to new believers – Acts 8:18-19.

Can you believe this: he wanted to pay money to be a follower of Messiah! Can you see the difference between a true believer and a lukewarm believer! A true believer, believes from the heart (soul) and a lukewarm believer, believes from the flesh.

Peter says to him in Acts 8:20-21 you cannot buy the truth with money and also says that his heart is not in the right place.

Peter tells him this is evil!

Can we understand that today there are still people that think like Simon Magus and believe that money can buy your way to the Kingdom of Yahuah.

Just like Peter told Simon Magus to repent of this evil and to ask the Almighty forgiveness of the intension of his heart, so too is Peter telling those who doing the same thing as Simon Magus!

Why was Stephen killed?

In Acts 6:8 it says that Stephen (Stephanos) was filled with belief in Messiah Yahusha (Jesus), and went around preaching to all people. But just like today there were certain so-called believers who stood up and disputed with Stephen – verse 9.

Stephen had wisdom of the scriptures and the Set-apart (Holy) Spirit was with him to answer them but they were not able to “answer” his arguments – they could not resist the truth - verse 10.

Acts 6:11-12 then they instigated men to say, “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and Elohim (Almighty).” And they stirred up the people, and the elders, and the scribes, so they came upon him, seized him, and brought him to the council.

Think about this for a moment: these were people who said they believed in the One true Elohim. They set up false witnesses against him! They must have paid people to testify falsely against him! Nothing has changed, it still happens today!

Stephen was taken to the high court and the high priest asked Stephen if everything these people are accusing him of, was it true – Acts 7:1.

In Acts 7:2 to 36 Stephen then had to explain the whole history of Abraham and the promise covenant Yahuah made with him. From Joseph being in Egypt to how the Israelites were enslaved to how Moses came and lead them out of Egypt. How Yahuah spoke to Moses at the burning bush to how Israel was led by Yahuah for 40 years in the desert. Stephen told the court of the golden calf the people made when Moses was on Mount Sinai – verse 39-41.

In Acts 7:42, Stephen says that Elohim gave the people over to worship the host of the heavens and idols like Molek and Kiyyun images. Host of the heavens means the worship of the moon, the sun and the stars. Why did Almighty give them over to worship these images? Because they would not obey Moses who had received the living Words (the 10 commandments). Just pause here for a moment and read verse 42 again! Stephen says something very important in verse 39.

Stephen says the following: our fathers would not become obedient, but thrust away, and in their hearts, they turned back to Egypt. They wished to return to Egypt. They regretted that they had come out of Egypt, and desired again the things which they had there in Egypt.

Who would they not obey????? It was Yahusha! Yahusha was at Mount Sinai as mentioned by Stephen in Acts 7:37-38.

Stephen reminded them about their forefathers who resisted the Set Apart (Holy) Spirit in verse 51. He also reminded them of their forefathers that persecute and killed the prophets of Yahuah who told them of the coming of the Messiah – verse 52. Stephen told them in the same verse that they now became the betrayers and murderers. They could also not keep the commandments which they received – verse 53.

At this moment those in the court were so angry at Stephen and were gnashing their teeth against him – verse 54.

Then Stephen saw a vision of heaven opening and saw the glory of Elohim, and saw Yahusha standing at the right of Father – verse 55-56.

At this moment all of them in the court cried out in a loud voice, grabbed Stephen and took him outside of the court and stoned him – verse 57-60.

Stephen told them the truth about them rejecting the Messiah at Mount Sinai, rejecting Him in the wilderness, rejected the prophets who spoke about the Messiah and also rejecting the Set apart (Holy) Spirit, just like their fathers did!

The truth hurt them and the only way to make Stephen quiet was to kill him.

Today they still reject the truth! But that is not all; even so-called Christians reject Him by not obeying Him! We are been taught that all we need to do is say a little pray and ask Jesus into our life and all is good. We can carry on with our old way of sinning and living in the world and its entertainment, that is still acceptable.

No, my friend that is not true.

That is what man says but the Bible says something different! It says, repent of your sins, baptize in water and belief.

Repent means turn away from sin, not to continue in it and follow Messiah (believe).

If you believe Him, other words love Him, you will obey Him.

That is what caused Stephen’s death as he told them they knew the Messiah and the Set apart (Holy) Spirit but they did not obey Him.

Today many still do not obey Him although they say they know Him.

Molech and the star of remphan worship - yesterday and today

And you took up the tent of molech (molek or Moloch) and the star of your mighty one (god) remphan (Kiyyun), images (figures) which you made to bow before them – Acts 7:43.

Humans have always been worshipping idols even in the time of the Israelites when they were walking in the wilderness with the presence of Heavenly Father.

Today we are still worshipping idols, many doing it unknowingly and many doing it openly. This includes so-called believers or Christians that have idols they unknowingly worshipping.

Who is molech and remphan that Stephen is saying the people are worshipping?

The combination of mlk, melekh, and bosheth results in “Moloch,” which could be interpreted as “the personified ruler of shameful sacrifice.” It has also been spelled Milcom, Milkim, Malik, and Moloch. In addition to sexual rituals, Moloch worship included child sacrifice, or “passing children through the fire.”

It is believed that idols of Moloch were giant metal statues of a man with a bull’s head. Each image had a hole in the abdomen and possibly outstretched forearms that made a kind of ramp to the hole. A fire was lit in or around the statue. Babies were placed in the statue’s arms or in the hole. When a couple sacrificed their firstborn, they believed that Moloch would ensure financial prosperity for the family and future children. In North Africa, Moloch was renamed “Kronos.” Kronos migrated to Carthage in Greece, and his mythology grew to include his becoming a Titan and the father of Zeus.

Yahuah (Heavenly Father) warned them not to participate in Moloch worship (Leviticus 18:21) and repeatedly told them to destroy those cultures that worshiped Moloch.

The Israelites didn’t heed Father’s warnings. Instead, they incorporated Moloch worship into their own traditions.

Even Solomon, the wisest king, was swayed by this cult and built places of worship for Moloch and other gods (1 Kings 11:1–8).

Moloch worship occurred in the “high places” (1 Kings 12:31) as well as a narrow ravine outside Jerusalem called the Valley of Hinnom (2 Kings 23:10). This worship was phrased "pass through the fire to Molech," that children were made to pass between two lines of fire as a kind of consecration.

The prophets Isaiah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah condemned them of killing and burning of their children.

The ancient city of Carthage was the capital of the Phoenician empire. Their civilization was advanced culturally and highly educated. Archaeological expeditions have revealed its most notable feature - the high incidence of child sacrifice. Archaeological relics have been uncovered, such as the altars on which children were sacrificed and stone markers, which marked the burial place of the remains. Stone carvings on the markers depict children who were sacrificed. Clay jars were used to hold the remains. Entire burial grounds full of these slaughtered children have been uncovered.

This is barbaric, but this is precisely what we are doing through abortion. With one obvious exception - today we don't honour or bury the children we kill.

Today Moloch is given another name, abortion and child trafficking.

Yahuah is not mocked.

We have to ask ourselves: How far are we from a judgment for our own abortion holocaust?

Witchcraft (demon) is linked to rebellion - specifically, rebellion against Yahuah's authority. This can be heard in the feminist chant: "Not the church, not the state, women must decide our fate!" Or they say “This is my right, no one can stop me from doing whatever I want with my body!” Abortion: the moral equivalent of ancient child sacrifice. Like Molech worship, abortion is a sacrifice.

Any woman who aborts her child sacrifices it to whatever she considers more important: a college degree, her career, family approval, not wanting to care for a child, looking good in a bikini that summer - whatever.

A true story: a crisis pregnancy centre was visited by a Christian girl who was disappointed to find out she was pregnant. The centre tried to help the girl, who was set to have twins – offering free medical care and services for her and her babies’ needs – so that she would choose life for her babies. But the problem was her due date. Rather than miss a cruise for which she had booked tickets, she chose to abort.

The babies are no longer sacrificed on the altars of the ancient gods Molech and Baal. Instead, they are sacrificed on the altars of convenience or material benefits.

Yahusha spoke to the church of Thyatira about another Jezebel: "But I have one thing against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess and she teaches and leads my bond servants astray so that they commit acts of immortality and eat things sacrificed to idols" (Revelation 2:20).

Truly, we are today that church of Thyatira and Jezebel (Feminism). It’s no coincidence that abortion and can in a way include child trafficking - today's form of child sacrifice - came right along with it. Through abortion, we have followed precisely the same slippery slope to destruction. In fact, we are already there.

Ezekiel 16:20 gives us even further evidence of our guilt today. "Moreover, you took your sons and daughters which you bore unto me and you sacrificed them to idols to be devoured."

The scripture provides a model for our response to child sacrifice in our era. The Old Testament is not just a collection of stories, but provides temporal examples of what we must accomplish in the spiritual realm. We need to follow Yahusha into the Promised Land, and as He commanded Moses and Joshua before so to should we presently, destroy all idolatry.

Psalm 106:1-4 Praise Yah! Oh, give thanks to Yahuah, for He is good! For His kindness is everlasting. Who does relate the mighty acts of Yahuah?

Or declare all His praise?

Blessed are those who guard right-ruling, who do righteousness at all times! Remember me, O Yahauh, in the acceptance of Your people; visit me with Your deliverance (save).

Children are a gift from Yahuah.

And you took up the tent of molech (molek or Moloch) and the star of your mighty one (god) remphan, images (figures) which you made to bow before them – Acts 7:43.

Today, remphan is still worshipped as an idol, many doing it unknowingly and many doing it openly. Who or what is remphan that Stephen is saying the people are worshipping?

I must be honest, writing this message was not easy as my research was difficult and confusing at times. Finding the history of the star of remphan led too many different paths and not to mention what this star represents today or how it is worshipped.

Remphan has many names in different cultures; Rephan (pedestal-Riyphun), Kijun, kiyyun, Chiun, Chi-un, rompha, remfan, renpu (rempu), ken (khem) and Ramadan (muslims). This all leads to the planet Saturn/Saturnalia (star or planet worship)!

The star of Saturn was/is in the shape of a hexagram. The hexagram has six sides which is shaped like a star. Some researchers have mentioned this to be the Star of David or the seal of Solomon. The state of Israel’s flag has a hexagram symbol and many say this is the Star of David. Is the hexagram (six-pointed star) the star of remphan? There is no clear evidence from my research but what I could pick up is that it ties up to Saturn (satan) worship.

King Solomon sadly fell into idolatry worship in his latter days as king. Many states “Solomon’s seal” is in a shape of a hexagram. Again, this could not be proven!

We know King Solomon was deeply involved in witchcraft, he built many altars for false worship and practiced Moloch rituals. Read 2 Kings 23:13 of King Solomon building the altars.

1 King 10:14 and the weight of the gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold.

Revelation 13:18 here is wisdom: Let him who has understanding compute the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man and its number is six hundred and sixty-six. Six is the number of man and 666 shows man's government in rebellion to Heavenly Father.

One thing I am completely sure of, and that is nowhere in scripture (bible) does the word “star of David” come up or even mentions that David had a star type symbol.

If the symbol on the state of Israel’s flag is called the star of David then I must ask the question, where in scripture is this mentioned.

I do not believe this symbol is got anything to do with Yahuah or that David had a symbol in a shape of a star or in fact that he had anything as a symbol. My research has shown that the hexagram shape is in fact from satan. The devil worshippers all use this symbol.

Is this symbol the star of remphan? I cannot say it for sure! Remphan (Chiun) is the name of an idol worshipped secretly by the Israelites in the wilderness and Stephen knew it was still done in his time.

I have no doubt that it is still practiced today but it is still done in secret and in hidden symbols.

Hypocrisy and insincerity

Ananias and his wife Sapphira accepted Yahusha (Jesus) the Messiah and decided to sell their property and follow the disciples – Acts 5:1.

Both Ananias and Sapphira dropped dead within a few days of each other – Acts 5:5 & 10.

Why did they die and what should we learn from this incident?

They both told the disciples they were going to sell their possessions and give all the money they made from the possessions to Yahuah.

Instead of giving all the money for Yahuah as they said they would, Ananias with his wife’s approval gave a portion to the disciples and kept a portion for themselves – Acts 5:2.

Peter asked Ananias (Acts 5:3) and Sapphira (Acts 5:9) why did they lie and tested the Set Apart Spirit (Holy Spirit) of Yahuah.

Peter said to Ananias (Acts 5:4) the possessions and the money they made from selling their possessions were theirs to keep in the first place and nobody not even Yahuah asked them to give it up.

So why did they confess they would give all to Yahuah but only gave a portion when it came time to give! Peter said to him that he did not lie to them but actually he lied to Heavenly Father. His heart was not pure towards Yahuah.

It is true that Ananias “had” attempted to deceive the disciples and it is true, also, that this was a crime; but still, the principal magnitude of the offence was that he had attempted to deceive “Yahuah.”

He committed a small crime against “men” but the great crime was attempting to deceive Heavenly Father that was brought fully into view. This crime was against Yahuah as they devoted it to Him.

They then attempted to deceive Him.

We may ask why were they punished so severe, and the answer may be as follows:

1) It was committed knowingly, and without excuse.

2) Yahuah has often, in a most solemn manner, shown his abhorrence of hypocrisy and insincerity. The lesson for us is:

a) Yahuah searches our heart and He knows what is going on in our hearts.

b) Yahuah judges the motives of people’s hearts.

c) Yahuah will show out hidden sin.

d) Fraud and hypocrisy will be detected in this life for all to see.

e) Sinners should fear and tremble before Yahuah.

He holds their breath in his hands. He can cut them down in an instant. The bold blasphemer, the unjust man, the liar, the scoffer, he can destroy in a moment, and sink them in all the woes of hell.

Yahuah punished them after Yahusha the Messiah was resurrected, so why do we think He will not do it still today.

Take note and fear His wrath because He does not change!

If you make a commitment to Yahuah, then make sure your heart is right as He will search your heart and He will know if there is hypocrisy or insincerity in your heart.

Threaten

Are you threaten by whoever when you speak the truth! When you speak the word of truth, the truth of Messiah, are you rejected, ignored or even threatened!

Well this is what happened to Peter and John when they obeyed Yahuah (Heavenly Father) and spoke the truth. They were thrown in prison, and then they stood in court the next day and were threaten not to preach the word or to say the Messiah’s Name.

This was because they were preaching the good news gospel and healing the sick in the Messiah’s Name. In court the high priest asked them “By what power or in what Name did you do this?” – Acts 4:7.

They answered “in the Name of Yahusha (Jesus) of Nazareth this one was healed” (the lame person) – Acts 4:8-10.

Peter said to them, “there is no other Name under the heaven given among men by which we need to be saved” – verse 12.

Then in verse 13-17, the court consulted with one another and said we cannot deny that a miracle was done but we need to stop this spreading further and we need to strongly threaten them not to speak no more of this Name.”

They called them in and forbid them ever to speak or teach in the Name of Yahusha – Acts 4:18.

Peter and John answered this to them “We have to obey Elohim rather than men, for it is impossible for us not to speak the truth” – verse 19-20.

The court released them but not after they were threatened by them again – verse 21.

Peter and John had no fear of these threats! What will you do if you are threaten not to speak the Name of Messiah?

This is something to think about!

This is a test we all may go through one day!

Peter said in Acts 4:11 “This is ‘the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’

Yahusha said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner-stone. This was from Yahuah, and it is marvellous in our eyes’? – Matthew 21:42.

Where in the scripture is mentioned about the cornerstone and who is the cornerstone?

Peter says to the court the stone was rejected by you builders which is now the chief cornerstone. David tells us in Psalm 118:22-23 the stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner-stone.

This was from Yahuah, it is marvellous in our eyes. David was speaking about the Messiah; in fact, the whole of Psalm 118 is speaking of the Messiah.

Psalm 118 is prophesying about Messiah to come, the Saviour (Deliverer) of Yah. This revelation about Messiah precedes the great “Law Psalm,” Psalm 119, for unless we are first declared righteous through belief in Him, we would have difficulty in saying, “Oh how I love Your teaching!” (Psalm 119:97).

David said in Psalm 118:14, 21 and 25 my deliverance and save me, meaning we need a Saviour.

Moses and Israel sang a song, Exodus 15: 2 “Yah is my strength and song, and He has become my deliverance (Saviour).

Also read Isaiah 12:2, in both these scriptures one might see it as a Messianic prophecy of the Messiah to come: The Saviour of Yah – giving us an indication of Messiah’s Name and what His Name means!

This identifies the True Messiah, as does Deuteronomy 18:18-20 ‘I shall raise up for them a Prophet like you out of the midst of their brothers. And I shall put My Words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. ‘And it shall be, the man who does not listen to My Words which He speaks in My Name, I require it of him. ‘But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My Name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other mighty ones, even that prophet shall die.’

The Messiah, as confirmed in Acts 3:22-26, and Acts 7:37. This identifies the True Messiah for us.

“For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘Yahuah your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear according to all matters, whatever He says to you. ‘And it shall be that every being who does not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ “And likewise, all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those following, have also announced these days. “You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which Elohim made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.’ “To you first, Elohim, having raised up His Servant Yahusha, sent Him to bless you, in turning away each one of you from your wicked ways” (Acts 3:22-26). “This is the Moses who said to the children of Israel, ‘Yahuah your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear’ (Acts 7:37).

Yahusha confirmed this fact in seven places in John, namely in John 3:34, 7:16, 8:28, 8:40, 12:49, 14:24, and 17:8 – His teachings (words, commands) are identical to those of His Father.

When we as a believer in Yahusha are threaten or prosecuted because of our belief or because we are talking the truth then we should pray as the disciples prayed when they were threatened.

They prayed the following: Acts 4:24-30 and having heard that, they lifted up their voice to Elohim with one mind and said, “Yahuah, You are Elohim, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them, who by the mouth of Your servant David have said, ‘Why did the gentiles rage, and the people plot in vain? ‘The sovereigns of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against Yahuah and against His Messiah.’ “For truly, in this city there were gathered together against Your set-apart Servant Yahusha, whom You anointed, both Herodes and Pontius Pilate, with the gentiles and the people of Israel to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose decided before to be done. “And now, Yahuah, look on their threats, and give to Your servants all boldness to speak Your word, by stretching out Your hand for healing, and signs, and wonders to take place through the Name of Your set-apart Servant Yahusha.” End of pray!

In this pray they mentioned King David!

Why? In Psalms 2:1-3 David prophesies what will happen to those who believe in Messiah: Why do the nations rage, and the peoples meditate emptiness? The sovereigns of the earth take their stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahuah and against His Messiah, and say, “Let us tear apart Their bonds, and throw away Their ropes from us.”

This prophesy describes the rebellion against Yahuah and His Messiah the Anointed One.

NOTE: In Psalm 2, three are speaking, namely David, Yahuah and the Messiah.

Read it for yourself!
